Main Power Origins: Magic ~ Niffan Physiology

Niffan's are beings made of magic, pure magic, and all magic - they at all times produce a strong magic aura that cannot be hidden - and thus can perform any and all forms and practices of magic. All spells, of all types, and natures, incantations, and curses galore are in reach of the magical being. That being said Niffin's are not born with the knowledge of how to do so. They are instead gifted with the innate ability to watch and learn however. That's a simplified version, the more in-depth version is a Niffin can sense other magical beings and through observing the individual can instantly imitate or copy any magic power they have. This is to say of course if the ability is not physically manifested into the user or involves another entity to achieve it - as in it requires a contract or knowing the being they are summoning such as a familiar, or turning into a werewolf/vampire which was caused by being bit by one. However, a Niffni can replicate all of the Vampire's abilities that aren't naturally part of it's anatomy (super-strength/speed).

Physical Weaknesses
- Troy must use his hands to cast enchantments and spells. For larger more powerful spells (for plot purposes) he must chant or speak key words and phrases in whatever dialect required.

- This Niffin's mind and body is young and cannot keep a library of these new magical feat. At the moment it can replicate three magical abilities and can only manifest one at a time. Upon learning a new mystic art it will forget the oldest one and must be reminded by seeing it again. If the magic it has learned is continuous then to use another spell Troy must stop the use of the former.

- Troy's body while no longer human is still human in design and make-up. And must stay that way for the Niffin to remain tethered here. Thus all laws of physics unless magically elevated or impacted will apply to Troy. He must remain in homeostasis to stay in this dimension.

- Troy can be wounded by Anti-Magic like kryptonite to Superman. It will also halt his spells and magics from working.

- Tory can be severely burned and injured just by being in the presence of Nth metal. It can also destroy and break through his magical constructs like they were made of paper.

- Troy's body is young still and cannot produce the insane amounts of magic the Niffin is truly capable of yet.

Mental Weaknesses
- Although the Niffin is a being entirely made of magic, it is not endowed with magic of the various ways magic can be used. Troy is still learning every minute of everyday how to use new and exciting magic spells and enchantments.

- The Niffin's goal in this life is to learn new and exciting magic and thus will abandon all forms of common sense and self-preservation to achieve this end.

-He can be bartered with if something else seems more appealing to him. He can also be distracted and led astray. Since Troy takes nothing seriously he is not very goal oriented.

- If something becomes too hard or circumstances change he has no problem giving up.

Equipment
Spellbook - Troy's spellbook explains how to perform many rituals, make potions, gives a magical history of beings and past sorcerers, warlocks, witches, wizards, realms, creatures - both good and evil - and dimensions but also requires most of the resources to perform said rituals and potions to be collected first. Also, again Troy's current body is unable to perform many of the incantations in this spellbook. It's still a good source of information however so Troy keeps it on his person.

Wand - Since Troy cannot produce huge draining spells with his own power alone as of yet. Sometimes he will channel larger feats and abilities with the use of a pointed object. Apparently certain items can attest to aiding in magical release. However, he rarely attempts this practice.

Personality
Troy has kept much of this human's personality and knowledge from his prior life. The human mage grew up knowing many pop culture references, traditions, and common knowledge of laws and practices of the world. Thus Troy does not act like a typical other worldly being completely under/overwhelmed by the world of man. However the Niffin is curious to learn every single magic there is. It also loves the whimsical nature of certain Earth past times and cultures.

Troy loves life - it teems everywhere in this dimension. He's interested in doing and trying nearly everything he can fathom while he has this magnificent life to live. Thus while aligning with usually selfish chaotic and reckless impulses mainly, Troy also doesn't seem to take too much seriously. This life is a gift. All experiences are worth the effort. Losing, winning, killing, etc. Troy wants to do it all and he will, who's going to stop him? Hopefully someone that has really interesting magic!

History
Niffin's are fairy-tale mythical ascended beings that wizards, witches, and warlocks are warned about as soon as they start learning their craft. At the highest levels of magic one who is particularly gifted in conjuring but not skilled enough to manage the control of the art may accidentally open a portal to the realm of Niffins as they explore ability to transcend dimensions. This has only happened a few times in the history of witchcraft, the study of the dark and mystic arts, and spellcasting due to how remote the dimension of Niffins is in the infinite number of alternate dimensions that exist. Alas when this does occur the magic practitioner is absorbed into that chaotic dimension and driven mad as pure magic engulfs their entire being. They are stripped and ripped apart down to the last molecule by the potent magical energy that exists in every bit of the magic dimension and is then sewn back together as...something else.

This is what happened to a young man named Troi Vashír. He was a gifted student of magic, but reckless. Troi was desperate to peer into his future. He wanted to see if he would one day achieve great things. While precognition and fortune telling was a common mystical art, to dare to look decades into your direct future was nigh unheard of. However Troi was determined to do so. The result of his unwavering determination instead opened his eyes to the realm of pure magic! From there his soul was engulfed and eradicated immediately upon making contact. His body was stripped down, reformed, and eradiated by intense potent magical energies then possessed by a shade. Troi existed no more - lost forever. However Troy the Niffin, had come to the realm of the living, a planet called Earth and it sensed magic everywhere within this dimension. What could it learn? How did these creatures use magic here? What little tricks could he take from them? Oh the fun he could have, the salvation he could bring, the destruction he could wreak, the chaos he could unleash...
