Powers

Altered Physiology (Enhanced Super Soldier Serum):
JaK was given a more futuristic version of Slade's super soldier serum and thus is capable of super-human feats such as enhanced speed, strength, reactions, thinking, healing, and stamina. JaK can realistically perform all feats the most fit and mentally capable human being is able to achieve at the maximum level of training with moderate effort and can surpass that if he is giving his maximum effort. However, JaK can still only achieve what is theoretically possible for an actual human being, not beyond. EX: JaK can run Usain Bolt's fastest time on average and can arguably run as fast as most four legged animals for a brief period in theory if exerting extreme effort, or faster in adulthood. He can also perform gymnastic movements that would take years to master on the fly and create his own maneuvers if he felt forced to do so to survive. JaK can think as fast as the world's best chess player when trying to solve an issue and arguably keep up with a super computer's algorithm if he understood the base concept beforehand. This line of thought can be applied to all things humans are capable of such as holding one's breath, seeing in the dark, etc. Additionally, for strength whatever a human olympic competitor can lift at maximum for barely half a second jak can lift normally and go beyond that with added effort with the same logic applying to punching power and so on.

Sub powers -

Regeneration; JaK cannot be killed by Earthly poisons, diseases, and viruses. These ailments will affect him briefly the same way they would any other human but his physiology will purge such ailments from his system hastily unless he is exposed to continuous exposure. Additionally, JaK will heal from all weathering affects, lacerations, blunt trauma, asphyxiation, and all other threats to his homeostasis if given ample time for his body to recover from such things. As long as the body part in question has not been severed or removed he will heal within 5 to 30 minutes. If the body part is removed and depending on size, it could take up to 2 hours or 2 days for it to regenerate and he must be able to actually live without it. If unable to live without it, like most humans he will need life saving equipment to keep him alive while he regenerates.

Indomitable Will; JaK's pain centers in his nervous system can be overridden by his own resolve. This is a super soldier feature meant to keep soldiers in the fight. When in flight or fight response JaK will continue to move even if his body has sustained debilitating damage. Although, this does not mean he will be given additional strength or advantage in the situation. In essence, if his leg is injured he cannot perform a flip with the injured leg but he can continue to move while ignoring the extreme pain from the injury and think clearly. This also extends to mental fatigue or attack. JaK will resist mind control attempts and pheromones that are trying to alter his thought process. However this is resistance, not immunity, to such attacks. A true master in such abilities will take hold of him mentally.

Sixth Sense; JaK has heightened senses that come with being a super soldier such as expert taste, smell, sight and hearing but can also feel disturbances much like an insect or animal. He can tell when he is being watched. He can sense when someone is angry or in aguish, and can feel fear, as well oncoming air pressure, seismic activity, and auras. However that does not mean he has the speed and reflexes to immediately move faster than these sensations physically.

Fight or Flight (Sage Mode); Like a normal human in extreme fits of rage or fear JaK can push far beyond his physical limits at the cost of possibly destroying his body. Just like a mother trying to save her child has been known to rip car doors from their hinges, JaK when in an extremely emotional state can activate this similar response. By halting his healing factor completely his body redirects all it's focus to enhancing all other physical attributes tenfold for about 8 minutes exactly. While doing this JaK cannot heal from injuries and if anything has a higher chance of busting, breaking, or ripping ligaments and other such parts of his body because he is going far beyond what should be possible for his physical limits. The pay-off however is all of his capabilities are superhuman entirely or  roughly 10x what is normally humanly possible. This is made possible due to the super soldier serum he has received being an enhanced version of Slades. Thus JaK at this time can easily 100 meter dash and keep up with a vehicle, punch through concrete without question, break metal chains, scale the side of a buildings effortlessly, and much much more. The recoil from using this ability however is that afterwards he cannot heal from additional injuries because his healing factor is busy resuming normal automated functions to attempt to restore his homeostasis. Thus for 10 minutes after this mode is deactivated JaK is akin to normal human being.


Infinite Mass Punch (IMP);  Einstein once theorized if humans could use 90% of their brains they would become pure energy. Thanks to the super soldier serum JaK is capable of using around 70% for an instant and in this instant the boy is capable of amassing all of his body's generated energy into his fist and punch  a hole through any solid matter unable to resist 25 tons of force. Also, if the object isn't stationary or bolted down JaK will not punch through it but rather will move the object or slam it into something. The draw back from said ability costs JaK his entire arm. Thanks to JaK's healing factor he can of course regrow this limb but not for over 24 hours or more depending on the severity of the damage and other injuries he has received after or prior. Additionally, using this move cannot be used while in his fight or flight mode as it takes all of his bodies non-vital functions. Thus other than breathing, seeing, and pumping his heart, etc. after the use of this move JaK becomes completely immobile for nearly for 5 minutes and even after 5 minutes JaK can only resume normal body functions such as walking and talking for the next 15 minutes. This means during this period he is unable to fight or heal. The (IMP) cannot be used again until the limb regrows due to the severe damage it causes to Sage's body.

Skills
Expert Thief; Ja K is a honed criminal of necessity. He will steal to survive and is adapt at everything a burglar, pick pocket, and robber is capable of. This includes but isnot limited too lock picking, espionage, sleuthing, lying with enough confidence to fool a lie detector, infiltration, and near impossible escapes from being restrained if humanly possible.

Quick-Witted; Due to his super human serum JaK has a photographic memory heightened enough for him to learn almost anything on either the first, or first few attempts. He can adapt in mere seconds to complex situations and adjust in an instant to new scenarios as well as react accordingly when presented with brand new information and apply it expertly.

Virtuoso; JaK is a good drummer, singer, and dancer. JaK was in the hardcore scene of Gotham's underbelly and enjoyed the occasional rock show/house party.

Abilities
Acrobatics; JaK has learned and achieved a level of gymnastics and free-running that is viable, spectacular, and creative in it's execution. He often will perform tricks and feats just for fun and can pull off these maneuvers easily and without much effort. He is considered a prodigy at the practice of human body movement and can replicate most movements, and stunts after minimal practice as well as create theoretical new moves in a pinch.

Fighting Prowess; JaK is an excellent fighter and is naturally gifted in the arts of combat. His ability to deduce, produce, and react to kinetic force is unrivaled by normal competitors and he is physically capable to performing nearly all postures and stances the human body can muster. He is not masterful however due to his mental lack of patience, eagerness, and determination to learn the art stances of martial arts.


Physical Weaknesses
Human; JaK is a super-human but still human. He needs his heart, lungs, mind, etc. to live and eyes to see, ears to hear, and so on. Without his body in homeostasis he will not be able to function perfectly. He can be killed by having his nervous system removed entirely or his body being out of homeostasis for too long - drowning, crushed, beheaded, continuous bombardment etc.

Limitations; JaK cannot perform feats that are just plain humanly impossible even theoretically. JaK cannot contort into a ball like Samus, fly, breathe underwater, run on air, etc. He can do what is HUMANLY theoretically possible. A perfect example is he could possibly briefly run on water but never walk on it.

IMP Weakness: Once the IMP connects with something even if JaK hits the wrong thing there is no taking it back. He cannot split second stop it and he must commit to the attack and thus his limb will be destroyed.

The IMP is physically draining and cannot be held for longer than a 10 seconds and takes roughly 10 seconds to charge. This attack also requires Sage to take a specific pose to concentrate his mind on gathering the energy required to do so. It cannot be quick drawn and also since it's using all his body, mind, and spirit's capabilities the attack cannot be enhanced by JaK's other superhuman abilities such as enhanced speed, quick reflexes, and strength. It is a normal punch being thrown as far as the movement is concerned.


Mental Weaknesses
Eagerness; JaK can be goaded into a fight or contest rather easily because of his constant need to prove himself. If he doesn't realize he's being trapped or fooled he will definitely attempt what he's being challenged to do.

Choleric temper; While he is adept at many things JaK cannot keep a cool head at all times. He can be frustrated into making mistakes or enticed to argue.

Guilt; JaK's life has been hard and daunting for him. If anyone picks at old mental scars he will be debilitated and possibly break emotionally.

With great Power: JaK's fight or flight mode cannot just be used when he feels like it. JaK can only activate this mode when he is under extreme emotional and/or physical duress. In essence, when he is highly pissed or motivated. If there is no reason for him to do this it cannot be used and therefore this mode is not suitable for a blitz/rush or to surprise attack opponents.

Due to how dangerous the IMP is for himself and others JaK does not use this attack unless he is sure he needs it and it will end the conflict entirely. In essence if it doesn't seem like a super punch can fix everything it will not be utilized. It is a trump card for a life or death situation only! JaK usually must plan the use of this move and thus it rarely, if ever, is used in brawls or fights or at all really. The careful nature in which JaK activates his IMP is more akin to firing a nuclear bomb for JaK and he treats it as if it is a weapon of mass destruction. He avoids employing the IMP at all costs.

(Usually sleeveless, zylon fiber shirt/vest with the Titans logo located above the heart and stretch fit ripped black skinny jeans.) JaK also dons a black leather jacket and insulated kevlar combat boots.

High-Tech Gauntlets;
Wrist-Shooters - JaK can fire paralyzing ion beams in concentrated short bursts or in rapid fire succession. The shooters can overheat however, and thus he can only fire excessively for 4 seconds at a time before allowing the wrist shooters to recharge for 3 seconds. Beyond stunning the opponent these lasers are barely capable of singing flesh.
Titanium Retractable Fingerless Gloves - Acting like a form of brass knuckles the high-density polymerized titanium serves as a flexible fabric capable of blocking iron blades and even dulled steel, as well as being somewhat resilient to extreme temperatures.

Utility Belt; In JaK's utility belt is several compartments which he stores tools and devices to help him maneuver and fight ~
Titans Communicator - Standard Titans mini-super computer and walkie-talkie. It is connected to the Titans mainframe, and satellite. Additionally, it is connected to local Police Department and News Stations for real time access to emergency situations and reports on individuals and crimes. Capable of facial recognition, GPS tracking, and internet connection and long distance calls as well as being fitted with limited access to Titans Artificial Intelligence. This device can be used to issue team alerts look up schematics of Titans Tower(s), access codes, and membership information on heroes and villains, etc.
Tanto/Knife - A standard footlong steel short black blade. JaK keeps the weapon sheathed horizontally on his belt directly behind his lower-back .
Grappling Gun - A hooked line shot that takes an expert eye to utilize but when applied correctly will catch/latch to nearly any surface that is puncturable or with a ledge and/or edge and can be swung from or mechanically retracted to pull objects. The lines are sturdy enough to support objects weighing over 4 ton.
Trackers - Small rings that stick to any solid surface and can be tracked across country unless short circuited or destroyed or the signal is blocked.
Collapsible Bo Staff - An extendable tritanium alloy pole that can fit in the palm of one's hand then instantly expand 4 feet for melee combat.
Smoke Pellets - Tiny metal marble sized balls that release a delayed reaction smoke screen when thrown onto any surface that covers a 20 foot area.
Lockpick Kit & Detective Tools - Standard for any investigative work - vials, baggies, picks, handcuffs, etc.

Personality

JaK is a hot-headed, cool guy on the outside; his personality seems shallow and easy to grasp if you're just meeting him but upon getting know him you would find an intelligent and moral guided human being. JaK pretends to not care because in Gotham's seedy streets that was the best way to survive. JaK loves a challenge more than anyone else and hates losing just as much. He will avidly risk his well-being, logic, and reason to do what he believes is the right thing and longs for a purpose to guide him through life. He is tormented constantly by his past and wishes to understand why his childhood was so grim or why he is the way he is physically.

JaK loves to drum, dance, workout, play sports and do all things he sees other teens his age partake in. Although, he also believes he lives in a different more serve world full of consequences and destruction. Therefore, JaK pushes people away as not to involve him in the darkness that proverbially follows his life. He is a good leader when it comes to executing plans and schemes of maneuver.

History
The tale of JaK Sage begins at the age of four. His father was a prize winning scientist at Wayne Tech Industries. In addition to being it's leading scientist on the super soldier serum. The serum's origins began with Super-Villain Deathstroke many years prior, and was abandoned after Slade Wilson became the twisted Villain who tormented society and the Titans/Justice League for years. However in recent research it was discovered the healing factor introduced in the serum could be retrofitted and strengthened into a vaccine to ward off multiple ailments such as the common cold, influenza, and other types of deadly diseases permanently. A world without sickness was on the rise.

But of course when it was discovered by Gotham's crime heads that Wayne Tech was about to change human history of medicine many of the crime bosses came together to put a stop to it, or rather take it for themselves. When JaK's father found out his lab had been destroyed in the search of his work he took the only viable prototypes of the serum, that he had on his person and injected it into his two children - both were incomplete and untested. One dose was sure to drive it's host mad, but luckily JaK's dose seemed to have no immediate adverse effects other than change his eye pigment to yellow and his skin far more pale white than what was usual.

Almost immediately after administering the doses to his children JaK's father found Gotham's crime syndicate at his doorstep. In response JaK's father sent his wife with the boys through an old secret underground cellar. Upon reaching the exit, JaK's mother looked back at their home and watched as it burned to the ground.

For years after the incident JaK's mother raised him and his brother modestly on the streets. Constantly in hiding, and too afraid to touch the family fortune, or reveal who she was due to risk of her now "special" boys being discovered.

This continued until one day JaK came back and found his mother dead and his brother covered in her blood. There were bodies of mobsters littered and charred all around the scene. His brother was physically fine however and explained that he found his mother like this and killed the mobsters in a fit of rage. JaK and his brother soon discovered that they both had exceptional strength, healing, and other abilities. The boys did not know why they were so different due to their mother never making them aware of what happened in their tragic history with their father and Gotham's crime lords.

Following their mother's death JaK and his sibling continued to fend for themselves as they always had until one day, while stealing food, they were found by one of the Gotham head crime families. A coupe to capture the children ensued but their abilities aided in their escape. The brother's were separated but JaK is now hot on the trail of his brother David, who he hears has taken refuge in Jump City.

The greyhound bus stopped just at the edge of Jump City, city limits. JaK hopped off and rustled through his weathered and patched backpack for his last rations of food and water. "Empty?" Oh yes, JaK had been robbed by the rider next to him at the last stop. Which wouldn't sting so bad, if he hadn't also given that same rider half his food rations upon request just before falling asleep next to him. "Whelp, that's what you get for being a hero."

The situation was bleak. JaK was on the run, had no food or water, and was in a strange city. "Guess I'll go hunting." JaK's goldenrod eyes shimmered in the moonlight as he began to trek his way into the city. He had wanted to start this new venture with as little trouble as possible but trouble and fortune often fought over JaK's affection.
