Powers

• Pyrokinesis: Where Inferno gets his codename from, the ability to create, control and manipulate fire. Inferno can generate flames ranging up to melting iron or steel; typically done by punching or kicking ala firebender. But in general, he can generate fire from any point of his body that is exposed, up to 25ft from that point. He CAN intensify the temperature of fire, but this taxes him less than creating flames out of nothing. More interestingly, Inferno can also 'fly' using the flames to propel him at the speed of your typical car- or physically deck someone with the force.
  
  
  
  • Pyronaut: Through his fiery affinity, Inferno's body seems to passively absorb heat and bolsters his physical abilities in a similar but lesser extent to the likes of Superman. This makes him very durable in a brawl against regular people under normal circumstances. When he becomes exposed to sources of greater heat however, this boost goes up appropriately to the source. Being set on fire will generally grant him up to 5 tons of strength and durability, going up when exposed to even greater heat sources. It goes without saying that this makes Inferno immune to fire or heat damage.
    
    
  • Flame Negation: Similar to his becoming stronger when exposed to fire, and one he learned how to use more later to quickly extinguish fires- very handy in his line of work. So long as he is aware of a fire's location, he can simply mentally put them out; can also prevent new ones from forming, preventing ballistic weapons from firing from up to 100ft away from him.
    
    
  • Fire Sense: Inferno has a kind of 6th sense that allows him to feel temperatures of differing degrees all around him- generally only relevant in rare occasions where someone is invisible. Also allows him to know when the pressure of a room with a fire in it will cause an explosion when he breaks down a door.

• Burn Out: While less a unique physical weakness rather than a notation, Inferno's pyrokinesis unironically causes burn out. If he generates fire too much, he'll become more lethargic and tired out.
  
  
• Oxygen Required: While he can just extinguish flames, because he has to rely on fire to bolster his physical abilities, Inferno has to find a balance between being on fire in a confined space vs being able to breathe.
  
  
• Cold: Because he is empowered by heat and fire, being exposed to cold temperatures for long periods of time leave him very vulnerable to injury.
  
  
• Extinguishing: Naturally, when he's on fire, put the fire out and his physical abilities will return back to normal- and it's harder to set fire to something wet.
  
  
• Cover your shame: Inferno can only create fire from his body- if he is completely covered, he can't create fire.

• Womanizer: Inferno is an avid appreciater of the female form, and is more inclined to become distracted around an attractive woman. He's also more liable to side with or believe one.
  
  
• Hot-headed: As per his element and hair color, Inferno has a very destructive temper- and he can be quite petty.
  
  
• Adrenaline Junkie: Inferno LOVES danger, and his line of work does offer him that. However, sometimes he gets the itch to do some superheroing- fighting always gets the blood pumping.
  
  
• Problems with authority: Inferno has always had a problem with people telling him what to do- more so if he views them as inferior to him in everywhere.

Personality
Inferno can be best described as an unruly, selfish, and arrogant anarchist that follows the law of "might is right." He has mellowed out alittle bit since his teenaged days, becoming slightly more sullen as a result. But all it takes is a spark to get him going again. Inferno's a passionate man that doesn't do his job purely because it helps people, but for the thrill of it. He also may do it because some woman love a fireman. Inferno is on the surface kind of standoffish, has problems with authority, and will basically flirt with anything with a pulse. While rough around the edges, and difficult to stand the company of for long periods of time, Inferno is very loyal to the few who can stand being around him. If he likes you enough, he may even buy you a drink!

History
Inferno was born and for a time "raised" by a father that treated him very poorly, his mother passing away shortly after he was born. Because of this, Inferno soon developed an ingrained distrust for authority figures. It was then considered quite fortunate, miraculous even, that he was the sole survivor of a terrible fire that burned his home down- killing his father. Some wrote it off as being an electrical fire, and at the time Inferno wasn't fully aware that his powers as a metahuman had started to manifest. Since then he bounced around foster homes, thankfully with less super destructive fires but with emboldened rebelliousness.

It was after his powers manifested a second time, now in full force that it was plain to see what he was. The second time was more intentional, and only resulted in the destruction of a car belonging to a principle he hated. Soon after that he ran away and struck out on his own for awhile, eventually ending up with The Sunset Skulls, a local gang. He had a good thing running at first, but even then it was not meant to be as his gang was eventually disassembled by a combination of law enforcement, rival gangs, and in-fighting. Inferno once again found himself in prison, and had a very hard life ahead of himself.

After some time passed and some persuasion, Inferno got out and decided to try putting his powers to better use as a firefighter ironically. It was actually a pretty sweet gig once he finally got it, and he quickly discovered the perks with the ladies when he told them he was a fireman. Some would wonder why he didn't try becoming another superhero like the teen titans back in the day- simply put, that didn't pay him enough. However... he would not be one to shy away from a super villain causing fires for him to put out~
