Welcome Home (Kardus,Mega)

Taz trundled sleepily towards the apartment door, his overnight pack swinging slightly in his grasp. While Ally and Rose had been getting to know eachother, the young halfling had been having a very fun sleepover with some friends. Granted, they had all stayed up a little too late playing games, but that was the point of the whole thing! Well, that's what one of his friends assured him, at least. He gave a small, delighted grin on remembering all the fun he'd had, and opened the door. Walking inside, Taz closed it behind him. The boy kicked off his shoes before padding further into the apartment, whistling a game's theme tune under his breath. He called out, though softly just in case Ally was still asleep, "I'm home."

Which she wasn't, but she didn't want to get up right away either. She was more half asleep and enjoying snuggling with Rose up until her routine started kicking in, and teasing her with hunger. "Mmm, five more minutes stomach," Ally purred sleepily to no one in particular, giving Rose an affectionate squeeze before she heard movement in the living room. Then she heard Taz's voice and smiled, trying to subtly sneak out of bed so as not to disturb Rose if she still wanted to sleep. Ally quickly found some shorts and a baggy shirt to change into before emerging from her room, hair more wild and messy than usual as she stretched. "Morning Taz! Did you have fun?" Ally asked curiously, imemdiately heading into the kitchen; stomach growling encouragement.

What were the going to have? Why bacon and eggs of course! With some... actually maybe an omelette would be better. Her stomache growled with indifference, simply wanting to be fed. "Oh! Taz! There's someone I'd like you to meet that'll be staying with us too, when she gets up," Ally almost forgot, completely absorbed in her quest for food. Omelette it was! Did Rose like spicy things? Maybe a little heat would be fine. "You eaten yet sweety?" Ally asked poking her head out of the fridge curiously.

As Ally appeared, Taz grinned and answered her question with a happy nod. "Mmhmm! Good morning!" As she headed into the kitchen, the young halfling would follow her, feeling a little hungry himself. As she spoke up about someone she wanted him to meet, Taz tilted his head with a curious, chirping hum. Someone new? He was distracted from his curiosity when his guardian asked if he had eaten anything yet. Blinking, Taz gave a slightly sheepish headshake no. They'd all wound up sleeping in a little too late to think about that.

Hearing the sound of footsteps, he glanced up at the person who must be the new roommate. Seeing Rose, Taz perked up and tilted his head. She had horns! Was she was like Ally? As she gave a nice seeming smile and a wave in greeting, Taz would respond in kind, giving a shy smile and small wave back in greeting.

Ally was getting things together to start making breakfast, making a mental note that they were probably going to make a food run in the next day or so. She got all the tasty things together and set them on the counter when Rose emerged from the room. "Rosie!" Ally giggled, skipping over and picking her up in a hug, using that as an excuse to pick her up and bring her over. "This is Taz, and this is Rose. She can't speak normally, but I wouldn't call her a mute~" Ally giggled again at what she was referring to. "Anyway, omelettes it is!" Ally announce heading back in to start the prep, it'd also give them both a chance to 'communicate' if they wanted. "Don't mind Taz, he's kinda shy around new people," Ally said off handedly as she got a couple skillets, started to chop up some bacon for one, and started cracking some eggs in the other one.

As Ally got things together for breakfast, Taz put his overnight bag on the a nearby chair and stood out of the way nearby. He'd be happy to help if she decided she wanted it, but at the moment the young hafling didn't want to get underneath her feet. As she scooped their new roommate up into a hug and brought her forward with the pair giggling, Taz gave his own light laugh,smiling slightly. They already seemed like good friends. After Rose and he had greeted, Ally introduced them to each other. He tilted his head and gave a curious, chirping hum, only to perk up excitedly as his guardian mentioned making omelettes for breakfast. Oooh, yes! That definatelysounded like a good breakfast.

Ducking his head slightly, and shyly, as Ally made her remarked, Taz helped prove her point. As Rose yawned before going over to track down coffee, he blinked. She didn't know how to make coffee?  He bit his lip nervously, considering. Taz was still a little uncertain about approaching someone new, but Ally had spoken up for her. They did seem like friends, and Ally wouldn't be friends with anyone bad. Besides, Rose []did[/i] seem nice, even without that. After a few seconds of thought, Taz nodded and then walked over to Rose. Reaching up to tug on her sleeve and get her attention, he gave a small smile before showing her how to use the coffee maker.

Ally watched for a moment over her shoulder as Rose went about trying to unlock the secret to brewing coffee, only for Taz to volunteer to help. She smiled and went back to cooking; omelettes required attention. It did just dawn on her that she should've maybe brought up the topic of Rose staying with them up with him. She had acted impulsively, and just wanted to assume Taz would automatically be fine with it. But seeing him go help her make some coffee, that concern faded away. She did wonder how they'd get along, given that Rose didn't verbally speak normally, and Taz was very shy around new people- Rose being cute probably didn't help matters but that last one was an idle thought. The first omelette was done, for whoever wanted it; and Ally would start on the next one. Yup, a food run was gonna be needed later.

Taz noticed the face Rose made after sniffing the coffee grounds,, and couldn't help but give a small, amused grin. The boy covered it with his hand,and got her attention with the other one. Accepting the grounds container with a small nod, he also snagged a nearby stool, using it to bring himself level with the coffee maker.

After preparing the coffee and showing her how to do so in the bargain, he hopped off of the stool and did a small, playful 'tada' gesture at the brewer as it worked it's magic. He might have been slightly embarrassed over having to teach such a simple process, if it weren't for the fact he had been in a similar shape recently, (and honestly, still kinda was.) As it was, he was just glad he could help out. Blinking as she went to the fridge, he tilted his head with a curious hum, only for his eyes to widen. Oooooh! That was right, coffee was bitter without some sweetness to it. With that in mind, Taz trotted over, peeking around her, then pointed to a few containers of creamer in one of the door shelves, softly speaking up. "There, Miss Rose."

Ally would continue to cook, occsionally glancing over to see how well the two of them got along before finishing up most of breakfast. The omelettes were done at least but she also made some toast."And breakfast is basically done. Could one of you sweeties get the strawberry jam while you're in there?" Ally asked sweetly, referring to one of the jars of jelly in there. There was also a grape jelly in there, but she had asked for the strawberry one. She didn't expect them all to want the same kind and was just going to use strawberry for her toast.

As Ally announced that breakfast was pretty much ready, Taz perked up, sniffing the air with a happy smile. It smelled so good! As Rose thanked him for helping by bending down and pecking him on the head, the boy blinked before ducking his head slightly and giving a small, hesitant smile back up at her. Despite his shyness and timidness, he did seem to be relaxing, if gradually, around her, and it certainly helped that she was gentle and nice.

As Rose snagged the strawberry jelly for Ally, Taz would snag the grape and have it ready for himself, and Rose as well if she decided she'd like it for her toast. He would then get a glass of Orange Juice and close the fridge before putting the grape jelly and his cup onto the table, happily humming the same tune he'd been humming earlier under his breath.

Ally would give Rose a quick "good morning" kiss when she gave her the jam, adding it to her toast before heading over to the table to enjoy her plate of foods. So far so good, this was going about as well as she originally thought- which is saying a lot already. She wondered if she should also mention that they were... going to go out and stuff. That wasn't the right wording. That they were girlfriends was probably the more appropriate way of describing it. "So Taz, sweetie- me and Rose are girlfriends. Kind of like those other people you may have seen me with- except she'll be living with us," Ally started to explain simply, not referring to him seeing her "with" other people. It was as simple as them dropping her off, or stopping over for a few minutes before leaving. She knew after first inviting Taz to live with her, that she'd have to make changes to her life style and that habit of hers was the first one to change.
