Description
Slymon as his codename MAY imply, is 99.9% made of purple goo. The only part of his physical body that isn't, is the usually baseball sized ruby-like gem floating about in his chest cavity. Because of how malleable his body is, Slymon isn't restricted from any physical appearance. He can in theory make himself LOOK like anyone he wants, but his body will still be made of purple goo. Slymon's eyes are red with with black sclera.

While he is capable of mimicking the appearance or shape of whatever he wants within reason, his "preferred" form typically has at least one head tentacle, several at most. In addition, his overall body build is lean and lithe; almost elven in appearance, Infact, his "ears" are actually pointed! Wears a black coat that roughly resembles a raincoat in modern days, and a matching "wizard hat." He did not choose the design of the hat...

Main Power Origins: Supernatural/Magic

Powers

  • Amorphous Physiology: Slymon as has been stated, is a humanoid slime-like man. His body is primarily made of purple amorphous goo, with a baseball sized red ruby crystal core floating around in his chest cavity. His core naturally houses his mind and spirit, containing the culmination of his being. Because of this, his body has numerous unique abilities associated with his form. Shapeshifting being one of the more obvious ones, Slymon is able to control his body to adopt whatever shape or appearance he desires; adding or subtracting certain features- like arms or eyes!

    The only other special thing to note is that his core can withstand up to 20 tons of force.

    • Mana Sponge: Because of his ingestion of various chemicals and substances, combined with his magical background, Slymon's body will on contact slowly sap the magical reserves of anyone phsyically touching him; much like the life drain of suc/incubi. In addition, his body processes magic more efficiently than other people, making spells he casts cost less, or spells cast on him give back some of the energy used to create the spell. Additionally, his core has a limited built in "sensor" for sources of magic, acting as a compass to help lead him to one if it draws close enough to detect.


    Magic Spells
  • Hydromancy: One of Slymon's trademark spells due to his natural affinity for liquids, allowing him to summon water from the nearby area. Slymon can through his ability to control additional limbs, cast multiple instances of this spell; creating enough water to fill a kiddie pool per casting. Before being able to gather and hurl any available water within 50ft of him. The force that he can hurl this water is mostly dependent on how much water he actually gathers up and can carry/knock people backwards. ((4 post cooldown))

  • Spark: A spell which releases an electrical "jolt" up to 50ft through the air around Slymon, physically felt as as a minor "jolt" through the body- worse than a static shock but less than a tazer. But the spell's other function is to ignite combustable materials; provided they're dry enough. ((4 post cooldown))

  • Heat Blaster: A spell which while casting, causes the air immediately around Slymon to become heated to the point of creating fire. Slymon then takes this fire and sends baseball-sized, concussive fireballs at a target. The fireballs hit and explode with half the force of a grenade, and can easily burn flesh. Can launch as many projectiles as he has "hands.((5 post cooldown))

  • Pitfall: An earth based spell which creates a temporary sinkhole at a location on the ground of his choosing. The hole is 10ft wide, and 10ft deep. There will be a glowing, circled pentacle at the location the hole will form, vanishing and creating the hole afterwards for a short duration. Anyone trapped in the hole when it ends will magically appear back on the surface. ((1 turn duration, 6 post cooldown))

  • Telekinesis: A spell that lets Slymon mentally move a great number of small, hand held objects- purely a utility spell for his convenience. Does not work on objects which are moving too quickly- so not bullets, arrows or such.

  • Disguise Form: A more practical form of an illusion spell of similar name, except working to trick the sense of touch as well as sight. It basically creates a temporary "skin suit" for Slymon to blend in. But it can also be used to change his clothing, much like the illusion version of the spell. If Slymon is hit too hard, the spell breaks instantly but otherwise will fade after an extended period of time, unless cast again. ((6 post cooldown))

  • Adaptive Temperature: Either cold or heat is chosen while casting. Once cast, a target of Slymon's choosing (or himself) becomes highly resistant to either extreme cold or heat, enabling them to easily exist in temperatures of one or the other; but not both. In the case of Slymon himself, it increaes the duration that it takes until his body starts to dehydrate or freeze.

  • Gate: A "portal" spell which can be used to simply move vast distances- even through different planes of existence. But can also be used to create a set of portals to redirect some attacks as he needs to; mostly ranged attacks. ((6 post cooldown))

  • Withering Bolt: A spell which as the name implies, casts a "bolt" of negative energy which saps the physical strength of its victims. Can cast a bolt per hand, and is able to fully reduce a super strong individual into a feeble elderly person- at its absolute MAX. ((1 turn duration, 6 post cooldown))

  • Arcane Missles: One of Slymon's more powerful spells, which creates a series of glowing, circled pentacles at his back. The pentacles will begin releasing a barrage of energy projectiles capable of denting a car door on impact. ((6 post cooldown))

  • Flash Freeze: The polar opposite cousin of Heat Blaster, causing the area directly infront of Slymon to freeze after a couple of seconds. This is indicated by a glowing, circled pentacle on the ground. If a person were to be standing over this pentacle at the time the spell goes off, they will at most be fully encased, or partially encased. Can create multiple instances of the spell by using more hands. ((6 post cooldown))

  • Crashing Heaven: A spell that appears from above via another glowing, circled pentacle covering a 20ft area. After a couple of seconds, an eerie blue light will shine down, doubling the pull of gravity on all those caught in the spell's glow. ((1 turn duration, 6 post cooldown))

  • Shapeshifting: Because of the control over his body, Slymon is capable of altering his shape and size depending on his available mass. He can make his body LOOK like anyone, or mimic the shape of everyday objects- with the exception of his core which remains the same.

  • Absorb: Also known as "digestion," Slymon's body must envelope things to break them down and get nourishment and mass from it. The more organic and edible something is, the more mass and nourishment he gains from it with water offering him very little in the way of either despite being made of goo.

  • Slime Alchemy: The opposite of absorb, where Slymon can convert mass into different liquid or gas-like substances. His body already excretes a coating of slime which enables him to move comfortably. But he can also excrete adhesives, irritants, and similar substances.

  • Density: Can control the density of his body, becoming more liquid and translucent, or more dense and "octopus-like."

    Physical Weaknesses
  • Physically Weak: Besides the obvious lack of muscle, Slymon's gooey body is not built to withstand damage. Bladed weapons will easily pass through him, as will anything that has enough force. Which even normal people can pierce through his body with the right tools. As aforementioned, Slymon lacks the muscle to physically lift much of his own. While not incapable, he is still weaker than that of a normal person physically.

  • Extreme temperatures: Slymon as only a slightly higher tolerance to heat or cold, and neither is good for his body which will either dry up or become frozen solid.

  • Core: Not everyone has a big red button to hit for massive damage. Slymon's core however, is such a thing. While it takes a lot of force to even damage it, just the simple act of even hitting it is enough to create great discomfort and stimulation that throws him off his game for a moment. Also, it IS physically possible to end a fight even earlier by somehow separating his core from his body- having a small window of opportunity to try and get back to it before his body simply collapses without his core.

    Additionally, the core will expand and grow larger the more "potential mass" it stores, making it that much larger of a target.

  • Anti-magic/Nth Metal: Slymon can cast spells, this is real easy to understand.

  • Vibrations: Strong, constant vibrations cause Slymon's body to convulse against his wishes.

  • Electricity: While he can stand it while casting Bio-Shock, it is no surprise that electricity likewise affects him badly. While not as crippling as with vibrations, electricity will dehydrate his body more quickly as it courses through it.

    Mental Weaknesses
  • Thunderstorm: Even before being cursed into a slime-like creature, he has always strongly hated thunderstorms; rain is acceptable. But just the sudden loud noises, and the flashes of lightning really make it difficult to focus.

  • Proud: Also considered arrogance, Slymon is quick to belittle others and views himself as superior- lending in some judgement calls on his behalf.

  • Drinking problem: Cliche as it sounds for a prominent alchemist to have a drinking problem, Slymon does enjoy a good hard drink.

  • Outcast: Slymon has grown accustomed to being reviled and feared for his form, and for now has learned to not get attached to anyone. His pride has worsened this behavior over time.

Personality
Slymon is a hedonistic man, who is always looking to either satisfy one of his carnal desires or his curiosity. Knowledge is power, and he has learned so much about how things in his world works. He is obsessed with unravelling the secrets of the universe, discovering new ways to apply what he learns. But he usually sees people around him more as "things" for him to play with and experiment on.

There is no such thing as "forbidden" knowledge, that's simply a word people use to tempt scholars like himself. He's not an "evil" man persay, and typically only experiments on those unlucky few who have found himselves at his mercy- by trying to wrong him first. He will otherwise keep to himself, and focus on his scientific pursuits rather than go out of his way to cause problems for those around him.

Place of Origin: Another World

History
Being from another world, much of what is written here will be virtually impossible for anyone to know.What can be inferred however is that based on his affinity to the arcane, that Slymon was at one time a spellcaster of some notable power. Even back in his world, not much is known of Slymon's early life apart from a reoccurring story about a man wandering across the land. Without any hard evidence to disprove this, one of his known titles is the hermit sage.

Slymon was better known for his participation in his world's "Mana War." He held some dominion and influence over a large forested and swamp area. Involving a number of other wizards vying for dominion of the future of their lands, Slymon tried to stay out of most of the pointless fighting. But he couldn't remain a passive observer, and was eventually dragged into the conflict where he lost his life as so many other spellcasters.

It was when he arrived in the underworld, that he recieved his curse- one of the demon lords thinking it would be funny to turn him into something that he had worked with extensively and used for his alchemy. In essence, Slymon was now also a living alchemical station that was definitely exploited for this gift. But it would later be this lord's folly, overestimating their ability to keep Slymon in line and being unaware of his innate ability to absorb mana from his surroundings.

When he was able, Slymon tried to escape back to the surface world. By this time, a new war was spreading across the world involving science and technology. It was an amazing opportunity for him and he wasn't going to miss it. But instead of being able to get back to the mortal world, he instead a man named Fasilli. He was a weird masked man that spouted off fanciful words and talked about another world he had been to recently. Pressed for time- the spurned lord's forces in pursuit of Slymon, he decided to simply take him to this other world.

The things he had heard about their world changing, had nothing on this one. Buildings made of stone and glass that scraped the sky, machines of war that brought fire and death. But possibly more intriguing was that it was inhabited by "super powered" beings that ranged from protecting other people, or using their gifts for their own selfish desires. There was so much for Slymon to study and learn! He didn't know where to start! But unfortunately, he didn't get much of a choice after that- as his "generous" host got bored and quickly abandoned him with nothing but a rain coat and a wizard hat.  Slymon embarks on a now quest to unravel this world's secrets...
