Nidus and his translator stood still as they listened to Kuro's response, and stood still and quiet even longer after he had finished. They didn't seem to be coming up with a response too quickly, but they weren't making another move either.  He was probably thinking on it.  

//We are not capable of trusting them entirely.  We do not know them.  We do not know their plans.  Deception is possible from them.  Their proposal is desirable but we cannot be sure they will act on it.  They are asking us to put ourselves in the most vulnerable position possible, a civilization that is plagued by irrationality and hostility.  They have potential but are unrefined and inefficient.  Optimal response unclear.  Evaluating additional input from the link.  What is your understanding?

Nidus turned his head to face his translator, and the human seemed to change his expression to confusion.  The man gradually did a double take as he turned to look back at Nidus, and the two stared at each other.  Something made the man take a questioning look and after a minute or so he started looking forward again, this time staring at nothing in particular as he continued a puzzled expression.  

\\He means me?  That would be me wouldn't it?  Yes....it seems it is.  What do I think?  Well...you're not wrong.
He could be lying, and that wouldn't be good.  You could all be killed, or exploited or something.  They're probably telling the truth, but I don't know what they're going to do when you get to containment and it is pretty risky to have all of you together like that.
But all out war isn't a good option either.
//No, that would end poorly for everyone.  Compromising and negotiation is required.  Formulating a safe medium.

Finally, after a lot of silence, Nidus and the translator turned their heads back to Kuro.  "Our terms are this.  You may have one of us to evaluate, and we shall be patient in waiting for your complete assessment and response.  We will not be contained.  We are hungry after years of drifting the void, and will not deny our kin the food that now sits before a starving people.  We will scavenge what we need to survive without threatening your existence.  We will continue to do what we have been doing from the start: exactly what we must do to ensure our survival, and no more.  We came to live; to create life from a dead world.  We did not anticipate that life would already be present, and have no wish to threaten it.  Hostility will be kept to a minimal and avoided in most instances.  We have been patient.  We will continue to be patient."

Kuro listened to them talk about their terms. He shook his head. "Negative. Your terms are something that we cannot agree with. You are to be contained not only for our public's safety, but for yours. While you are outside we cannot ensure that other governments for other forces will not harm or kill you. We are one of many nations on this planet and our offer is the kindest that you will receive." He stepped forward one pace, and continued. "One of you will be researched. There will be nothing invasive without your consent. We will do our best to help you survive. But if you do not agree, then there will be no survival for your kind."

Kuro thought for a moment. "Tell us what you need to survive, and we will procure it for you."

Nidus stared at his attacker dead on for several seconds, not responding to the retort at first.  Eventually, his translator looked back at him on his own, and the two stared at each other for a while longer.  The man seemed to hold his arms out to his sides, as if to say 'now what?' to the alien, as they stared at each other a little longer.

Eventually they looked back to Kuro and the translator finally agreed.  "Very well.  Every unit that is still capable of voluntary locomotion will come to a place of your choosing within a reasonably allotted time frame.  Take me where you want us to go and the rest will follow me as soon as they are able to.  But of these updated terms I still demand one thing."

Nidus raised his hand to point to the man still infected, the man who spoke for him.

"This one remains as it is.  There must remain a channel for open communication and I will not have it severed.  It will remain preserved as close to the original state as much as possible"

The man raised his hand, speaking with a more natural tone.

"And if it makes you feel any better, I'm okay with this.  It's probably for the better. I agree that being able to talk to this thing is a good idea to keep intact."

It seems they had consent, provided that the man was not being forced to speak in this manner.  They waited to see Kuro's next response.

Kuro watched Nidus and his human puppet in a moment of silence and contemplation, thinking over the terms. "That should be acceptable," he said, nodding briefly. "In fact, knowing Waller...she wouldn't have it any other way." Kuro sheathed his blade, and would use his comms link to organize the rest of the men. Not too long after, a reinforced truck would arrive with plenty of breathing room inside. Kuro would gesture Nidus towards it, so that he and his translator may sit in it.

Kuro would follow the armored truck to a DOMA facility in a helicopter ride, Tesla likely flying herself. It was going to be somewhat of a challenge finding a way for the creature to peacefully inhabit with the human race, Kuro thought, but such problems were beyond his realms of expertise. A threat had been dealt with, and countless lives saved. These parameters were acceptable.
