Post apocalyptic thingy (Actual Rp)

GM grinned down at the kids and their many but similar questions, the being chuckled before answering "Well, this is the END!! Or the END of the apocalypse, this is what the aftermath of horrible war and massive deforestation looks like, pretty neat huh?" Game Master said as he looked around the barren land, admiring it. After his moment of silence, the GM began to answer a second question  "You're here to not die, or die if you suck at surviving, surviving is pretty easy if you use your abilities and make smart decisions, but then again, it wouldn't be much fun if you guys knew how to survive off the bat, it's more entertaining to see you guys kill each other while figuring things out, hehe", when GM was about to answer the last question, and evil smile spread across his face "How do you get out? Well it's simple. You die." He said, the being then filled the air with his hysterical laughter "You're my playthings now, there in no 'going home'!!".

Tachi growled at the crimson man "You're a sicko, you're a big flumpty whumpus woo!!" She called out in disgust.

Ciara listened to the horrible figure in the sky talk about the end and death and surviving and whatever. Her eyes went wide and she looked around, not seeing anyone else around. What was he talking about?? There were other people here? This wasn't a dream?? If there were other people here, were they going to be friendly or dangerous? There was no way to know, was there. Her eyes filled with tears and she suddenly wished that her big brother was here, but that would be a long shot. Like, one out of a hundred chances. Or more. Whatever.

The girl needed to figure out her next move. Obviously, the most beneficial thing would be to secure shelter and water. Time to learn from all of the post apocalyptic movies and tv shows that she'd watched. She bit her lip and started to walk into the city, wondering where she should go. Ciara just tried to breathe, gulping and coughing again. Dang, it was hot and dry. Why was it so hot and dry!? So, that's what she needed most of all. To find a convenient store.

It took her a few minutes of stumbling around, but she finally found one. The girl took the nearest rock and threw it through the window, squeaking as it shattered. She quickly climbed in, wincing as she accidentally cut herself on glass. They made that look way easier in the movies. Once inside, she started to look around for food and water, and made sure to keep her bow at the ready... Just in case.

[I'm not in the state of mind for specific details, so if all the questions had been asked just ignore what Chessa asks here]

The siblings joined Lance and the others, emerging from the building right before the big red guy started talking and being a general buzz kill. So to summarize, this was a glorified Hunger Games. Daniel was naturally worried and terrified. They could only get free if they... died? Besides the natural feeling of self-preservation, he didn't want anyone around him to die if he could manage. "So what happens IF there's only one of us left?" Chessa called up to Big Red.

It was then the sound of glass breaking nearby, prompting Chessa to wander off in it's direction. Daniel gave her a panicked look but she signed she'd be right back. After all that, Daniel didn't want to be left alone with a bunch of strangers. Especially since one of them was clearly armed!

Chessa arrived at where she thought she heard the sound, hearing some noise from a local convenience store. She didn't know who else might have heard the glass breaking, Red's Q&A would have been more then enough to put anyone on edge. So was she so calm and rational still? Because she and Daniel were still alive. Their dad always said that as long as they were breathing, there was always a solution no matter how abstract it was. For now, she would go under the assumption that this was someone looking to get some water for the heat. She had actually tied her hoodie around her waist by this point it was so hot- she hated not wearing her hoodie. "Helloooo?" Chessa called into the store, being more careful about avoiding the broken glass then Ciara. "I'm inside now, don't freak out. I'm just thirsty like you. Is there anything cold where you are?" Chessa continued, not venturing further in until she had a better idea of whoever was in here wasn't already out of their mind... or a psychopath.

She didn't see anyone immediately but that didn't mean they weren't there. Chessa made sure to keep an eye over her shoulder too. Didn't want someone who meant harm to sneak up on her either.


Meanwhile, Daniel was still with the others. "H-hello! I'm Daniel," he introduced himself nervously.

"my name is Mackenzie Ross. " mackenzie says as she starts to shake out of fear she can smell danger in the air and feel something bad coming their way. "w-we need to leave this spot find some shelter to hide cuz there is something bad is coming." she says shaking badly and starts to cry softly.

Alastair blinks, eyes wide in shock. A-after the end?! No way....As GM goes on, the boy glances around, nervously stepping away from Koda and the others, though he gives a wave at Daniel, blinking at the crying girl and stepping close enough to give her a reassuring pat, stepping away again.At Lance's question, Alastair bites his lip, nervous about answering, but decides to. He had to help...The boy speaks up softly, shaking slightly."W-we need a safe place...e-easy to defend, a-and supplies....food, w-water, h-heat, e-either blankets o-or h-heat sources....uhm....both, p-perferably....A-also m-medical supplies...." He wondered what the guy meant by abilities...

Edge blinks, tilting his head at the news......then begins to cackle and laugh madly, wildly, the sounds ringing out from his location and echoing."HAHAHAHAHA!!! OH, HOW FUN!!!!!! IM LOOKING TO IT!!! HAHAHAHA!!!" Calming down, the nutter shrugs, heading out....He comes across a store, with a girl speaking inside of it. Ooooooh.....he unsheaths his knives, hiding in the shadows for now.

"A flumpty whumpus woo...?" Nergui sweat-dropped. She didn't like the look of this company much. They had a crier and a stutterer. Liabilities. She didn't want to be on her own but she also didn't want to be giving away good rations to useless people. It felt like a dream. But she knew she couldn't waste any time hoping such a thing. Survive first, figure out the rest later. You couldn't stab this cosmic jerk back if you were dead.

The Mongol removed a layer of furs and mopped her brow for the first time. She wasn't properly attired for this climate. Sure some of the surrounding land had a touch of steep, and she was no stranger to desert, but back home altitude had alleviated the heat of the day. Here she was cooking like yak's butter.

She contributed to the suddenly open discussion about survival, "That's all what. You haven't answered how. Take my advice. Get out of the city. Whatever water there is to have here will be heavily contaminated by now." If not as a result of whatever disaster befell civilisation, then certainly due to the corrosion of materials in the years since. Cities needed constant maintenance. This one would probably crumble around them. So yes, she didn't trust the water, "If you stay here you'll die of thirst or dysentery."

She turned to address the Game Master, "Whatever you are, know this; I hold no grudge. But if it is entertainment you are after you will find my lifestyle exceedingly dull. Maybe then you will send me home." And with that Nergui made to depart. First grab the axe, then raid for supplies. Her immediate thought was not to join the group. Any that were worth travelling with would probably insist on protecting the others. Best if she focused on herself.

GM was grinning from ear to ear at all the "contestants'" reactions, some were of anger, some were of shock, some were of fear, Game Master didn't bother to really respond to things after the three questions, however, the leader like girl had to act all calm and collected, boring, GM thought for a bit before grinning again, that girl would probably let the weaker ones fend for themselves and starve to death, that'd be something to look forward to. "Well, now that that's out of the way, I'd just like to point out that this town was the start of the war (History lesson, yay)! Everyone living thing was wipped out overnight, including resources, however, you MIGHT find a few old cans of beans or something, not like it'll help in the long run-Whoops! I'm spilling too much info to you scrubs, just figure the rest out yourselves~" he announced in a sickeningly sweet voice "And be wary of the storms that are yet to come!" he cackled as he ascended back into the dark sky.

After Game Master disappeared, the sky would turn back to the beautiful blue color, and the blistering heat from the almost blinding sun would come back as well.

Tachi was growling, what a sick and twisted...Uh...Sicko! "Well, as everyone else has been saying, we should probably stay together, there's safety in numbers..." She said.

Ciara was rummaging through the shelves, trying to find any signs of food or water. The girl was lucky enough to find a couple bottles of old water that looked, off. And a can of beans. Just as she was trying to find some kind of bag to put it in, she heard someone else enter the store. The girl went wide eyed in fear and ducked into one of the aisles, holding her head protectively. When the girl introduced herself though, Ciara blinked and whimpered. "I'm... I'm over here... There's nothing cold, but I did find a couple bottles of... honestly mucky looking wa-*SQUEAK!!*" There was a crash through the other window and Ciara ducked again. Only this time, it didn't seem friendly. So she drew her bow at the same time. "Are you with that person!?!?"

Daniel was trying his best to absorb all of what was going on around him in this surreal situation. He didn't like any of this. Part of him was hoping his dad would come rescue them sooner or later. But seeing as that would not be the case (atleast no yet in his mind) then he would just have to try and handle the situation at hand. "Yes! We should stick together. We'll be able to do so much more and faster!" Daniel agreed with whoever had suggested that. He didn't want to be alone in this anyway, not that he would be with Chessa with him... once she returned from whatever she was doing. "I believe my sister is already looking for stuff," he added, subtly hinting that he wanted to go look for her.


"Careful of that then. You'll get dysentery," Chessa chuckled trying to lighten the mood. And then a sound made one of her cat ears twitch, followed by the sound of glass shattering which startled her for a moment. "Easy now, don't panic. It'll burn more energy," Chessa replied to Ciara. Her heart was still beating pretty fast at what could be a dangerous situation. But Chessa managed to keep her cool despite the heat. Being as smart as she was, Chessa quickly deduced a few things. The rock had not been directly aimed at her, which meant it was intended to spook them. It was more then likely a single person based on the fact it was unlikely that a group of psychos would gather together so quickly- Chessa didn't know if such people could even function together as a group. Even if it was a group, they wouldn't be so coy about trying to spook anyone; strength in numbers.

She kept her knife clutched tightly in her hand which was in one of the pockets of her hoodie wrapped around her waist. "That anyway to greet a new friend?" Chessa called out to whoever had thrown that rock, trying not to let her voice quiver. Everyone seriously just needed to relax and use their heads. "We could be great friends you know. And I'd hate to make an enemy of someone standing behind the barrel of a gun," Chessa added, bluffing about what she had. Ciara would probably be able to tell she was bluffing if she peered through the aisles at Chessa. But whoever was lurking outside didn't know that, and she was hoping that their lurker would either make themselves known or go away. She wasn't seriously betting on them having a gun, because again, they wouldn't be so cautious... unless the gun happened to have no ammo which would be hilarious. Chessa was paying more attention to the outside of the store now that she knew Ciara wouldn't shoot her on sight. She only knew of the one potential lurker but had still not ruled out there being more due to the sounds.

mackenzie sniffs and then wipes her eyes "uhh koda there is a water source not far from here judgeing by the way the air is moist when coming from that directions" she says as she points north-northeast "i'd say at least an hours walk from here" she says taking a wild guess. she feels the moisture in the air again.

Alastair bites his lip as the girl pipes in, then starts to head off. He wanted her to stay, it was dangerous out there...but his speaking was pretty much spent at the moment.Listening to GM's little speech, the boy looks at Koda as he suggests a plan, thinking it over before giving a shy nod. From all the books he'd read that sounded like a decent plan.Then the other boy and the girl speak up. Ah...should they go look for his sis?Alastair bites his lip nervously, wanting to help.As Lance speaks up he watches, waiting quietly for other's reactions.

Edge gets bored, and begins to step out of the shadows, then growls softly as he sees the window shatter. Great....a interloper, a party pooper....The knife nut steps back into his hiding spot, waiting....for now.
