To the site.

Please don't regard this as anything official. I'm just a scribbler, but I feel I must say something.There are those who feel the mods aren't doing a good job.Perhaps your charries delayed. Perhaps you feel a mod was a little too harsh.Perhaps you feel they're throwing too much weight around. Please understand, I'm not saying these feelings are invalid. They're OK. Its alright to feel that way. Sometimes, mods,unfortunately, slip up. They're human, and thus they're susceptible to emotions, or troubles, or just plain weariness.So, occasionally, mistakes are made.

But if you'll remain patient with me,I'd also like you to understand something else.They aren't paid for this.The admin doesn't throw bills and says"Hey!!hey!!! I give you den moolah, go do something!!" They volunteer, they step up on their own free will,cause they want to help.They want this site to be made better, so we,and them,can enjoy it.We look at them and we see authority members. And,of course, we expect authority members to be able to do stuff we cant, to work tirelessly and skillfully for OUR needs.But, that's not the case.Again, they're human, and they also need to rest,and play. They have lives, And they have stresses. You arguing with them,pestering them, DEMANDING they tend to you? That just adds weight to their backs, and believe it or not it hurts them,it causes them pain.I've said from time to time, TTRPG is a family, and to some that's true, or pretty dang close.And family doesn't hurt each other. We provide a safe place,to get away from the sadness and weight that plagues us in RL, we are a sanctuary. And this applies to the mods, as well.No one has any right,whatsoever, to take away a persons sanctuary.

But, please, don't think I'm saying bow down and worship our overlords. What I'm saying is that if you got a problem,perhapsdiscuss it calmly. emphasis on DISCUSS. That means a polite, calm, perhaps even playful manner. Not argue,not insulting, not pushing,not playing the passive aggressive game.Youd be surprisd how far being nice gets you.This site doesn't belong to one group, or the other, it belongs to all of us.We ate, I'd say, a family. True, a weird, wacky one,but a family never less, so let's,as Dan Bull said, band together and endevour, let's clasp our hands together.If we do, im frankly awed at the thought of what could happen.^^
