A Warm Welcome (OPEN)

It was her first day back in Jump City, and Nano was glad that her parents let her go by herself. She had always missed the big city and now that she was back she wanted to see everything, from the city park to Titan's Tower.

Nano was amazed by all the people and the tall buildings, "Wow, I wonder why we moved away from this beautiful place." she said. Then suddenly there was a loud boom and the sound of alarms. Nano turned around to see three men in all black running out of a large whole in a bank's wall. She then ran into an ally, pulled off her coat, shoved it in her backpack, hid it behind a dumpster, then ran after the criminals.

The criminals, busy running, failed to notice the heroine behind them, but they couldn't have failed to notice the terrifying apparition waiting for them further down the alley. A huge, orgerish being of pure lightning raised stormy arms,and roared like a glitching speakere. The scummers, blanching in pure fear, skidded to a stop, cursing as they fall to the ground on their.....rumps.Seeing this, The Thing begins to laugh, a curiously human sound,nd their jaws drop as it fades away, revealing a chuckling, much smaller teen, with startling blue hair. "AhahahHhaha, that worked just great! I GOTTA use it on Manic, ahahahhaahaha!!!!"The criminals grind their teeth, and the leader gets up." Great, its tat halfling freak. Whatsa he go by gin'? Oh yah, Lightning Volf....... Boys, get him!!!!!" The bigger, stronger one hoists a huge crow bar, and rushes at the hlafdemon,swinging wildly. Toji's arm blurs, and the thug staggers back as a sword of lightning cuts his all too meager weapon in half. Toji steps forward, smacking the thug upside his head, sending the at least two hundred pound man cart wheeling, with the smoking length of steel spinning into a nearby wall. The skinny one, looking like a ferret that very much wished to hidden in the forest, shakily pulls out a gun, only to howl in pain as the blunt side of of a chain sythe smacks it out of his hand, and the blade attached to the other side slices it apart in the air. Toji grins, transforming his weapon back into the tanto form and slipping it back into Hus belt as he blurs toward....

A few seconds later, Toji turns his back on the bruised and groaning thugs, flipping open his T-communicator, failing to notice the leader pulling out a high tech gun, obviously stolen alien tech.

When Nano caught up to the thieves she saw the last one fall to the ground. As she looked up from the moaning men she saw a boy who look around her age. He, not seeing her, turned and pulled out a device that looked like a cell-phone. Then there was a louder groan from one of the men. Nano looked back at the man and saw that he was raising a a very high-tech gun. "Oh no you don't!" Nano shouted as she shot her fist at the gun making it fly from his hand and the man yell in pain. Then Nano recoiled her arm and shot out an electrinc net to make sure the thieves were emobolized.

When she was done Nano looked at the boy, "I could have handled them." She said with a tone of eritation in her voice.

"You could have just asked them to surrender," a high-pitched voice said. A fluffy pink couch came floating down from the air, slowly coming to rest on the street, just a few feet away from the two heroes and the beaten-up thieves. Reclining on the odd piece of furniture was a 10 year old girl. She was wearing a fuzzy blue bathrobe many sizes too large for her. Her bare feet barely managed to reach past the hem. The girl's yellow hair was neatly brushed and her sparkly white teeth showed from her smile. Overall, Shivering Jemmy looked unnaturally innocent.

"I mean, what did these guys ever do to you? They stole someone else's money, and your response is to violently attack them?" Jemmy didn't quite understand the whole 'limited resources' problem that faced humanity at large. She always had whatever she wanted.

"The way I see it, this fight was one-sided, even if they were up against only one of you. Someone needs to even the odds. Someone like..." The sound of metal striking stone resounded around the street. A heavy suit of armor walked around the corner, holding a mace in one hand and a shield in the other. The armor did not reveal any flesh, and only had small eye holes. "The invincible knight Sir Freddy should do the job. If you can beat him, then I'll allow these thieves to remain in your custody. If he beats you, then they get away, and they keep the money."

Sir Freddy launched himself at the two heroes, raising his mace high in preparation for a skull-crushing blow.

Nano Looked at the knight and thought, 'Invincible, really, this girl has got to be kidding.' Then she turned her arm into an energy cannon and prepared to fire when the knight got closer.

As the knight approched Nano charger her gun the shot out a green blast at the knight as he was swinging his mace to hit her. The blast sent him skidding backward into a dumpster in the ally.

Toji turns to the girl, blinking in surprise."Ehehehehheh.....Sorry, I didn't notice you....besides, I' a Titan, so it's my job to stop them....." He registers that he nearly got blasted, and groans."Maaaan....if Alpha Bow learns what happened, I'll be stuck doing awareness drills. Lets keep this between me and yo0u, yah?" Then, a little girl appears, and reprimands them for fighting the theives. Toji blinks."Hey, they started it! All I did was scare them. they couldve surrendered, if they wanted to!" Then suddenly, a knight is attacking them, and Nano blasts it. Toji jumps, transforming his tanto into Gaint Shuriken form, sending his weapon spinning into the armors middriff."Ahahahahaha, this is good fun!!" Landing, the goofy halfling concentrates, forming another Storm Cutter. Falling into a fencing stance, Toji waves the lightning blade around."Have at ye, villanous rogue!!" He blurs in close, slicing at full speed.

The energy blast knocked the knight back, slamming him into a dumpster. A second later, a giant shuriken stabbed into his armor, piercing it in several places. A normal person would be dead.

Sir Freddy pulled the shuriken out of himself and tossed it to the ground. Oddly, there was no blood, and the slots now in the armor were too narrow to reveal any damaged flesh. As Toji came running forward, Sir Fredrick moved extremely fast, bringing the shield up to block the attack. Lightning cracked in the air, and electrocuted the full suit of armor. Still, Sir Freddy did not hesitate, or show any sign of pain. He lashed out with his mace, aiming to break Toji's ribs.

Jemmy chuckled, watching the display from her couch. "I'm telling you, he's invincible. You might as well give up."

As Sir Freddy swung his mace Nano changed the setting on her arm and fired an electrically charged net at him. 'This kid is getting on my nerves!' Nano thought, 'I was just trying to stop a robbery, and now I've got a titan and a kid who is missing her nap time!' she continued to think as her arm jolted as it shot out the net.

Toji, seeing the maced arm draw back, holds out Hus hand, bring the magic weapon back to his hand, using it much like a shield.Despite his protection, the blow sends him skidding sideways. Good thing too, cause a electric net blasts pass him towards the huge knight.Toji grins, jumping backwards and transforming his weapon into the chain syth3s."Now that's an idea!!!Let's stop him from moving!!!!" Willing the chain to grow, the halfling wraps it in an intricate web around Freddy, stomping his feet into the ground as he braces himself, pulling tight on the chains.

The electric net wrapped around Freddy, restricting his ability to move his arms. The knight tried to push against the net to break it, but could not. What was the point of a net that easily broke? The electricity continued to spark against the metal, but the imposing figure seemed impossibly unharmed by it. There wasn't even a sound of discomfort. During the short fight, Freddy had not made a single noise.

Toji wrapped a chain around Freddy's armored frame and gave a tug. Freddy did not budge, at least not at first. After a moment, however, the heavy suit of armor lifted itself two feet into the air. It was hovering as though it didn't weigh a thing. Suddenly, Freddy flew towards Nano with blinding speed. He kicked one of his metallic feet at her face.

Jemmy had produced some popcorn from seemingly nowhere, and was happily munching it down while she watched the show.

What Nano saw dumbfounded her, The Knight was FLYING! She didn't have time to block the kick that was coming at her face, however she did jump in the nick of time. Instead of the gigantic metal foot hitting her face it hit her square in the chest! "UUhgg!" Nano ground as flew backwards and hit the wall of the building at the back of the ally.

Toji grins,laughing in victory."Give up!!!!This chain is unbreakable!!!!!"However, his laughter is cut short as he's jerked off his feet, and sent dragging behind the huge knight."Owowowowowowow.......Enough!!!!!!"Toji quickly drags himself up the chains, winding up on the shoulders of Freddy. As he begins to pound on the knights helmet, full force, full speed, the halfling hollers at nano." You alright?!"

Nano held her torso with her left arm, "I'm fine!" she yelled back at Toji.

After she caught her breathe spikes stuck out form Nano's right arm and leg. She stood up and looked for a way to get higher, her eyes locked on a fire escape ladder, "That'll work." she said to herself then ran to the ladder and climbed to the top of the building to get a better angle on the knight. Nano saw that Toji was pounding on Sir Freddy's head and desided that aming for his gut would be the best thing to do. She then stepped back a few feet then ran off the building and started up the jets in her boot and foot, she held out her right fist as she barroled down toward the knight. As her fist made contact Sir Freddy slid backward a few feet and Nanos fist was stick inside his metal torso.

The spiked fist pierced right through Sir Freddy's armor. As Nano withdrew her hand, she would find that the armor was the only thing that had been pierced. Behind the giant hole in the armor that she had just made, there was nothing but air.

The helmet that Toji had been punching fell off sideways, revealing...nothing. Sir Freddy had no body. He had no head. Sir Freddy was not wearing the suit of armor. He was the armor.

Jemmy jumped to her feet, popcorn flying everywhere. "Ha ha! I told you he was invincible. That's because there is no Sir Freddy. He doesn't exist. Now then, how will you defeat an opponent who doesn't exist?"

The electric net around Sir Freddy's arms unraveled, seemingly by itself. The armor held out its arms, and a spiked whip appeared in each hand, out of thin air! With the speed and reach of a whip, hitting these fast opponents would be much easier. The headless Sir Freddy lashed out with his new weapons, striking out at each opponent with one whip each.

Toji winces from the impact of the whip, but otherwise ignores it, though glowing, blutinted blood flies into the air." Enchanted armor huh?"the halfling grins,  channeling  his energy to make multiple boomers, dropping them into the Freddy armor. The lightning balls would explode with the force of a grenade, and there were ten of them.muhahahaha...Ahem, suffice to say, there would be a great, big boom." That only means I don't have to hold back!!Bombs away!!!!" The halfling summersaults off the knight, retrieving his weapon as he does so, ducking behind a nearby dumpster.
