 Powers:

Roann has the magical ability to knit. We're not kidding. He knits. Really well. Actually, he has a supply of magical yarn enchanted into his own body. Basically, he holds his hands out, and the yarn flows how he wants it to flow, in any color he wants. However, this is no ordinary wool. It's as hard and dense as steel, and pretty sturdy to boot. Thus, he has dubbed his unique brand of yarn "Steel Wool". How original. He can do lots of things with this yarn.

Knit-Golems: Roann has the ability to make golem like creatures out of, you guessed it, yarn.

There are three kinds of golems. The first are wee little tykes, about the size of a hound. He can make about 10 of these, but they take a bit of time. About 30 seconds per mini-golem.

Then there are his brute golems. These big boys tower at about 8 feet tall, and can lift about 2 tons each. These ones are obviously more complex, and require about 2 minutes to knit.

These golems don't have opposable thumbs either. Each golem can grow knitting needle spikes anywhere on their body, as hard as steel. These can regrow if cut off, but they can't grow more than 10 spikes. If you cut off their heads, they can be fixed, but only by Roann. If they loose any other appendage, they can sew themselves back together in a matter of 5 seconds.

Crochetructs:He can make anything out of yarn. I mean it. Anything. It might not be functional or alive, but he can at least make an incredibly accurate steel wool crochet model of it, any color. He often uses this to make large crochet shields or weapons in absence of his usual gear.

   Skills:
Can knit at an incredibly fast speed. For instance, he can make a nifty muffler in 2 minutes flat.

   Weaknesses:
Human: He's just human. A bullet will kill him, a knife will kill him. Anything that will kill or hurt a human will. He has no special durability.

Don't Interrupt Me: While making his knits, he can't stop. He can move, but can't stop. This means he's open for attacks assuming you can get past his minions.

   Equipment:

Needles: He basically has large knitting needles. They're not actually knitting needles, but swords made to look like a pair of them. He keeps them holstered on his belt. In addition, he keeps an actual pair of knitting needles. These aren't meant to be used as a weapon, but technically could if he wanted to. But he frankly doesn't want to spoil a perfectly good set of knitting needles.

   


   Personality: Roann has low tolerance for anyone who thinks a guy can't knit. He loves to just curl up in a chair, or sit at a table and do his lifes passion. He loves going to conventions, and finding better kinds of yarn. He is never deterred by failure, as he feels his knitting can help him pass the longest hours. He has little time for romance, and feels if he does find love, it will have to be one that knits.

   Strengths: He's usually very calm when upset. Unless he's prevented from doing what he loves, he keeps generally calm.

   Interests/Habits: He knits. He does very little else, but hang around in internet cafe's and knit. He gets looks and snide comments, but then he gives them a muffler they can't get off. That usually shuts them up. Outside of his actual criminal acts, he is something of a yarn bomber, making little cozies for anything in seconds.

 History: Knitting ran in the family business for young Roann. His parents ran a yarn store, and taught young roan how to knit from when he could first handle needles. He had a knack for it, while his brother specialized in history and archeology. His parents, upon retiring left the shop in Roanns care. However, doing some calculations, he found he couldn't keep running the shop in Gotham. There just wasn't the business for it. So he packed up shop and moved out. His brother gave him a book before leaving. It was an old book on old weaving techniques used by the so called "magicians of old". He found it on one of his digs, and figured it had very little archeological value, and his brother would appreciate it.

Then Roann made a discovery. The magic was real. He could enchant yarn and use it as he wished. Unfortunately, a robbery at his store left him rather bitter, especially after being beaten by one of the robbers, thinking him a weakling. This hardened Roann a little, and made him feel that he had a duty to make people see the benefits of knitting. But the robbery had set him back. From there... he turned to a life of crime on the side.
