===PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION===

Other Traits: Her hair is short, about a pixie cut and stark black. She also has cybernetics throughout her body and especially in her legs and arms.



===POWERS===


Powers:
Kinetic bursts: Nova is able to create focused vibrations into any material, but is best at putting them into the ground. She is so good at it that the vibrations cause spontaneous impacts and direction changes to anything less than 500 pounds. These vibrations are effective and exact enough to cause damage to extremely durable opponents by causing incredible amounts of damage to even the sturdiest structures. With her needles engaged, any of her physical hits can be effectively enhanced to make all but the most durable opponents feel as if they're a normal human. This applies to her feet and needles, but only when her needles are engaged.

   Seismic bursts: Her specialty. The vibrations these strikes send out reach 8 feet. Anyone standing within 8 feet, or only an inch or two off the ground, will lose the air in their lungs in an instant. The pressure change will feel like suddenly having a weight you can't carry thrown onto you, or running into a wall at full speed. This applies to anyone without magical or energy shielding, regardless of defenses, armor or durability it will hurt the same amount. Without her needles these impacts will feel like normal punches, once again, to anyone. The same goes for her kicks, but her toes are able to pierce nearly any material thanks to their cybernetic enhancements. The only things it can't pierce are magical, have an energy shield around them or made of dilustel or similar material.

   Seismic build: While on structures or even in the ground Nova can slowly build up seismic events. This is especially devastating when she has beings trapped on her needles. Without killing them she can shatter nearly every bone in a body. The oddest part is that her victims can completely recover in a week or two, since the injuries are entirely made of micro fractures. The other thing she can do is shake apart entire structures over the course of three posts. It is incredibly difficult to approach her while this is happening. Air is pushed away from her to the point that any projectile is deflected as soon as she starts and there is an incredible amount of noise, causing brittle objects in the area to shatter. It takes roughly an hour to cause a damaging earthquake to a 200 yard area. Using this ability she can usually knock down bridges, buildings and destroy roads within fifteen minutes, if she is focused.

Cybernetic Physiology: Nova has cybernetics strewn throughout her body, making her more durable, stronger than most people her size and weight, and faster. She does not have super strength, but can lift roughly 250 pounds on her own. A single kick from Nova can knock a man to the ground several feet away, unconscious or dying and a straight kick can dig her toes deep into someone, easily piercing flesh, wood concrete and even steel but only for a few inches. She also can run at roughly 60 miles per hour for extended periods of time

   Durability: Nova can take a bigger beating than a human. She is bullet proof to all but armor piercing rounds, though she does find them annoying and usually feels a need to block them. She can be hit by large vehicles and get up with scrapes and bruises, along with jumping off of large buildings. She could trade blows with someone with 3 tons of strength like it was a normal fight, albeit she would be tossed around good bit. Her legs and needles are even more durable than that though. They can take blows of 10 tons, though she'll still get thrown about.
   
Reflexes: Quake can dodge multiple people using semi automatic weapons for short periods of time when she is 20 feet or so away from them. This ability usually only activates when the enemy makes it necessary. It causes stress on the human portions of her body. It can only be used for seconds at a time, but tends to be able to be used quickly afterwards.
 

Master Ballerina: Able to keep focus when in extreme pain. Able to have precise control over all facets of herself. Incredibly flexible and able to leap long distances with ease and has the endurance of an ox. These are the traits that Nova brings to the table thanks to her training as a Ballerina. Had she taken a different path it seems likely that she would have become Prima Ballerina
   
   Control: This is why she can use her needles. Nova has incredible control over her body and mind, able to ignore the constant pains during performance and stop her movement with barely a brush to the ground. You can be assured that if she wants to land twenty feet away, she will land twenty feet away, exactly. Even when she only has one foot on the ground, she has solid stance. She is a master of interacting with her environment. As such, she can memorize environments extremely easily. Along with this control is control of her body. As agile as an Olympic gymnast and nearly as flexible as any contortionist. She is a master of shifting her center of gravity while in mid air and can do seemingly impossible movements effortlessly. For example, for her and any ballerina of her caliber it is easy to bring her leg up to her chest while waiting to land from a twirl and do that landing without her heel ever touching the ground.

   Cry of the Swan:A fighting style specifically made for her that she learned from the Zydon. It makes use of her extreme flexibility and powerful joints, making her a master fighter. as stated above, she strikes with precision and, more often than not, deadly intent. This includes countering punches by threading them with her needle. APPROACH WITH EXTREME CAUTION.

Skills:
Ballet: One of the best Ballerinas alive. She works this into her fighting style and, by doing so, can strike at a moments notice with extreme grace. It also makes her strikes oddly precise and gives them the tendency to be piercing. A kick from her can easily pierce the skin of a human, even a normal strike with only her fingers can penetrate

Climbing: Her needles make it easy for her to climb walls, if they're durable enough.

Weaknesses:
E.M.Ps: these make her have human limitations in terms of strength and speed for 10 seconds. Make them count.

Magic and energy: These defenses aren't affected by her needles directly and may be able to block her seismic strikes. The magic defense needs to protect against at least a ton though. simply being magic is not enough.

Long range: Quake has very limited long range capabilities.

X-ionized material: One deep cut from something made of this will disable her powers until she heals. It also bypasses her durability, as it does to anything else.

Technomancers: When technomancers try to take control of her cybernetics they all lock down, leaving her as a human who is very durable. No superspeed, no quakes, just a normal ballerina with enhanced durability.

Needles: She can only keep her needles extended for 5 posts before retracting them for a full post...or one minute at a time.

Concussive vs. Penetration. Her only method of dealing concussive damage is her seismic impacts. On the other hand, all her appendages can penetrate almost anything.

Equipment:
Two permanently bonded needles are attached to her fore arms. They can collapse so her hands can be used and are nearly indestructible. They, along with all of her cybernetics are made from a dilustel alloy that gives her the energy to generate shockwaves. These needles can run through solid steel with ease. They can't slice though. They can make grooves in things and wedge themselves in deep though.  Being run through with her needles can cause an impressive two inch hole in any material.

===PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE===


Personality: She is incredibly bitter at the world, especially those who criticize her dancing. Other dancers are also in trouble. Such things won't send her into a rage, but she probably will attempt to kill you. Approach her with care. In direct contradiction with that, is her demeanor while and directly after dancing, which is incredibly friendly and bright. This can cause her to appear extremely friendly while fighting, yet still ruthless.
She treats her enemies cruelly, often avoiding killing them in favor for slowly disabling them over the course of a fight. She will wedge her needles through joints and stab enemies with her feet, just deep enough to hurt, but not hit any serious veins or arteries. In general conversation she is incredibly sarcastic and generally inexperienced. She spent most of her life practicing then went deep into seclusion when she was injured.

This has caused her to separate herself from all others. She is extremely jaded to suffering and lacks empathy or sympathy. It is her job to create large scale destruction. She will tear down buildings, break bridges and tear power plants apart without a shred of guilt. Once she has her job, it is incredibly hard to reason with her and she will not deal in lives other than her own.

Strengths:
Incredible Drive: As long as she wants something, she can work through nearly any pain.

Intimidation: She can be effective at being threatening and intimidating

Range: Her Needles give her superior range to nearly any normally proportioned. Only the very tallest of humans will have a chance of beating her teach

Skill: a regular player of chess. Petra is incredibly good at making short term plans and can predict general moves with some accuracy

===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===

Family Members: Died in the car crash that took her legs
Place of Origin: San Diego
History: Petra was born, in the U.S.A to two dance instructors who had chosen to live and teach in the United States instead of Russia due to connections letting them teach to very rich and privileged people. After many years of this, they finally got bored and, thinking they could live in relative ease, chose to move back to Russia and teach there, hopefully to students with real potential and drive. At the time, Petra was just about nine.

Luckily, Petra already knew Russian, unfortunately, she never really fit in. Her one reprieve was a large one. Dancing. Petra spent the majority of every day dancing, learning from her parents, practicing on her own. When grounded, she was grounded from dancing. Of course it was a bit hard to do that, so her parents usually made her wear ankle weights when grounded, which didn't stop her, but did make her audible.

This all changed when she was half way into her fourteenth year of life. While out and about her family died at the hands of a random beating by a large group of people, in broad daylight, people looked on, walked on, but none intervened. She survived, but her legs had been shattered, after the first few months it quickly became clear she would never walk again. She was stuck with only her family's usual help, in a three story house that, in which, she needed help to even get to her room.

Her legs were also a constant source of pain. The nerves had been heavily damaged. The only solution to which was an option she was not willing to even consider, amputation. Several more months passed before she was suddenly approached by a group of odd people, all with a strange emblem on their hand. She was suspicious at first, but when they said they could make her dance again, she was all too willing.

Soon she would be able to dance, not just that though. They gave her power. Power she could use as she pleased to take her vengeance on the people. On the crowds the beat her and her parents and the crowds more that didn't stop it from happening. Her job, now, is to cause large scale disasters, knock down bridges and tear through durable enemies.[/center]
