"Bull crap, the monster wasn't that big, if you could blow up buildings you woulda done it." Gilda crossed her arms confidently, "You're a dweeb and a liar." Then the girl started ignoring her. That was so not cool. Gilda held in her anger as much as possible but it was still pretty easy to read on her face. This chick was going down.

Gilda stared at her few a moments. Despite being steaming mad, she was still a bit stunned. No one tended to treat her like that...not that they had the chance, she typically didn't converse with people so long. It was hard to talk to people when you were high up in the air.

Then Ray flipped her off. Finisher time. Gilda bolted forward at the cloud the girl had just disappeared behind. She went for a nice tackle around the waist then would push off the girl and go into a dive "Cya on the ground Dweeb." she said, returning the same gesture Ray had given her.

As Ray was flying off, she was tackled. She expected her to come back for more insults, but being tackled took her somewhat off guard.
Then, she was kicked off of and used to get a boost.

Ray fell through all the clouds, and to Gilda, she would be down there for a long time. But, a rainbow bolt shot through the clouds and spun around Gilda. She went top speed (900 mph), circling around Gilda until a mini tornado formed, whether she was in there or not. "Pathetic! You had to push off me to get speed! And for a second I even thought you were a decent flyer!" Ray spat at her with a challenging grin. She was ready for a fight, even though her hero side was screaming to not cause any trouble.

Gilda was surprised by the girl's speed even though she was told about it. She hadn't realized what a big difference there was between their speeds. The tornado...not nearly as impressive. It made Gilda shake a bit, but with a bit of focus and will she kept herself on target. She kept her face serene and simply smiled at Ray. She knew that Ray was quick, that much was pretty obvious, but she was pretty sure she was a stronger flier.

Gilda turned out of her dive and then shot straight up into the air, it was suddenly made obvious that Gilda's flight wasn't solely dependent on her wings. She soared upwards as if gravity didn't even have a finger on her. She had contrails streaming off of her wing tips. "Let's see how much of a high flier you really are!" she said as she continued rocketing upwards.

This chick was quick and could heal really fast. She was probably pretty tough too, not to mention those rainbow things she could shoot. That wasn't important though, she could handle that. Whether or not Ray could handle high altitude temperatures and low oxygen...she had a hunch that wouldn't go so well. Gilda could already see her breath. The cold bit at her skin. "Having fun?" she yelled back.

Gilda shot up above her into the colder air. Ray was a tough girl, her lungs were huge and bearable, but if she went any higher she could die!
But being Ray, tough, stupid, and stubborn, she wasn't going to let Gilda win that easily!

Ray shot up and followed Gilda, her skin getting cold and her breath fogging up. He goggles froze up so she couldn't see, but all Ray did was took them up and pushed farther and harder. "The only fun part will be the look on your face once this is over!" Ray breathed as she pushed further and past Gilda. Her mind was determined, but her body couldn't keep up. Her heart was slowing and her wings were freezing up around the edges. But she couldn't give up yet.

gilda was starting to wonder if she would have to carry this chick back down. She was stubborn, but the Thanagarian was confident that she would be able to go higher. She was built for it after all. She was in her element as they rose. Ray, however, seemed to be, mostly, human. Other than the obvious parts that weren't. She had this in the bag, "Don't black out now. Who would catch you?"

She was joking, she had toyed with the idea of seeing how long it would take Ray to wake up. She didn't like the odds it gave the rainbow haired girl. Gilda liked her, she was cool. She might even be a good friend in the future. For now though, she was a rival and she was going down.
