Zack Wylder

===IDENTITY===

Full Name: Zack Wylder
Nickname(s): Zack
Codename: The Knight, Silent Night
Alias(es): None
Age: 20
Classification: Rouge weapon/Augmented human
Affiliation: Himself

===PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION===

Hair Color: Dark brown/light black
Eye Color: Hazel
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 1165 lbs. (1259.6 lbs. fully armed and equipped)
Other Traits: Zack is well built, and his toned muscles are covered in scars, however his face is devoid of any scar tissue. Being a homeless traveler, Zack only has one set of clothes: A plain white tee shirt, a tattered pair of jeans, a pair of well worn combat boots, and a worn leather jacket - brown with two parallel creme stripes running along the outside of the arms from each shoulder to the wrists. He is never seen without this jacket, regardless as to the rest of his clothing (or lack thereof) and it is always worn open.

As he has always cut his own hair, Zack has a rather unique hairstyle. Since he almost always has it slicked back against his skull, he simply uses his combat knife to cut off his ponytail whenever he can form one. As such, his bangs actually go all the way back to the base of his skull, and his hair gets progressively shorter as it approaches the same point.

Because of the horrors of his past, and perhaps as a side effect of his mental state, Zack's mouth is frozen in a perpetual rictus grin. While it can widen and twitch, it is more or less unable to express emotions, and therefore the vast majority of his facial expressions take place through his eyes. His grin remains present at all times, even when he is unconscious or asleep. The rest of Zack's face is angular, almost hawk-like in structure with a tanned olive complexion, and he likely would appear noble and rather handsome if it weren't for his perpetual grin. While Zack may appear to be some whimsical madman, those few who notice will see the clever and cunning intelligence behind his glittering eyes.

Zack's voice was originally deep and resonant before his current condition and occasionally, usually when he's especially angry or dark, reverts to this original state. However thanks to his mental state, or perhaps by his own design, he perpetually sounds like he's about to lose a fight with a bought of hysteric laughter, and as such, his voice tends to be higher pitched and somewhat manic.

===POWERS===

Powers: Zack has no powers. As such, he is immune to effects and abilities that negate, copy, or steal powers from metahumans. That being said, Zack's past has literally driven him beyond the brink of madness. While it isn't a power, it does make Zack different from any other being and it does confer a series of weaknesses and bonuses:

Madness: Zack was a human experiment, a weapon created by L.A.W. The procedures and training he was forced to go through day after day were intended to drive him insane - L.A.W. has found that the weaker a subject's grip on reality, the more likely the subject is to submit to mental indoctrination. Zack's madness confers the following traits:

Unpredictable: Zack's actions rarely make sense to anyone but himself, and while this can be beneficial to him, it can also make it incredibly difficult for any allies to anticipate his actions or intentions. He may even decide to betray a supposed ally for reasons only he can fathom.

Unstable: Unbeknownst to Zack, his mental state is actually slowly deteriorating. If left unchecked, he will eventually lose the last shreds of sanity he has left, becoming a mindless killing machine with no concept of friend or foe.

The voices! The screams!: Zack can hear the screams of the long dead echoing about in his skull - ghosts of his past sins crying out to be avenged. In combat, they get louder, blocking Zack's already damaged sense of logic and reason. They can drive him to a maddened frenzy where, while he fights with an almost berserk fervor, he occasionally cannot tell friend from foe (or simple doesn't care) and throws himself in combat, praying only for someone who can best him - and make the screams finally stop. Furthermore, the voices and twisted faced of those he has killed plague him whenever he tries to sleep. As such, he is incapable of gaining any real rest and only sleeps when exhaustion forces him to pass out. He has since gotten used to this cycle and is able to ward off all negative effects of exhaustion until his third(sometimes fourth) consecutive day without sleep. It is then that he tends to find somewhere to pass out.

Shattered soul: As in the mind, so too in the soul. Since Zack's mind is shattered, his soul is just as fractured. Interestingly, this makes it difficult for beings with the ability to do so to manipulate his mind or soul. In fact, psychics who are unaware of his past and the dangers of his mind have the potential to suffer tremendous backlash - Potentially being forced to hear the screams that echo throughout Zack's skull or becoming trapped in a memory, momentarily forced to live out the most horrific points in Zack's past. However this also makes it nigh impossible for Zack to voluntarily mentally link with anyone, and what would be beneficial psychic communication is far to garbled with haunted memories and, vengeful voices, anguished screams - all suffered by everyone joined by the mental link.

Stubborn: Zack is an accomplished fighter and a stealth expert, however that is his combat style. He knows how to fight outside of his style, but refuses to do so. As such, Zack relies on either attacking an unsuspecting victim (or someone who doesn't know where he is) or must rely on being attacked so that he may redirect said attack. Perhaps because of this, he constantly jokes with, insults, and belittles his opponents, inside and outside of combat, as he is always trying to goad someone into making the mistake of attacking him.

Souls of the Fallen: Each and every experiment created by L.A.W. is issued something: be it a weapon, a piece of armor, or an everyday item. The experiments are taught that this item is more than an item: They are weapons. Their item is their weapon. A weapon is issued to the one it is best suited for, and therefore they ARE their weapon. Their weapon is them, it is their life, it is their soul. Zack was issued the Knight's Armor, (detailed later) however he carries the souls of several others with him. His jacket, his Famas, his Glock, and his combat knife were all issued to others: Members of his team in the brutal training grounds of L.A.W., and the souls of the only friends he's ever had. While he uses them all as much as he uses his own armor, to him, they are people. He takes care of them and has regular conversations with all but his jacket, the only item given to him willingly, it's owner the only one he views as dead. Interestingly, whenever Zack uses one of the weapons he carries, he tends to act and fight more like the one who originally carried it.

Skills: While Zack is a skilled marksman, he is first and foremost a stealth operative specializing in redirecting enemy attacks in a jujitsu based style of cqc - close quarters combat. For an easy comparison to the levels of skill:

Marksmanship: Zack is on par an your average US Marine in terms of marksmanship, though he tends to lose a significant amount of accuracy when firing on the move or while performing some sort of maneuver, which tends to be more often than not. (Madness - Stubborn is the primary cause of this)Meaning his accuracy is on par with a US Marine when he has time to aim, ie, when he is standing/crouching still.

Stealth: The original goal was for Zack to function both as a stealth operative and as an untouchable combatant. He is on par with the likes of Batman and Solid Snake (from the Metal Gear Solid series fro those who don't know) in terms of stealth ops, however where Batman and Snake tend to remain stealthy, Zack prefers to use terror tactics - intentionally leaving a body in plain sight, picking people off while they are in groups, leaving them questioning where the attack even came from, etc. (However Batman does lean towards a less extreme variant of this).

CQC: Zack specializes in redirecting enemy attacks, and while this usually means that someone has to attack him for him to be effective in close combat, he is very slippery and fluid as a hand to hand combatant and very difficult to land a solid punch on. However since he must respond to his enemies attacks, he tends to fight at a similar level. While he is on par with the likes of Black Canary, he cannot always redirect an attack. (for example, it's pretty hard to perform Jujitsu on a particularly large opponent such as Trigon, Cinderblock, or Ternion, and the same goes for incorporeal opponents that can become gaseous, liquid, or are otherwise able to phase through physical objects.) In addition, while Zack is skilled, he is only as strong as a well built human. While he can boost an attack or anchor himself with his armor, and his combat style at least allows him to hold off (but not necessarily beat) a significantly stronger opponent, there is a clearly defined limit as to what he can physically accomplish.

Weaknesses: Each is fully described in it's given section, however a list of Zack's weaknesses are as follows:
Madness - Unpredictable
Madness - Unstable
Madness - The voices! The screams!
Madness - Shattered soul
Madness - Stubborn
Madness - Souls of the Fallen
The Knight's Armor - Extreme Density
The Knight's Armor - Elemental Superconductivity
Weapons - Ammunition

Equipment: Zack Was originally issued the Knight's Armor when he was rebuilt, however he has since acquired several others.

The Knight's Armor: L.A.W.'s chief experiments have not only been with human testing, but they have extended to every possible aspect of weaponization - humans, animals, aliens, metahumans, plants, and even various elements. Through their research and experimentation  L.A.W. has created what they believe to be the ultimate or final element: A metal alloy kept so far under lock and key that even it's name is classified at a such a level that very few even know of. Since they created it, L.A.W. has repeatedly discovered new properties of this alloy that merit further investigation. The Knight's Armor is the latest weapon L.A.W. has crafted with this unique alloy, utilizing everything they knew about it at the time. However that was twenty years ago - perhaps they have discovered something else?

The Knight's Armor was implanted beneath Zack's flesh, between the epidermis and outer, or longitudinal,muscular layer. In addition, it has been wired into his nervous system. As such, it cannot be taken from him. It is composed of interlocking rings that slide over one another in order to keep from prohibiting his movements. There is no point in his entire body not protected by this system, however this is as detrimental as it is beneficial. The Knight's Armor confers the following bonuses and weaknesses:

Extreme Density: The alloy composing the Knight's Armor is far denser than any material humanity has previously been able to find: On one hand, it's finished form is nigh indestructible when presented with physical attacks, while on the other it is very heavy - The Knight's Armor weighs roughly 1000 lbs, which means that Zack is unable to swim, will likely break any unstable surface he walks across, will rapidly sink in soft terrain suck as sand, cannot sprint, and usually has to take the stairs.

Elemental Superconductivity: The primary weakness of the Knight's Armor (but perhaps the primary strength of another weapon) is that the alloy it is composed of is superconductive to heat, cold, and electricity. If Zack cannot balance his temperature, what anyone else would consider a second degree burn to the arm or leg would be a fatal wound to him as the heat (similarly, the cold) rapidly spreads throughout his body and roasts (or freezes) him to death.

For example, if a lit cigarette were pressed to an exposed piece of his armor located at his fingertip, then his entire arm would receive third degree burns and the vast majority of his chest would receive second degree burns, while the rest of his body would receive a first degree burn. Similarly  if an ice cube were pressed to the same exposed point and he was unable to warm up his body in time, he would receive frostbite to his entire arm as well as hypothermia. Similarly, a tazer to the chest is the equivalent of being hooked up to a car battery. Note that if an elemental attack fails to break the skin, then his skin acts as a barrier to it. This is why he doesn't die if it gets too hot or too cold outside, though this effect is far less effective when presented with electricity as flesh conducts rather than dampens it.

Magnetic Field: The primary focus of the Project: Knight was not only to create the perfect stealth operative, but to create a weapon that made use of the most recently discovered property of the alloy: when exposed to electrical impulses such as those found in the human nervous system, the allow becomes magnetic. The intensity of the impulse could change the polarity of the magnetic field projected by this alloy, and the strength of the impulse could alter the strength of the magnetic field. As the Knight's Armor is wired into Zack's nervous system, not only can he feel through it, but he can make any part of his body magnetic by concentrating on it. The strength of his magnetic field depends on how hard he concentrates, however while he has achieved a degree of control between reversing his polarity and manipulating multiple parts of him at the same time, he is the magnet - in the end he cannot choose what is affected, and so during a fight, objects in the surrounding area tend to randomly move around. In addition, his ability to move objects is equal to five times his ability to physically move the object: ie, Zack is slightly stronger than most people and can dead lift roughly 300 lbs, meaning he can move roughly 1500 lbs magnetically, however the closer to his limit he gets, the harder it is to move the object just as it is with physically picking something up, and if he were to push himself to far he can potentially suffer a fatal hemorrhage in the brain. In addition, he uses this ability to more or less negate the effect of the weight of his armor on himself (though his weight still applies to whatever he's on) as well as keep his weapons at the ready. He has done both of these for so long that they have become second nature to him, he does so in the same manner that he regulates his own breathing and heart rate, like any other person.

Weapons: Zack has acquired a series of weapons that he uses, usually one at a time, to aid him in battle (or any other scenario where he thinks they'll be useful). Following is a description of each Note that both guns require ammunition, and at any given time Zack only carries two spare clips for each. Once he runs dry, they're useless until he can resupply:

William: Zack's Famas. With the exception of who it belonged to, there is nothing special about it. In combat, William was best described as a "mad gunman" and tended to hose his enemies in a blistering hail of fire. It is a French made bullpup (the action is located behind the trigger) assault rifle: 29.8 inches in length, weighing 8.4 lbs, and firing 5.56x45 mm NATO rounds.It's effective range is 450 meters (roughly 1476 feet) it's maximum range is 3200 meters (roughly 10,499 ft), a rate of fire between 1000 and 1100 rounds a minute, and a muzzle velocity of 925m/s, or 3030ft/s. Zack's Famas uses a 30 round STANAG magazine.

Terry: Zack's Glock 17. Like his other weapons, the only distinguishing feature is who once wielded it and who currently wields it. In combat, Terry tried to resolve any conflict as quickly and efficiently as possible, taking time to place his shots. The Glock 17 is an Austrian semi-automatic pistol and is 8.03 inches long, 5.43 inches tall and 1.18 inches wide, weighing 32.12 oz when fully loaded with it's 17 round clip of 9x19 cal. rounds. It has an effective range of 50m (55 yards) and a muzzle velocity of 375m/s (1,230 f/s).

Amy: Zack's KA-BAR. In combat, Amy was a lot like Zack, except where he laughed and joked, she licked the blood from her blade... Like the rest of his weapons, the only distinguishing feature is who wielded it and who wields it. Amy weighs 1.23 lbs and is 11.875 inches long with a 7 inch long Bowie type blade of 1095 carbon steel and a stacked leather washer hilt.

Miscellaneous:

Craig's Jacket: Craig was Zack's first friend, and for a long time, Zack's only friend. Before he was taken to a different phase of testing, Craig gave Zack his soul for safekeeping. It is a brown leather jacket lined with steel bands and Kevlar layering, in total weighing about 80 lbs.The jacket is about as resilient as a bulletproof vest, however aside from being an additional layer against elemental attacks, it's resilience serves Zack no real purpose. He carries it to keep Craig's soul safe, like he promised.

Liev's Mask: Shortly after his escape, Zack met another experiment - Liev Aleksandr Ehrlichmann. Liev informed Zack that among those trapped in L.A.W.'s cages, he was a hero - a legend. He had done what no one else had: He had escaped with his life. Zack's actions had inspired others to do so, and some had even been successful. Before they parted ways, Liev gave Zack a gift: A mask. It is blank, yet perfectly crafted to fit the wearer's face and seems to draw melancholy feelings out of the heart. A single, beautifully scripted word is engraved in the upper left corner of it's interior: "Honest" Zack keeps it on his hip, with his belt threaded through the eye-holes to keep it in place. It serves no practical purpose, merely a reminder that he is not alone.

===PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE===

Personality: Zack is intelligent and cunning, but he hides it behind his own madness, and many see him as simply a hysteric lunatic. Deep down, Zack is actually a good guy, however years of brutal training, madness, and much more have changed him for the worse. However under the right circumstances it may be possible for his original traits to shine through once more. Zack actually has a strong sense of honor and has been known to leap to the defense of those who cannot fight back. Deep down, Zack is very lonely and self loathing: he sees himself as a monster, and he's either lost or been forced to kill everyone he's ever known. He tends to avoid any kind of friendship or relationship both to protect people and because in his mind, monsters don't have friends, only people who want them dead.

Strengths: Loyalty, courage, and willpower.

Interests/Habits: Hunting L.A.W., testing his limits, fighting, messing with people, people watching, and babies. (He finds them fascinating. They find him terrifying)

===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===

Family Members: All deceased. Their names classified/unknown. Even Zack can only remember a few faces.
Place of Origin: Classified/unknown (Zack doesn't remember)
Current City: Jump City
History: Zack's past is horrific, tragic and bloody. As a child, he was chosen by L.A.W. to be the next in their line of experimental weapons utilizing their alloy. As such, Zack was a cut above the rest later on.

Zack and his family were hunted down by an operative referred to as the Bishop. Whether or not he used more force than he was ordered to is unclear, but the Bishop gunned down Zack's family and slaughtered everyone on the entire street, including Zack. Zack though Zack died that day, his soul was forcibly kept within his body by a meta known only as Eternal. Zack was offered a choice: Join a secret military project, or die. Zack was merely an eight year old child. He didn't want to die. Zack knew nothing of the Bishop or his affiliations for quite some time.

Zack was given a minute dose of a modified serum that had first been tested on a previous experiment - an operative known as the Rook. The serum promoted rapid growth. However it had been perfected in the decades since it had first been tested, and where the Rook was transformed into a gigantic hulking brute without a mind, Zack was given the body of a young man. After months of physical therapy to deal with the agony such a transformation and get used to having a completely different body, Zack was taken in for surgery.

He was kept awake and fully conscious while he was skinned alive by a team of doctors, all deaf to the child's cries for help, for them to stop, them finally for death. After each plate was wired into his nervous system, he was finally allowed a moment's respite while the plastic surgery team prepped his old skin as well as synthetically grown flesh. At this point he had been strapped to a table and operated on for 14 hours with no end to his agony.

After he was finished, he was allowed to recover with only intense physical therapy to learn to move in his new body. Three months later, he was thrown into the first phase of L.A.W.'s process for weeding out the failures. The experiments were forced to fight one on one to the death. At first, Zack refused. He was tortured for his disobedience and informed that the others would die regardless - there would always be someone else to take his place. He could either be tortured to death, making his feat of surviving up to this point completely worthless, or he could go out and fight. Once again, he chose to live.

For three years, he watched as bodies, many of them mere children, were dragged away, their blood splattered across his body. Then one night as he sat in his holding cell, he was approached by a boy named Craig. The brutal conditions in L.A.W.'s training grounds were designed not only to turn children into killers, but they were designed to drive them insane. Each and every experiment who had survived to this point had developed some form of madness. Zack was already hearing the screams that haunt his mind to this day, and Craig was no exception.

Craig's madness manifested in a powerful paranoia. Craig was convinced that "they" were always gunning for him, and as Zack had gained a reputation as the most unbeatable contender out there, he sought Zack out to use him as a bodyguard. Zack is no idiot, and knew this the moment Craig approached him, but he so desperately wanted a friend, someone that he didn't have to murder, that he didn't care. Despite Craig's selfish intentions, the two became very good friends, and their friendship lasted almost a full year.

Both Zack and Craig were brought into the next level of testing, where experiments were formed into teams. If teammates survived long enough and proved compatible, then they would be squad mates after full indoctrination  However some operatives were meant to work alone. Both Zack and Craig fell into this category, however Zack was meant to be a future leader, where Craig was to be an insurgent. As such, Zack was to be given a team before his indoctrination, and Craig needed no such training.

At this stage, there was a legend whispered among the experiments  The room. The door at the end of the hall. The nightmare of many, the aspiration of some, and worship to others. When an experiment's name was called, the door would open, and the orderlies would come forth. Some strode in willingly, others were dragged kicking and screaming. No one ever came out except the orderlies. No one knew what happened behind that door, but any experiment who crossed it's threshold was never seen again.

The night that they were moved to the next stage, Craig had a premonition of his own death. For the first time, he knew it was coming. He knew it was here. His fear, the looming possibility of being watched, being hunted, being killed, evaporated in an instant and for the first time since he became an experiment, he was calm. He gave Zack his jacket and was waiting outside the door when the orderlies announced his name, to their mild surprise. Zack felt abandoned, but he had promised to take care of Craig's soul and did so for three long months before he was assigned his first teammate - A young man named William.

Outside of combat, William was very proper. His manners and suit jacket were all at odds with his surroundings. But in combat, he was exactly the opposite, laughing as he sprayed his foes with gunfire from his Famas, shaking his stark white hair from his eyes as he made their corpses dance. The next was a young man named Terry. Zack found that he genuinely liked Terry. Not because he desperately wanted a friend, but because Terry made him laugh. That was Terry's madness: He saw the world as his own paradise, where there was no killing, no violence, no hatred. Everyone was happy and laughing, and there was no pain or sadness. He was so very trapped in his own world that he turned homicidal whenever anything threatened it, using his Glock 17 to methodically remove anyone who didn't follow his idea of the world.

Finally, there was Amy. Zack didn't know how he felt about Amy. He knew he was her friend and she his, but there was something different  He couldn't stop thinking about her, and fighting alongside her was somehow different than fighting alongside Terry and Will. Unlike Terry and Will, Amy was exactly the same outside and inside of combat: Dark, rarely speaking, never laughing. Where Terry tried to stop the fighting, Zack cracked jokes, and William laughed hysterically, Amy licked the blood from her KA-BAR and prowled for a new victim.

Over the next five years, Zack led his team to victory after victory. The fights were no longer to the death, but now to first kill - the first team to lose a member lost the fight, and were usually tortured and starved as punishment. Zack's team became legendary: they were the only ones never to lose a member. Eventually they became so tightly knit that it was rumored that they were telepathic  Perfectly anticipating each other's moves. Outside of combat, they were the perfect vision of Terry's world, and even Amy almost smiled on occasion. Then Terry was called into the room. They didn't laugh anymore after that.

A month went by, and Will was next. Over the next three months, Zack was constantly terrified that they'd call his or Amy's name. When it happened, he refused to let her go, and the orderlies were in the process of calling security teams when Amy did two things she'd never done before: She hugged Zack, and she smiled. Not the vague almost smile she had when she was trying not to laugh at one of Terry's jokes, but a genuine smile. She told him everything would be alright. And she walked through the door as he tried to comprehend what had just happened and why her leaving him hurt so much more than when Terry or Will had gone.

It was then that Zack finally had had enough. For years he had been tossing around the idea of escape, but it had always seemed too impossible to even try. However he no longer cared how impossible it was. Throughout his time at L.A.W., Zack, while a successful combatant and an impressive stealth operative, had been considered a failure: He had never exhibited the magnetic properties that L.A.W.'s scientists hoped he would. In truth, he had long ago discovered this ability, but had managed to keep it from everyone, including his own team. He had practiced in secret until he was finally ready.

When he was 18 years old, after a decade in the hellhole of L.A.W.'s training grounds, Zack broke out of the training wing, using his magnetic ability to take the guards by surprise. He slaughtered his way past security personnel and orderlies alike. That's when he saw them: His team. Terry, William, and his heart leaped when he saw Amy, though he didn't understand why.

They were dressed in black fatigues and combat boots, which he had just enough time to register before a single gunshot rand throughout the hall and a bullet from Terry's Glock hit him dead center in the chest. That single shot did nothing to harm him physically, but it was the single most painful moment of his entire life - not even being skinned alive held up to it: His team, his only friends were attacking him, trying to kill him. As if nothing had ever happened between any of them.

None of them listened to his cries, they all ignored him as he begged them to stop, to remember him, to escape with him. Zack's time was running out: those in L.A.W. who were more than capable of harming and killing him were closing in. Not knowing what else to do, he murdered his only friends, taking their souls with him to keep them safe. In that moment, his already fractured mind shattered, and his anguish has never faded.

It was not until some time after his escape that he saw himself in a mirror for the first time. Even he does not know if it was a botched attempt at reattaching his skin, the agony of his surgery, some sort of nerve damage thanks to having his armor wired into his nervous system, or the weight of his own madness that gives him his grin, but he hates it as much as he hates himself, and has spent every day in the two years since his escape working to find a way to destroy L.A.W. while evading them as they hunt him, a constant circle of cat and mouse.

Sample RP:

Zack glared through his eternal grin, his eyes burning with hatred down at the men patrolling the dock. On one side, there was the water and the edge of the docks, on the other, a once abandoned warehouse, one still marked as nothing on the city maps. As private security walked the grounds and patrolled in armored vehicles complete with turrets, it was obvious that the building wasn't abandoned, at least not anymore. Zack sighed, preparing himself for what he was about to do.

For the millionth time, he checked the address that Liev had given him, making absolute sure that he was in the right place. Unless Liev had made a mistake, he was. He put the slip of paper away, and dropped to the ground, blending seamlessly into the night. He was too focused on his task to check if anyone was following him.

One of the guards stood off to himself, lowering his balaclava to have a cigarette. It was his last mistake. His scream was cut short by a wet slicing sound, his body crumpling in a lifeless heap, the cold ground rising up to meet him. As his partner walked forward to investigate  Zack crouched in the darkness of the night, his knife at the ready.

Zack was in his element. He lived for the sound of a blade slicing through flesh, of the stifled death rattle, to watch the life drain from the eyes of his victim. As he pulled his knife from the throat of the other guard, his grin widened and his eyes grew manic as he basked in the smell of blood. Lost in the moment, he licked the flat of his blade, closing his eyes as he savored the sanguinary flow like a noble might savor a fine taste of wine. The first patrol team down, he moved to take out the other before they checked in.

Slipping away from the corpse, he casually flicked his wrist, launching a spatter of blood from the tip of his knife out into the open. Having already memorized the pattern of the guards, Zack knew that the second team would be by in a moment. Sure enough, a duo of guards came walking along the path, towards where Zack lie in wait. One of them noticed the blood, and the two cautiously advanced forward, weapons raised.

As they entered a narrow alley between a pair of rusting cargo containers, the guard in front failed to notice his partner behind him vanish into the darkness, only turning around after hearing a wet gurgle a moment later. Looking frantically around, the guard tried in vain not to panic, to steel himself against the terror that threatened to overwhelm him.

Something caught his eye. There! At the edge of his vision! Movement! He whirled around in time to see a pair of glistening hazel eyes, filled with a mix between cruel hatred and a sadistic delight, an eerie grin, the teeth stained with blood, and a blade, dripping red and in mid swing. Zack raised a bemused eyebrow as the guard stood, clutching his throat in a vain attempt to stop the arterial spray. Quickly losing interest in the man's desperate antics, Zack landed a bone crunching kick to the guard's chest, his grin widening as he felt ribs snap beneath the assault.

After watching the guard twitch on the ground for another moment, Zack held up his blade, admiring the color as the dripping weapon glinted in the moonlight. "My my, Amy... Red is certainly your color!" He laughed to himself before stalking off towards the warehouse, where, if he was right, L.A.W. had a stockpile of information as well as several plant and animal experiments that he needed to put a stop to.
