Caroline (Done)

[HISTORY]

Caroline was originally created by Kardus as an experiment.  The goal was to see if he could create a living consciousnesses from himself.  He needed someone to maintain his pocket dimension, Athera, and keep it stable while he was away exploring different universes.  Using an A.I. robot personality as a template, Kardus created a complex personality, put it into a stationary and machine-like body, and connected it to the pocket dimension's physic network.  In short, the results were successful.  

Over time the personality changed and developed as a result of being continually connected to it's matrix and to Kardus.  She became embedded into the dimensions matrix, her character slowly changed and developed; she even formed a living soul, and Kardus gave her the name 'Caroline'.  Caroline continued to develop physically as well, undergoing two transformations before becoming the way she is now.  Her relationship with Kardus also deepened, and he now considers her to be not only support, but also his wife.  She continues to travel with Kardus wherever he goes; maintaining the pocket dimension and providing other means of support for him as they travel.

Powers:

Perfected Virtual warping: Caroline is connected to, and can thus control, the entire pocket dimension.  She is also at least partially aware of everything that goes on inside it.  Her control includes almost complete power over time, space and gravity, mater, and energy; as well as a vast control over souls and spiritual power.  She can also use her control over mater to change the dimension however she likes or to create things from it.  Here's what the pocket dimensions theme looks like:

It has a wide variety of rooms in it that are connected via portals.  

Omnipresent: Caroline possesses absolute knowledge of everything inside her reality.  

Telepathy: Caroline can telepathically communicate with any other Arraseen.  She is also immune to mind control and resistant to mental attacks.  


Weaknesses:

Caroline is confined to the pocket dimension and cannot leave it, nor can she directly influence anything outside of it.  


Skills/Strengths: Caring/Emotional support.  

Equipment:

-SAMUEL(System And Maintenance Unit, Expertise: Logistics).  SAMUEL is a system hardwired to the vital parts of the reality.  Caroline created SAMUEL to maintain the reality if anything happened to her, but currently it is being used for other purposes.  The SAMUEL unit is a stationary system inside the reality, but is capable of controlling drones used for tasks.

-Combat drones.  These cheap yet effective sentry drones are designed to provide additional military support as needed.  They are slow walkers but are capable of flying at up to 30 mph, folding in their legs as they do so.  They are capable of delivering a constant volley of bullets, rubber bullets, or blank rounds without interruption.  They can fire indefinitely due to ammo continuously being teleported to their reserves to replenish spent ammo.  These drones continuously emit a visible, red laser from their eye, and tend to be destroyed rather easily.  It's a good thing they're cheap.  Any audio and visual information is also relayed back to Caroline.

Habits/Quirks: Doing work manually rather than using her power to instantly complete tasks.  

Personality:  Very calm and pretty much NEVER shows strong emotions; but is kind and even loving around trustworthy people.  She is respectful and fair, rarely using her power to directly influence someone without their consent except to keep them from hurting themselves or someone else.

Even though its a work in progress this app would be rejected on the basis of apatite science. Not DC. If it was, too much relation to a canon character.

I'm not exactly sure I understand...

If you are talking about her being from Aperture Science, then my response would be that she's not. She is BASED OFF of a character from there, but Kardus created her himself, meaning she is original. She was never entirely like GLaDOS to begin with, and also she has changed over time, including her personality, so you might not have even been able to tell she was based off of her until I told you.

I've seen other characters on this site whose personalities are based off of other characters outside of DC, and they worked out fine. I'm not sure why Caroline wouldn't.

Kardus first got the idea for Caroline after visiting the Aperture Science multiverse and meeting GLaDOS for the first time. He never directly got involved with the reality

the turrets, Wheatly, a modified version of the morality core, and GLaDOS; and connected them to the pocket dimensions matrix. Each personality construct was given a specific task in maintaining the systems, with the GLaDOS personality at the head.


Both of those say that its literally based off the character, from that universe, which doesnt exist in DC. The closest thing to a character completely out of DC was moon's kim possible like character who had an entirely different history.

Im not asking, Im telling you that this character, as her creation currently stands would be rejected.
