That escalated quickly... (Ravager)

It was a slow night, which was saying something. Inferno had lately taken more to stopping crooks then... getting into trouble. That didn't mean he had suddenly become a hero either. He still had a reputation to maintain after all. His reputation had nothing to do with THIS particular activity. Since he met Rose, Inferno had secretly developed a... well, maybe not developed. To put it another way, she was badass in his opinion. He RARELY thinks anyone other then himself is badass. But it still remains a possibility. And with that in mind, Inferno totally wanted her to teach him some moves. Yes he had pride, but the ends justified the means. I mean, can you imagine how much more badass he would be if he could do flips and flashy martial arts moves like Ravager?

And while his original intention was that she just show him some moves and he try to copy her, SHE wanted a more hands on approach. As in they should spar. Inferno was against this idea on the grounds he didn't want to hit girls. Ravager wasn't having that, and after much 'persuasion' in the form of beating the crap out of Inferno until he finally fought back, Inferno broke his rule... just this once.

Not that it seriously mattered too much since every time he fights someone, they always seem to be faster then him. So, not like breaking his rule mattered too much anyway. "RAAAAGH! I'll hit you eventually!" Inferno growled with frustration, recklessly throwing himself at Ravager in an attempt at FINALLY landing a hit on her....

Rose stood there, cross armed and smiling and dodging the blows with rather relative ease. "You're predictable..." She said with a smile before pulling out one of her electro-katanas and jabbing him with it to send a minor electric shock through his body. The shock quite literally would probably feel more like a little bee sting to Inferno, given his size, and served mostly as a training tool.

The whole thing had started because she knew Inferno wouldn't be able to do all that she could. She was small, agile, and crafty. He was big, slow and brutish. This was just common knowledge that anyone could tell just by looking at the pair as he swung wildly and she just laughed. "Be less predictable and once you land a hit we can call it a day Tinkerbelle."

Bee stings still stung! And it may or may not have any significant effect in teaching him. Even an animal learns NOT to do something if punished enough times right? And the only reason he was being predictable was because he did NOT want to hit her and was clearly struggling against the idea. Even if he was getting frustrated over not hitting her, he didn't want to and this was probably the reason he was so predictable. I mean remember that time he tried to hit a hero in the face with a flying teabag? How's that for unpredictable?

Anyway, he already realized he'd have a better chance spamming fire in all directions, but that wouldn't teach him anything new. "I'll have you know I do my best stunts when I have something to work off of," Inferno retorted, lashing out with a roundhouse kick (one of few moves he actually knew aside from 'smash it in the face') following it up with an over headed heel strike as he flipped onto his hands as if he was trying to do a handstand. Either through frustration, possible soreness from the beating earlier, or it just wasn't his day, Inferno lost his balance a moment afterward and fell flat on his head. "Ow..." Inferno grunted, rolling back to his feet and sitting up while he rubbed his head. This was not going the way he wanted.

Rose easily dodged the two kicks thanks to a little bit of help from her precognitive visions. "You're joking, right?" Snickering, she went to help him up, not that she'd be much help in that aspect or that such a brute needed her help, but it was common courtesy to do so. With another snicker, she finally managed to keep a straight face for more than a few seconds. "I think that'll be enough. Lets turn in for now."

"Nah now I need to beat the crap out of some people to make me feel better," Inferno replied seriously. His ego was hurting, so he wanted some faces to hurt. As Inferno accepted Rose's help, the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. If Inferno had any kind of precognitive abilities, that was the only sign.

"How cute..." a voice teased from above, a voice that made Inferno tense up as he looked for where it came from. Standing on one of the nearby buildings looking over, was a figure clad in some kind of armor. Rose may deduce that the armor was most likely some kind of light power armor. Though the figure was obscured by a helmet and visor, the shape and their voice was feminine. "I guess even the mighty 'Inferno' needs help from time to time," she added mockingly.

"Look what crawled out of the gutter. You sure daddy wants you out this late sis?" Inferno retorted, clenching his fists tightly as he glared up at his sister.

"That's actually why I'm here Orion," she replied with a pause, letting the fact she used his real name bug him. "Father's been keeping tabs on you for awhile now and decided it was time for alittle reunion. Just like old times," Inferno's sister went on.

"If by old times, you mean almost put you six feet under again... bring it on!" Inferno said popping his knuckles expectantly.

"This time will be different. Father trained me, and after watching your girlfriend down there mop the floor with you, I don't think you even stand a chance," she laughed, pulling out a handful of small objects from the suit's utility belt.

"Hope you dodge as fast as your mouth Angela..." Inferno commented as he picked up a nearby trash can. It was easy to assume he was going to throw it at her.

"Here's a present from father," Angela stated unperturbed as she tossed some weird, rune covered spheres down at Rose and Inferno. Then she easily dodged the flying trashcan as the spheres exploded briefly, releasing a weird smoke each as SOMETHING came out.

With a booming roar, the smoke was cleared as a figure made of molten rock and magma stood among other odd entities. Counting the fire elemental, there was also an ice elemental, an earth elemental, and a water elemental. "Oh for fu-" Inferno began, his swearing cut off by the earth elemental as it quickly melded into the ground with one fist, making it shoot up and clock Inferno.

The fire elemental growled and lanced it's arms at Rose, sending streams of fire her way as the ice elemental howled, sending a torrent of freezing wind her way. The water elemental teamed up with the Earth Elemental, slithering after Inferno while Angela watched on with glee.

((OOC: just fyi, that suit is fire and electric proof. Plus it naturally makes her tougher so she can survive a hit from Inferno, but not by alot. Feel free to NPC the elementals xD))

Rose backed away from the elementals, and the second they attacked, she started running and climbing up the wall, steadily rising until she reached the rooftop the woman was standing on. "You can handle those, right Inferno?" she called down to him, pulling out her swords and unleashing a few kicks and swings. She didnt expect them to hit, but they'd be good to gauge her abilities.

"Yeah, no problem," Inferno deadpanned, climbing out from a pile of trash bags as the ground trembled under him. Moving on instinct and reflex, Inferno backflipped (yeah he can do those occasionally) just in time to avoid another underhanded attack from the earth elemental, angling his feet in midair and kicked off the wall. Knocking the wall down in the process, Inferno propelled himself forward in an attempt to crash through the earth elemental.

It immediately slipped back into the ground, leaving Inferno to instead plow through the water elemental as it began to form. "If I wasn't already frustrated I'd probably enjoy this fight..." Inferno grumbled as he felt something wet latch onto his ankle. Didn't take a genius to guess what was going to happen next as Inferno suddenly felt his leg pulled out from under him, knocking him off balance long enough for the earth elemental to appear and clothesline Inferno. That stung alittle he would admit.

The other two elementals now missing an opponent, turned their sights on Inferno. Obviously the fire elemental wasn't going to do much, but the ice elemental could as it sent a barrage of ice spikes down at Inferno. Rolling away, Inferno scrambled to his feet and kicked the ground at his feet in a way that it sent a small piece up as he spun on his heels and kicked it with his heel, sending it hurling into the ice elemental. Moving quickly, Inferno knew better then to stand in one place against four opponents- especially one that liked to hide in the ground.

The water elemental cut him off, attempting to engulf him. "Nope," Inferno said pushing both fists forward, sending two streams of fire into the elemental. Naturally this created steam, but it also evaporated part of the water elemental and caused it pain. "Heeeey, that might just work!" Inferno thought cunningly as he kept on the move any time he felt the ground shift.


Unlike Inferno who was a self taught brawler, Angela was properly trained. So she definitely avoided being hit before she retaliated with a stream of blue flames to put distance between them. It wasn't a cake walk, but she still managed to pull it off. Clearly Rose was unique from her perspective. Unlike Inferno who did not want to use fire on Rose, Angela did not care in the slightest. Getting alittle space between them, Angela followed up by lancing a stream of super heated electricity at her. Inferno wasn't the only pyro in the family, but Angela's was clearly at a higher level. "You're certainly different from what he picks up normally," Angela remarked offhandedly, either to distract Rose or get under her skin.

Either way, Angela then kicked off from where she stood, shooting flames from her feet to propel herself toward Rose. Half way there, she spun in midair with a flaming roundhouse kick before ducking low in a sweep. Sliding back and finishing her barrage of attacks with two streams of blue flames in an attempt to engulf her with them.

Rose dodged the first attack on reflex, relatively easily. It was always fun to fight someone with decent training every now and again. Fire? Electricity? That's so common and tacky. If anything, Rose was better at dodging super powered attacks than anything else! Leaping around and avoiding the elemental strikes, Rose took in the surroundings. There was a fence to her left, and a wall behind the girl. Good to know. Jumping over Infernos sister as she shot at her, Rose popped out a flare from her belt and pretended to stumble on the landing, placing it on the wall while she faked regaining her balance just before jumping away from the last elemental attack and onto the fence. "And you're really sloppy, but you don't see me pointing it out."

Inferno meanwhile continued to tango with his opponents, either taking hits or chasing attackers off. Not many people actually realize that Inferno can actually be quite clever when he wants to be. He wasn't always smart per-say, but he could get out of a tricky spot when he really needed to. Countering the ice elemental's barrage of ice spikes with another burst of fire, Inferno jumped over the Earth elemental as it shot up to try and uppercut him. "Hey hot head! Come and get me!" Inferno taunted, intentionally trying to rile the creature up.

It partly worked, the elemental growling as it charged at him. Keeping it and the ice elemental in sight, Inferno made a move toward the fire escape. It followed after him as Inferno leaped up, latching onto the ladder and swinging himself up onto it. The fire elemental bellowed and sent incredibly hot fire straight toward Inferno, actually hot enough to melt the steel as Inferno quickly jumped off and plowed through the fire elemental. One dow- nevermind, it just reformed. "%#!@..." Inferno rasped, feeling alittle light headed as he moved on.

The ice elemental took this opportunity to attack, releasing another ice breath at Inferno. "C'mere ice princess!" Inferno said charging through the ice breath. His body was hot, very hot, and while it SERIOUSLY hurt being in that cold, he was determined to take one down. Inferno immediately tackled the ice elemental, locking his arms around it in a bear hug while releasing fire from his hands and forcing the flames out through his fingers, Inferno quickly heated them both up until the ice elemental melted into a puddle of water around him. That was actually refreshing!

The earth elemental then shot up again, nailing Inferno in the lower back as the water elemental smacked him across the face with a watery tendril. Inferno reached down while he fell backward, his hand catching part of the earth elemental as it tried to escape. "You ain't going no where rocky!" Inferno growled, pulling the elemental out of the ground with a grunt. The water elemental attacked again with another watery tendril, instead hitting the earth elemental which Inferno was using as a shield. The fire elemental followed suit, lancing two streams of fire to engulf Inferno and the earth elemental.

Inferno started to lose his grasp on the earth elemental as it started to melt, waiting just a few seconds more before he twisted his torso and spun on his heels to hurl the melting hunk of rock upwards!

If Angela was being sloppy, then there was probably a reason behind it. Which there was as a shot suddenly rang out, a bullet zipping past Rose. Angela made a mental note to kill that sniper later for missing. It wasn't that she had planned for everything here to happen as it did, but she had clearly brought more then just some elementals. She had also brought some mercenaries, which Rose's future sense would probably kick in and predict a barrage of bullets coming from several hiding places before a barrage of bullets erupted a couple seconds later.

Angela was about to follow up with another bolt of electricity for when Rose moved (if she moved) when suddenly, some ass%#!$ threw molten slag up and cut off her line of sight to Rose...

Rose smiled and dropped down below the rain of bullets. Seriously? Mercs? Who DOES that? Smiling, she shot her grapple gun into the fence, hanging over the side of the building and hitting a button on a remote she was holding, setting off the flare on the wall, which judging from where she'd last seen that coward standing, would blast fire, sparks and gunpowder directly into her face. Looking down at Inferno who was handling his elementals. "You ok down there? I could use a gigantic meat shield that's immune to bullets up here!"

"Then call superman, cause I ain't immune to bullets!" Inferno bellowed up to her as he was both avoiding the water elemental, and throwing stuff at the fire elemental. Not having much effect in that department. He would love it if both of these things just killed eachother, which is what he was hoping for. While it didn't appear he had any kind of strategy, he was actually trying to get the two remaining elementals to get closer together. Then he'd just grab onto what little of the fire elemental was solid and then tackle the water elemental with it. Sounded like a crazy but ingenius plan!


Angela was atleast surprised by the flare, having been distracted by that molten slag Inferno through and having to avoid it getting on her but fortunately, the visor of her helmet was specially designed for bright flashes. It was actually for Inferno since it was easy to tell he loved blowing things up and making bright flashes. In either case, Rose was no longer on the roof. "Clever but not clever enough," Angela said with a roundhouse kick, releasing a stream of blue fire to weaken the fence. Wasn't able to completely melt the fence keeping Rose up, but it was melting slightly and Rose's weight might snap one of the links off.

There was movement from the shadows, the mercenaries apparently not as well equipped as Angela and thus, temporarily blinded by the flare.

Rose heard the clang of weapons fall to the ground and smiled. They obviously weren't ready for stuff like that! Turning on her thermal imaging system on her mask, she swung herself into the shadows and jumped from Merc to Merc, sticking them with he electro katanas and hanging them from ledges. So that was what it felt like to be Batman. Pretty badass. Jumping back into the makeshift ring with her extended staff, she smiled. "Well now, until your brother is done with those elementals, it's just us. So lets have some girl time, shall we?"
