Nothing better to do (open)

Miley stands in the Evidence room with her arms crossed looking at some of the Evidence that are just laying around but she never goes up to any of them. Aeon the AI of the tower had tried talking to her multiple times but Miley never really responded she had just stood there like she was looking at the Evidence for no real reason except for there was nothing really to do today. Crime rate was slow today and the crimes that were up were instantly taken care of by so passing by heroes that seem to be all over Jump city. Miley didn't really have anything to do other than patrol but the local hero took care of that for her so the only thing she could do right now is just wonder around the tower or in thiscase stare at random Evidence.

Hotwire wanted to do some looking... he needed to know more about that gang that had gotten the drop on him a month before. He walked into the evidnce room and began looking through files. There were so many on investigations on his vanishing he didn't have the time to read them all there. As he left with a stuffed folder, he ran into Miley, the pyromancer he had met a few days before.

"Oh, hey Miley, what brings you to the evidence lockers?"

Miley turns to see hotwire shrugging with her arms crossed.

”Oh hello Hotwire it is good to see you again…. I couldn’t find anything to do really so I figured I could take a look around the tower”

Miley looks around then back to hotwire

”I am assuming this room is where you hold your found clues for unsolved problems?”

"Yeah. That and the evidence for all of our solved cases." Hotwire said putting the documents on the table. One of the papers came loose and flitted to the ground.

It was a newspaper article. Not a big headliner, but definately a sub-article.

It read: "Titan Hotwire Declared Dead Officially. Titans blame Benaci Gang for their loss.

Miley sees the newspaper and picks it up.

"feel free to no reply to this but... how did you come back from the dead?"

Miley says handing Hotwire the newspaper.

"Well I wasn't dead... this gang here..." Hotwire explained pointing to the gang name.

"Captured me and held me captive for a year. After six months the Titans officially declared me KIA. About a year after I went missing I found a way to get a message out, and a rescue party came."

Miley frowns.

"no i mean after that how did you died."

Oh... that... it's kinda... well..." Hotwire said looking down. He really didn't want to remember his time dead... even if they got him his new powers.

"No... I have to face it sooner or later."

He sighed for a moment before telling his tale.

"A while back... there was this girl. Claira. I loved her a lot, but before I could ask her out, I was kidnapped by that gang. By the time I got back, I learned she had died. When I went to visit her, the dead were rising from their graves. I fought her with all my might..."

He sighed as he remember the most painful... and last moments of his life.

"But the girl I had loved killed me. The circumstances I died under gave me special powers. But I think I told you that. When the dead were defeated for good, a different force brought me back to life... and beefed my powers up 10 fold."

"You better believe it."

He picked up the file and began to walk away.

"Thanks for listening Miley... I feel much better."

With that hotwire left, thinking to himself.

'AKOW... new powers... good friends... things aren't too bad.'

Miley smiles glad she could make hotwire feel better, at least she managed to actually help someone today.

"Any time."

and with that miley watched hotwire leave.
