Saga of the Seven Rings - Opening Post - ''Discovery''

Raith lay on the ground angrier than ever but had sorta learned from his mistakes. No more rushing in, assess the situation and then strike. He thought to himself. This time on the ground was also a wake up call for Raith ,he'd been a hero for maby a month now but had only faced street thugs these guys were obiusly really tough and did'nt mind showing off. He stagered up and flew as close to the other titans as possible. It was obivous the titans were on the deffence at this point so Raith figured he'd be the counter attack. Hey scap metal! He yelled at Krious as fire built in his hands. A pice of metal gets caut between fire and ice... Who wins?! He put his hands out and a large fire storm was unleashed.

His blow was met with a flash of an alien and a breeze of wind. Krious never expected to hit but this wasn’t what he had anticipated either. Within seconds the alien had gotten Scope to safety and had returned to take offensive actions against him and Kyte. He was fast, too fast, his retinal enhancers could only keep up if the aliens movements consisted of a lot of twists and turns. There was barely enough time to react to any of the incoming blows, and not even a chance at counterattacking. Some blows were blocked, some hit the metal and some left painful slashes on his chest. Krious tried to find a way to counter this speed but he needed time to observe and that meant getting hit. He wouldn’t outrun this with teleportation, he could only do that so much. This speedster was much less restricted and would surely catch up with him after the few teleports he could make in a row, leaving him without energy and even more of a target. While the hit and run was effective, it did seem this form of Ben’s aliens didn’t possess much strength and he simply needed to outlast him.

Outlasting was something he could do so for now he focused on dealing with the strikes at his non-metallic body parts, trusting the others to be able to withstand whatever he threw at them. The anger it brought forth only served to strengthen the darkforce coursing through his body, pushing it to the limit. Eventually the watch would run out again and leave him wide open, a weakness of such significance that the effectiveness of any of Ben’s alien forms diminished against someone who could withstand them.

A few strikes later and the answer was practically handed to him on a silver platter. The dark angelic hero was back in action and threw a firestorm at his back, the element of surprise ruined by his useless comment. Before it reached him he dashed forward following the trajectory of the fire, the storm still moving in closer behind him up to the point he could feel its heat burning at his back. His speed was far inferior to that of the speeding alien, but bursts of speed like this could reach up to 80 km/h. The danger the fire presented would even make the speedster think twice about attacking him with the added chance of being consumed by the fire close behind him. The straight path he moved on didn’t directly get him to the two other titans, whom he intended to harm this time, but he would deviate from it with a teleport at the last possible moment. Too bad the first would pass them by. Should the speedster try to attack him he’d do so straight away. Both his blades were ready to strike at both the targets and while he didn’t expect Kyte to help him, since he didn’t do so either, the chance was still there.

Emblem coughed, hopefully for the last time, as he got closer and closer to the top. This had taken long enough. His body was functioning again, his fiery powers were back and his anger had multiplied. Yet getting out of this cave had been more of a problem then he had ever imagined. He was lucky he was still alive, in any case.

As Emblem met the top layer, he noticed he could not easily move through it. The ground was stacked so that much of the force leaning aupon it. Simply moving it would result in all that gravitational force being pressed upon him. He did not want to fall. The only clear way for Emblem to move through was to overpower the pressing forces and blast it all away from his path.

..and he did just that. Emblem pulled back his right fist, and it promptly lit itself on fire. Power brimming as it collected in that one limb. With a big swing, the pyromancer slammed the ground above him. Not waiting for a follow-up, he moved his hand back again and slammed the ground even harder. Not onyl was any cover of stealth done, Emblem went into overdrive and opened the palm of his hand, shooting a jet up flame up. With a roar of anger, the living flame pushed himself up to the surface.

What he saw had been beyond his expectations. Krious was alive and kicking. He apparently had help..another demon. Emblem grinned. Back form the dead and he was already replaced. Well, replaced...his position was never vacated. Krious had maybe just found a use for this demon, for now.

Emblem witnessed Raith launch a firestorm at Krious. It was just when he got above the ground. In the daylight, Emblem looked even worse from what he had observed below ground. His black sleeveless shirt was completely torn asunder, small peaces hanging from his pants. His chest had fresh scars and marks.

Emblem's face however, was even worse. His white hair now hung loose, even further as his braided ponytail had been unwinded too much. His left eye however, was closed and had a lot of dried up blood around it. Demonic influence was seen all around his body, as small black and purple lines were seen around most scars. It was how his demon had fixed his physical form.

Emblem spread his hands as far as he could, igniting them, and twirled them around. The temperature around the park seemed to rise a little, but he didn't mind. His cover had already been blown when he resurfaced. Emblem spinned around once and threw all the fires at Raith. As it left his hand, the fire culminated into a large firestorm of it's own, a tornade of flames and heat moving straight for Raith. It reached maximum potential as Emblem muttered the words of the incantation

''Brand och Skydrag, bränna!''

Emblem's goal was to show the Titans he was not dead yet. Whilst they had thwarted their original goal of obtaining the artifacts of power, they would have to learn a pyromancer's flame is not easily extinguished. Emblem knew that he would have to move away though. Krious would already realize the same. The damage done to him by Necatii was extensive. Undeniably due to his markings, Emblem was weakened. He would never show it, hiding his scarred appearance with prodigal pyromancy.

Unless Krious was in for the kill, in which case Emblem would always stay, he preferred a tactical retreat. He was sure his partner would think likewise. Still a pity they did not get to the artifacts, but this story wasn't over yet..

OT: To keep this going lets just say Ben kept his focus on Kyte after Krious's telport and Emblems rise. So you guys just can keep rping until he returns and responds to Ben. They have bad blood anyway.

Grace formed an ice canon ball and was about to send it hurtling towards Krious when a plume of fire broke through the ground. What was that?

Emblem, the Hellbound Battlemage appeared, having returned from the abyss. Grace could sense his demonic power radiating off of him. She faltered as she saw him create a tornado of fire and send it twisting towards Raith.

This fire-mage was way too powerful for Grace to beat. Fire was her weakness, and Emblem was an inferno. All of her ice would melt, just as it had down in the caverns.

Grace finally sent her ice canon ball hurling towards Krious. She then pressed her hands to the ground and froze a baseball-sized stone in ice. Sure, the ice would melt when it got close to Emblem, but the stone would keep going. Grace shot the ice-covered stone at Emblem at a high speed.

Something made the ground erupt behind him and that violent act was enough to make Krious break off and get clear of the fire behind him. Perhaps the winged angel had something new to throw at him, but something about this felt familiar, it felt like Emblem. As he cleared the fire by banking to his left he took a quick look at the second crater in the ground. There he was, standing next to his exit and muttering his usual nonsense followed by a stream of fire flowing from his hands. He knew Emblem would not have been killed so easily, but with that Reaper down there and these Titans nearby he didn't really get a chance to investigate. He didn't look nearly as alive as he was this morning though.

Grace had noticed his pause and threw a ball of ice his way followed by one directed towards Emblem. Even if they could manage to prolong this fight it didn't really serve a purpose anymore. Luckily he had prepared for an offensive move and still had a full charge left. An instant later he appeared next to his ally through a teleport, with one sword charged and ready to go. The ball of ice quickly closed in and was met with a swift vertical strike combined with a release of darkforce. The ball was sliced in half before being shattered into a million pieces thanks to the blast of energy that the sword released. There was a stone hidden in there, a clever move and it might just have worked if there were more than one.

“I was wondering if you were going to show up again. Let’s get out of here.”

He was glad his friend was okay, even if he didn’t say so. Without him his life would become unnecessarily more complicated. Besides, now that their goal was reached he could use the knowledge Emblem possessed, as long as that demon stayed out of the picture. Krious had the energy left for a single teleport for the two of them and before any more attacks came their way he used it all to get as far away as he possibly could.
