| No no no, ACTA is something else. It's more aimed against imitation products (Think look-a-like Apple products and that sort of thing). It could possibly get you in trouble for pirating books/movies/games etc but it should not be a threat to this site. (And at least not DNS-block it)
It also has to pass through the European Union, which means any country that is a member of that needs to pass it. This will probably take a while, close to year at least. There is just as much, if not more opposition to this compared to SOPA. (Some political parties in my country already strongly oppose it) | |

| That video explains it pretty nicely. Basically this sucks, but more in a privacy violation kind of way. I don't think this has a chance to get through since it goes against just about anything our societies stand for.
Near the end of the video they use a set of words I can very much relate to. The people who sign this probably don't even know what they are dealing with. They don't know how it works and why their rules have a far greater impact than intended. This is sadly true on far more occasions nowadays...
