Varati can fly at speeds up to 200mph, and can lift up to 5 tons. She also has telepathic resistance and enhanced hearing and sight.

Abilities
Being a Thanagarian, especially one trained for spec ops in the military, Vatari is exceptionally strong, even for Thanagarians. She can also communicate with birds.

Physical Weaknesses
Varati's wings are typically her weakspot, as she can't really keep them armored without inhibiting her ability to fly.


Mental Weaknesses
Claustrophobia is pretty common among Thanagarians, being a race that enjoys soaring through the skies, but some have it worse than others. Especially when they get caught in a cave-in underground, and are trapped for 3 days until eventually cutting their leg off to escape.

Equipment
Varati always keeps on her person her pair of Thanagarian blaster pistols, and a small Nth metal knife in her boot. She also owns a suit of modified Thanagarian armor, which has Nth metal plating on the chest and helmet, Nth metal spikes on the gauntlets, a retractable Nth metal blade on the fists, and a grappling hook launcher on the bottoms of the wrists. She also owns a small ship which has a makeshift holding cell and a munitions closet, containing extra ammunition, a Thanagarian sniper rifle, several lowgrade explosive devices, and a small wooden chest with a few personal belongings in it. When not in armor, she carries an Nth metal mace, as is standard Thanagarian military issue.



Personality
Varati generally likes to be doing something. She doesn't like to sit around and do nothing, and gets impatient fairly quickly. She's a quick thinker and can make sound decisions on her feet, but sitting around and trying to think of something often gets her nowhere, and generally leads to her rushing in.
Being a Thanagarian, combat and violence come fairly naturally to Varati. She will never back down from a physical challenge, and will sometimes start a fight to get her blood pumping. However, she will not target innocent civilians.

History
Varati was born and raised on Thanagar among the Downsiders, living in the slums with the aliens imported from conquered worlds. At age 10, she decided to try to join the military to help her parents. A general named Krandor Gral took her under her wing, and trained her until she was old enough to actually serve.

Training directly under Krandor, Varati was trained to perform special ops missions, usually involving going behind enemy lines and sabatoging or taking out specific targets. On a mission to quell a rebellion on a conquered planet, Varati and her squad were sent into an underground tunnel. Due to the ongoing battle overhead, the tunnel began to collapse. Varati's squad made it out, but she wasn't so lucky. She was trapped under the rubble, her leg caught. For 3 days she remained trapped there, until she finally cut off her own leg, stopping the bleeding with her advanced medical tech. She managed to smuggle herself onboard one of the natives' ships, and began her new life, assumed KIA by her people.

Varati managed to get herself to a medical facility, and get a fairly crude prosthetic for her leg with the last few credits she had. Not wanting to sell her Thanagarian armor, she opted to get a job, and worked in a fast food joint on a small moon for 2 years, travelling to planets and hunting to provide meat. The owner took pity on her, and helped her save up to buy her own ship, albeit small, with the promise that she would return whenever she was in the area.

With Thanagarian blood coursing through her veins, Varati felt the need for combat. So, she became a bounty hunter. With her Thanagarian physiology, Nth metal equipment, and military training, she was fairly good at it. Then, one day, she hunted down a bounty to a little blue planet called Earth...
