HAHA! You thought this was something to dow tih Animal Crossing. But it was I, Mega!
So first, DOMA's gone. How you might ask? Well through a combination of Robin and Weaver have combined enough evidence to warrant it. Robin got the evidence from a lab he, Tesla and Rapture found. Weaver found hers from a raid on STAR Labs with Red X and Rapture. In addition, Weaver and her eldest sister (not Ally but who is mayor of the city) were already in the early stages of lobbying for DOMA's removal, which avalanched once the evidence gathered was brought to light. When it did, public outrages ensued, and both had a PR Nightmare. So DOMA has been dismantled, STAR Labs which had been backing DOMA, has also come under fire for them being the source of the evidence. Damage control was performed, people being sacked and scapegoatted, everything has returned to some degree of normalcy.
Honorable Batgirl mention
Thanks to the off-screen work of Batgirl and Robin (the idea to do a thread seemed dull to do) for spelunking, finding and choosing The Titans' temporary homebase during DOMA's occupation.
EXCEPT that California is still snowing unusually. No, I'm not removing that myself. SuFfEr.
Next on the list is condensing and addressing some of the issues mentioned in the discord.
Inactivity/Incentive: A majority of this seems to just be that no one wants to post for personal reasons. Moodswings, not knowing what's going on and not asking, and losing muse basically. That's why we asked for feedback. But unfortunately we can't really do anything about those things.
This isn't DnD where one person is trying to narrate a single story for a party to take part in. We are not obligated to create weekly events, and some of you know of the things I've done and tried to help with before people dropped out of them. For those of you not in the know, Ninja tried to do a Halloween thing which I helped setup. Then I tried to do a race with aliens and IN CHARACTER rewards.
Basically, I am not going to be trying to come up with fun or interesting events if nobody is going to be posting in them. Meanwhile, players are still free to do their own little events and threads- that's what RPing is, not waiting around for Staff to toss you a bone.
So tldr for that is: activity has been much too low for staff to want to make events, and we can't force people to post. If people were posting and rping on their own without needing our attention, we'd be cool with making events. But currently with the trend going on now, we're not going to because we feel like it'd be a huge waste of time and effort when no one is posting as it is.
This is still the big issue for me, and while there are other points to go over this is the one I personally want everyone to keep in mind. Activity is a two-way street, and affects everyone- it really bothers some of us who put the time and effort into plotting, making characters, and trying to get things going only to have them consistently get trapped in Limbo because people stopped posting. It's why I kept to 1 thread at a time until recently, and have been trying to finish them as quickly as possible to avoid the other people dropping out.
And I can say from personal experience for one of you, that having one other player in a thread with you does not guarantee they won't drop out. Two threads with the same one person, have both died recently.
So in conclusion to this before we start addressing the other points, is that... well, just start rping. If you wanna do stuff, then grab a friend and force them at gunpoint to play with you if you have to. We don't know what the original spark that led to you making the characters you have, only you do. So if people start rping more actively again, we can definitely look into trying to do more staff-generated events.
