Powers Batman's Training - As a member of Batman's inner circle, Barbara has trained under him for years, and as such has honed her body to become a lethal weapon.
- Strength - Batgirl has exhibited several times that she is much stronger than most humans. With some effort, she can bend solid steel. She can crack firearms over her knee without effort, much like the man who trained her. In terms of striking power, she's able to topple massive foes like Bane, meaning her strikes can put out a half a ton of force on her best day. Given recent circumstances however, it's more reasonable to say her strikes are around a third of a ton in terms of striking power.
- Endurance - "I've been through hell already. What can you possibly do to me?" - Batgirl has survived some awful things. She's been shot, stabbed, abused, and gone for long periods of time without any medical treatment, yet she survived. She's a tough cookie.
- Agility - Batgirl is fast. In fact, it's pretty well documented that she's one of the faster members of the bat family. She can dodge automatic fire rather easily from a distance, and she's quick enough to react to single shots at extremely close range. And she's only made sure to be that much more cautious ever since.
- Speed - Like the others in the family, Batgirl can move fast when she needs to, keeping up with automobiles for brief periods of time, and running at a top speed of 24 mph when she's sprinting.
- Detective Skill - Batgirl was always the best of Batman's proteges when it came to investigative skills. She adapted quickly to the dark knight's course of logic, and is almost equivalent to him in terms of deductive thought. This makes her extremely adept at studying how others fight, tracking people without the aid of technology, and even adapting in the middle of combat, simply by analyzing the indents her strikes make in her enemies.

Physical Weaknesses Neural Implant
Barbara is mostlly up and walking thanks to an experimental surgery, which was of course paid for by Wayne money. Taking the form of an implant at the back of her brain, this node interacts with the cybernetics in her legs, allowing her to regain movement, despite the missing portion of her spine. Of course, if this implant were removed or damaged, it would render her crippled again until it was repaired. And that's ignoring the possibility of brain damage.
Mental WeaknessesImpulsive - Batgirl has a tendency to dive into a situation when she is tested. If someone upsets her or challenges her directly, she will respond. She will always respond, unless you physically hold her back.
Ankylophobia - Understandably, Batgirl currently suffers from Ankylophobia, or a fear of the inability to move or feel one's joints.
EquipmentThe Batgirl Suit
Batgirl's suit is made from a durable titanium polymer armor, kevlar, and nomex. This armor thus makes Batgirl mostly safe from bullets, fire, and electrifying weapons. Unfortunately, this armor can be cut rather easily, if you know where the hidden plates of armor are. And that gets you to the squishy filling. The most heavily fortified part of this armor is the yellow bat symbol on her chest. It is designed this way to draw attention to the symbol, thus drawing fire and neutralizing the threat.
The Batrope
An updated version of Batman's grapple gun, Barbara has improved the rope used in the grapple gun, making it more difficult to slash. Only the most powerful blades are now capable of slashing this line.
Bat Talons
Batgirl wields two retractable blades in the gauntlets of her suits, which she can use to slash through steel like a hot knife through butter. Each blade is 3 inches long, to ensure they fit comfortably while retracted.
Cowl Lenses
Batgirl's cowl includes the option of covering her eyes with a thin yellow visor, which she refers to as the cowl lenses. Barbara's lenses are able to give her thermal vision, a microscopic lens, night vision lenses, and a forensic lens, allowing her to quickly scan and document forensic evidence.
Electro-Gauntlets
Having spent so much time in a wheelchair, Barbara of course took the time to improve her suit. After using a tazer to protect herself during a raid on Wayne manor, Babs got the brilliant idea to incorporate it into the gloves of her suit. By pressing a button on her belt, she can electrify her gauntlets, adding a minor, passifying electric shock to each strike she makes.
Utility Belt
A yellow belt built into the waist of Barbara's suit with several pouches and containers, containing all of her tools for fighting crime. Well. Most of them.
- Wingdings - Primarily used as a razor sharp boomerang shuriken, Batgirl has used these similar to a pocket knife in the past as well. These come in a standard variant and an explosive variant, which can unleash a small, controlled explosion capable of breaking down sections of walls or deal a hefty blow to a criminal. These explosive wingdings can be detonated on impact, remotely, or on a timer.
- Smoke Pellets - Simple, but effective. Small tablets that burst into black smoke, covering a wide area.
- Glue Grenades - Babs' personal recipe, these bombs explode on impact to coat the surface they hit in an incredibly sticky substance, binding most beings without super strength.
- Bolas
- Lockpicks (And one she keeps in the lining of her cape)
- Trackers
- Collapsing Staff/Eskrima Sticks
- Cryptographic Sequencer - A small device capable able bypass security consoles, track signals, and listen in on radio broadcasts (both private and public.) This device primarily uses Barbara's backdoor into Wayne Enterprises' tech and security department, which tend to be standard issue from personal use to government use for their renowned reliability. Of course, Barbara can use her own finesse to use it to hack most other electronics as well.
«««CEREBRAL PROFILE»»»
PersonalityBarbara is best described as an excitable scholar. She likes to learn, study, and adapt. Being Batgirl just added something else to her never ending schedule that she could master. She throws out quips while fighting crime, unlike some of the other members of her crime fighting family, taking it more as something that should be enjoyed while you can.
Of course, this brings us to the very obvious chip on her shoulder. Any time Batman or one of her allies tells her to leave something alone, she never will. She takes it as a personal challenge. If others think I can't do something, I have to. The time she spent in her wheelchair only magnified this enormous flaw. She feels she spent too long on the shelf, and fosters an immense hatred for a particular clown nowadays.
«««PERSONAL BACKGROUND»»»
Family Members: Jim Gordon (Father); Barbara Eileen (mother); Jimmy Jr. (Brother); Bruce Wayne (Trainer, viewed as a second father); Dick Grayson (Viewed as a little brother)
Place of Origin: Gotham City
History Barbara started life as an extremely bright young girl. She not only surpassed her fellow students, but set a new bar nationally in everything she set her mind to. When she was 9 years old, The Batman debuted in Gotham City, and that immediately made an impact on the young Barbara. She was infatuated at the idea of the masked vigilante, and she 'convinced' her father to begin enrolling her in martial arts teachings, as well as teach her whatever he knew. Albeit hesitantly, Jim agreed to let the girl study. It's not like she'd actually do anything dangerous with it, right?
Well, she did, to put it bluntly. The girl advanced through her studies, both academically and physically. Gifted with her photographic memory, Barbara graduated high school early at the age of 14, and proceeded to dedicate herself fully to getting a meeting with her idol. And what better way than to beat him to the scene of the crime? It was, of course, stupid. But the young Barbara hacked her way into the communications used by the villain Killer Moth, and found out about a raid on Wayne Manor during one of the billionaire's fancy parties. They'd plan to take Bruce hostage, and extort the man for all he was worth. Surely that would draw the Batman's ire! And if she had already stopped the villains...well...
Barbara made her way to the party wearing a very crude rendition of a Batgirl costume, sneaking into the building through an open third floor window, and monitoring the party from above. Even in that time, watching Bruce, he seemed to be aware of her presence. And when Killer Moth broke in and ruined the party, Bruce was calm, allowing the villains to walk him into his study if the others would be let go.
Barbara took that opportunity to make her way downstairs, using the exterior of the house. She broke in through the window of Bruce's study, and if she had been rescuing anyone else, she would have gotten herself killed, easily. Bruce however was adept, and began to eliminate threats left right and center, protecting Barbara while she attempted to help him fight. When the dust settled, Bruce raised his eyebrow at the girl, whose mask had come undone in all the fighting. And he cracked a small smile.
"Nice work...Batgirl." He muttered and shooed her out the window, explaining that he'd clean this up and try to brush this under the rug with her father.
To this day, as far as Barbara is aware, her father never knew what transpired that night. And that made a lot more sense, once Batman confronted her the following night about wearing his symbol. The Batman told her that to wear his symbol, one had to be truly dedicated to their craft. To eliminating crime, and to training under him. And that changed Barbara's life forever.
She began training with Batman and Robin, getting to know them primarily as Bruce and Dick, her two best friends and closest confidants in the world. But of course, when there are three people this close in this line of work, eventually it catches up to someone. And it seemed like it would be Barbara. Their most dangerous nemesis, the Joker, had decided to make an example of Barbara's father, making her civilian identity his target.
She received a knock at the door, and got up expecting a pizza. When she opened it, her ears rang. She felt the blood flowing from her abdomen freely, and she couldn't feel her legs. The 17 year old Barbara Gordon was crippled, and she assumed she would never recover. Terrible things happened in that apartment, and she gave up on fighting crime physically that day. She simply couldn't, physically. But she would transition to a supportive role for Batman, as Oracle.
Oracle was a technological genius, and let Babs strain her immensely impressive mental muscles, rather than her physical ones. She was invaluable to Batman and Robin in her new role, but she always felt something was missing. That personal touch of doing something yourself.
So with Dick gone now, and Bruce grieving the pain that had become of all his proteges, she found herself in an interesting position. Wayne Enterprises had been developing some interesting new tech. Something that might give Barbara back the use of her legs. Bruce told her he would fund her surgery, and he only hoped it would begin to make ammends for what had happened to her.
Of course, Barbara accepted immediately, embracing Bruce and telling him she could never blame him for what happened to her. And he couldn't blame himself for what had happened to the others, either.
Slowly but surely, Barbara began rehabing after her surgery. Her upper body was still in great shape, but her legs would need work. And 6 months later, she was off the shelf. In theory. Bruce was understandably hesitant about having her back on the street, and would try to keep her out of it. But...that only works for so long with someone like Barbara Gordon.
