PostSubject: Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open]   Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open] Icon_minitimeTue Aug 06, 2019 11:22 am

It was early in the evening when The Titans got their first call to action since the prison break. None of them had much luck trying to track any of the escaped criminals. Even the lowliest like Dr. Light seemed to just be out of their reach, and they all started to worry that they had already gotten organized. But Robin was more worried that their enemies had fallen into line with this "Fasilli" character and were being hidden until the right moment. This call to action may be the first of many to come, and they'd all have to be on their guard if any of their enemies were being led by Fasilli. Regardless of who was calling the shots or anything else, they still had a job to do and were on their way to the scene. It seemed pretty standard, it was a break in at one of the banks. Maybe he had been worried for nothing and their enemies hadn't all rallied under a single banner.

Robin was currently on his R-cycle speeding toward their destination, and had yet to encounter any problems to make him think otherwise. "Everyone clear on their ends?" Robin spoke into his helmet's communicator. While not split up, the titans were spread out to avoid being all caught by surprise. And they were still close enough to where one of them could go help the others if someone tried to pick them off. Him and Cyborg had taken the ground, with the girls taking to the skies.

"Everything's good here Robin," Cyborg's voice spoke up.

"It is the clear skies up here too," Starfire chimed in. As everyone checked in, Robin was starting to hope that maybe this break in was just one of their many enemies just strying to get started. He'd know more once they actually got there.

And after a short drive later, they'd all arrive outside the bank in question. Whoever had broken in, didn't even bother being subtle based on the fact the front was totally smashed through. Once everyone had arrived, Robin signaled that they were going in quietly and took point. Making his way inside, Robin followed a trail of guards sprawled out unconscious all over the place toward the large vault in the back with voices barely audible ebbing from inside. Robin slipped in quietly and checked to see who they were dealing with.

"Hurry up you guys! The titans will be here any second!"
The high-pitched and nasally voice of Gizmo exclaimed. The Hive 5? That was sort of a relief.

"Sir! Working as fast as I can, sir!" Private Hive acknowledged.

Robin silently moved position, moving in with flashbangs in his hand. He waited for just the right moment, and then lobbed them into the midst of the group before darting back behind cover. The darkened vault room lit up with consecutive bursts alongside Gizmo and co. screaming in surprise and agony. "TITANS GO!" Robin yelled moving into action.

"CRUD! I CAN'T SEE! AAAH!"

"Eye got you Giz!" See-more deadpanned, switching his helmet and firing off a sweeping laser at the titans on the ground. This was followed by a blind and furious Mammoth barreling towar Robin with a downward punch. Robin agilely jumped over the laser, and easily flipped over Mammoth. Slapping a disc onto his back, Robin sprang off of Mammoth as the disc released an electrical shock into his body. Leaving the still conscious but hurt Mammoth behind, Robin drew his bo-staff and prepared himself as the other members of the HIVE 5 rallied against him and the others.

PostSubject: Re: Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open]   Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open] Icon_minitimeTue Aug 06, 2019 12:10 pm

Raven flied close to Starfire, knowing well her position in a formation.

It was another emergency at the Bank. With how many people were trying to rob the First National during the last week made the witch-girl wonder why did these people even bother opening banks in such a ... weirdness-infested town. Nevertheless, it was their job to keep things safe and put criminals behind bars. With how many escaped, the Titans had their work cut out for them.

She was quiet. More so than usual, in the past few days. Even now, as they made it to the scene of the crime, her mind seemed to be in thought.

The Hive Five. Or... Four? Six? It was hard to tell, with how different the roster was every time. Yet ravens had a long memory. And Raven, of all people, remembered how some of these folks kicked them out of their home the first time they run into each other. Caught by surprise, sure. Fought them back, sure. Got used to fighting these guys, maybe. But underestimating them? Not a chance. Nobody will lay their filthy hands on her stash of blue cloaks again.

Once they arrived at the bank, one could see a giant hole blasted in the wall, and some movement in the darkness which was the vault, pried open. Robin, Cyborg, and BB all charged in, with the girls close behind, but with some distance, still. Starfire, no doubt, would be eager to join the fray. Raven put a hand on her shoulder, preventing a potential dash.

"Watch my back a bit. I have a feeling..."

With that, and hopefully with Starfire staying close, Raven gathered power, hands and eyes glowing in that eerie black light. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!"

Upon her command, the shelves around the vault would turn black and shake from the pressure applied to them, before being forcefully pulled out and flung from all sides towards the Hive Five still standing there, catching them in a proverbial crossfire of shelves, valuables, and junk.

PostSubject: Re: Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open]   Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open] Icon_minitimeTue Aug 06, 2019 12:40 pm

After Robin made an opening, a blue beam from Cyborg's cannon would crash into the Meta-brute's shoulder and send him spinning around off balance just before a green ram sent him flying. Private Hive managed to recover from the initial flash bangs first only to suddenly be put on the defensive as shelves popped open, their contents hurling at him and the others like impromptu projectiles. See-more was then suddenly enshrouded by a familiar black cloak, reappearing on a higher level to keep out of the crossfire. The various Billies had also been caught out by Robin's flashbangs and were now being hit from all sides from Raven.

Speaking of, Kyd Wykyd would after moving See-More emerge from above Raven. Throwing a barrage of kicks and punches her way before quickly darting away with his cloak.

Meanwhile Gizmo took to the air with his jet-pack and started pushing buttons on the little controller he always used to control his gadgets. "Crudbuffing snotdrizzling..." Gizmo grumbled as he released a barrage of missles that didn't need him to be able to see clearly. A green beam of energy lanced through the air and managed to take care of most of them as Starfire swooped in with a double handed strike. Gizmo while having trouble seeing, could still see the glowing green eyes from a mile away and took evasive actions.

Back on the ground dodged and rolled around the few missles that got by Starfire, also dodging the vault contents flying around as he set about taking out each of the Billies before getting to Pvt.Hive. Robin swung his staff upward, being parried by Pvt's shield. Pvt returned the attack with a swipe and shoulder charge that Robin rolled around, throwing bolas at Pvt's feet, and successfully tripped him while he was running. A familiar roar was Robin's only warning that Mammoth was back on his feet, and he was right. The Superhuman brute barreled straight toward him, intent on pounding him into the ground if not for a green beast catching him from the side with a shoulder charge.

See-more with his height advantage, switched the eye on his helmet and began releasing eye shaped bubbles in a wide spread pattern that Gizmo managed to slip through, leaving Starfire cut off for a moment to avoid getting trapped in one of them. See-more then fired a laser off at Starfire while Gizmo looped back with a barrage of energy shoots, weeving around Cyborg's cannon fire.

Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open]   Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open] Icon_minitimeTue Aug 06, 2019 2:16 pm

The fight erupted on the first floor of the bank building.

It was chaotic and lacked any structure or strategy. Things were flung, rays were shot, and punches were thrown, with groans and moans from hits landing. While the boys fought it out, Raven remained in the backline and used her magics to make the lives of everyone inside a living hell. It was not gone unnoticed, as the teleporting creep attacked from above!

Fortunately, it was accounted for.

"You will not harm my friends!" - Starfire sprung into action and protected Raven from the onslaught of punches and kicks, forcing Kid Wykkid to retreat into shadows, before the two of them had to avoid Seemore. While Starfire maneuvered through the air, to avoid the eye-bubbles, Raven darted into the darkness of the bank, closer to the fray. She had to help the others take down more of Hive Five, to create a localized advantage. Raven soon saw a target of opportunity in Private Hive. The weakest of the bunch, in her opinion. And busy fighting Robin too. Skulking in the shadows, she murmured her spell.

"Azarath, Metrion... Zinthos..."

At that moment, a black hand would reach up from the ground, and immobilize the Private, if successful. After giving Robin hitting that ugly mug a few times, it would drag the poor guy beneath, into the bank's basement, where it would throw him against the floor. Hopefully, that would keep him busy, trying to find his way through a closed door, and back upstairs.

PostSubject: Re: Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open]   Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open] Icon_minitimeTue Aug 06, 2019 2:56 pm

Robin took this time to get to the upper floor to try and deal with See-more, grappling up and landing to his side. Kyd Wykyd emerged again, throwing a flurry of attacks that Robin easily parried before sweeping his legs. Wykyd wrapped himself in his cloak and seemed to phase through the floor just as See-more turned his sights on Robin and fired an eye beam. But Robin was back on the move, twisting his body around and springing off a wall toward him. See-more twisted the dial on the side of his helmet and threw up a shield before a flying kick connected. Wykyd then came back, trying to catch Robin off guard.

This wasn't a great spot to be in as Robin had to defend himself again, getting some breathing room from the two as See-more launched some more bubbles. Robin held a disc behind his back as Kyd lounged forward, ducking under a kick and lobbing the disc off to the side of See-more. Robin counter attacked Kyd, jabbing the bo-staff to try and force him back before the explosive disc exploded behind See-more and sent him flying into Kyd. Robin then used the distraction to roundhouse kick both against the wall.

Billy seemed to get back to his feet and started multiplying, Gizmo likewise multiplying and flying around more erratically as the mob split up and charged toward everyone on the ground. Mammoth and Beastboy continued having a battle of brawn, eventually ending with Mammoth getting the upperhand and sending the changeling crashing into Cyborg. Mammoth leaped toward Starfire, trying to volleyball spike her into the ground.

After tying up the other two, Robin was about to jump back down into the fray when suddenly... the center of the ground floor erupted with a dark portal akin to the ones Raven utilized. Several figures emerged, one of which was Pvt.Hive. They joined the mob of Billies and Gizmo holograms alongside shadow-like figures. Cyborg fired at them as they unnaturally twisted and moved around his shots, Beastboy morphing into a Rhino and forcing them to retreat to the sides. Robin had been about to jump into the fray when a shape swung down directly into his view. "Heya handsome~" A green haired woman wearing a Hanya-styled mask greeted him.

Robin jumped back and gave his bo-staff a flourish. "The Hive Five found some new members? Or are you their new boss?" Robin said dryly as the woman gracefully swung from her perch and landed infront of him. She was tall, probably as tall as Cyborg or Mammoth. She was dressed in some simple looking combat gear, shorts, long boots and gloves, a midriff revealing top that had a dark blue V across the front, and the mask that changed her voice.

"I'd rather be having a drink with you right now but- this could be fun too I guess~" she admitted, not answering his question as she crouched down for a moment. And then launched herself toward him like a train, Robin leaping over her as she crashed into the wall. Robin righted himself, hopping off one hand and backflipping down to the ground floor to regroup with the others. "Playing hard to get Birdie?" She called after him, following after him.

It was hard to tell if they were winning or losing.

But one thing for sure, they were outnumbered. With Billy Numerous, Hive, and various holograms jumping about. Not to mention their new guest. A girl with a Hanya mask. A ninja? That portal was a neat trick. One that was not appreciated. The situation felt like it was getting worse. The five regrouped in the middle of the bank, with foes coming in from all sides.

They had to break the tide somehow.

"Stay close... Azarath, Metrion, ZINTHOS!"

This spell of hers had more energy put into it than the previous one. A quickly-expanding dome of dark energy emerged from Raven's position, engulfing her friends. But it did not stop there, as within a second, its outer walls would quickly move towards the enemies, taking any incoming attacks, and pushing them back, slamming against the walls of the building and any objects found in between. The barrier, though strong, soon, shrank back into Raven, who took a breather after it returned.

"There's more of them than us... We need to thin their numbers, somehow..." - Raven spoke quietly, with bated breath. Something scratching at the back of her mind. There was a solution.

But...

PostSubject: Re: Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open]   Trouble in Midtown [Titans/Open] Icon_minitimeWed Aug 07, 2019 12:59 pm

And the mob of enemies made the fatal mistake of all attempting to attack them all at once, being sent in all directions as intended along with Gizmo's holograms flickering off and leaving just the one. The shadow-like figures would simply stand back up, seemingly rising out of the floor. The newcomer meanwhile righted herself, handspringing back to her feet but seemed perfectly fine otherwise.

Robin had a chance to evaluate their situation and try to quickly think of something. Raven was right, they were outnumbered in more ways than one simply because of Billy. But Mammoth had already been taking abuse since the fight broke out, and Gizmo was never that good of a figher in the first place. Pvt. Hive was also worse for wear, so that mostly left Billy and their new enemy. He also noted that she was watching him rather intently. That gave him an idea. "Cyborg, you and Beastboy tag team Mammoth and work on the private. Star and Raven, watch my back," Robin gave out his orders, separating his staff into two.

Robin then sprang into action, leaping into the midst of enemies. A couple of the shadow men took the bait and went for him, Robin ducking low and spinning on his hands to kick them both. But they were clearly not human and simply morphed their shape back to normal before being pelted by starbolts. A Billy took this chance to try and catch Robin off guard, backed up by two more but Robin agilly weeved between them just as their new guest came plowing through the group. "Oops- stand still would ya?" The girl said apologetically as she aimed herself back around, adopting a different stance this time.

Gizmo would now be using his spider legs, a pair of cannons rearing up from the sides of his backpack as he tried firing at the titans. He was backed up by a couple of the Shadowmen, morphing their arms into long whips that they tried lashing at Raven and the others.

One shadow tried going after Star exclusively, scaling up a wall to get some height before diving off toward her while she kept Robin safe with starbolts.

Robin wasn't having much trouble using Billy's numbers and lack of hand-to-hand skill against him. But then the green haired hanya girl joined the fray again, throwing a few kicks his way. Robin could feel the wind from them missing alone. Robin retalliated with some kicks of his own but found that they may as well have been bouncing off of her. It was likc trying to kick Cyborg. She managed to get a hold of his foot once and on reflex, Robin shifted his weight and bent backwards. He tried to send her flying over him and partially succeeded- she never let go so he was dragged along with her. "Heehee that's more like it~" she giggled before Robin gave her a sharp kick to the face with one his steel toed boots. She squeaked and her mask was almost completely taken off, which was probably the only reason she let him get back to his feet.

Let it never be said that Raven was not a team player.

As the foes were thrown asunder and many of them were still groaning from their abrupt impact with the wall, she and Starfire followed Robin's lead and cleaved a wedge through whoever was still on their feet, throwing aside numerous versions of Billy and fighting off odd shadows. Raven's eyes was on the strange ninja girl that seemed to be flirting with the bird-boy in the middle of a melee encounter. She doubted the villain's intentions were sincere, but it still bothered her a little.

She's overly confident. I should put her in her place...

Maybe she reminded Raven of Jinx.

As the two fought out, an opening presented itself, as Robin kicked this new villain square in the face, almost knocking off her mask, and making her back away. Seizing the moment, the dark magician girl focused her power on that Mask, coating it with the familiar darkness.

"Lets see who our new friend really is. Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" - with that, her hand glowed in a black light, as she made a pulling motion, and the power she wielded would yank the mask... or even its wearer, forward! She had the power to lift entire buses with her mind, what was there to a single human? Either way, Raven's psychic grip would not retaliate, wiggling the Hanya in the air like a wish, until she'd seize her prize.

Raven would then immediately find that their new guest was at the very least, abnormal for a human. As she fixed her mask only to have Raven suddenly tug on it, she clung onto it and looked like she'd just lose her balance before suddenly whipping her head back and fighting back against the pull. "Nooo! I'll get in trouble!" She exclaimed dragging against her heels for a moment as one hand gave off a green/white glow and physically grabbed the darkness covering her face. And for a moment, one soul would interact with the other as the girl seemed to be absorbing the portion of Raven's soul self clinging to her mask.

Robin used this chance to deal with more of The Billies, slamming them into eachother and forcing them to merge back together. Noticing some energy shots erupting from Gizmo's direction, Robin threw a pair of birdarangs his way to slice through a couple of the tech-creep's robotic legs before he saw the Shadow dive bomb into Starfire. It morphed it's shape, becoming a bubble and trapping her. But only for a moment, as a green beam erupted through it and sliced through, making the bubble disperse into nothingness.

Both Mammoth and Pvt. Hive would find themselves back to back through Cyborg and Beastboy switching in and out, attacking one or the other before finally ramming them both against each other. That was two more down for the count. That just left Gizmo (kinda) and the newcomer. The odds were back in their favor now.

Gizmo would see Beastboy and Cyborg tag teaming Mammoth and Pvt. Hive, reducing the effectiveness of their team exponentially, "Those fart-munchers!"

He'd start his jetpack and take off, aiming missiles at Cyborg, who was currently preoccupied with Mammoth. Gizmo would grin, that was until this happened.

A slab of concrete raised from the ground, blocking the missiles from connecting. Once the smoke cleared, a man was standing there, he was dressed in ripped black jeans, black Chuck Taylors, a shirt with the phrase "Burn The Witch", and finally a hooded vest with a pentacle on the back. He'd have a cocky grin as Gizmo would fire more missiles at the new comer, "Tsk tsk tsk, that's not playing very nice."

Prospero would wave his hand, a gust of wind would push the missiles away, them exploding against the wall furthest from everybody. He would then push Gizmo into a wall. Gizmo would sit there stunned while the new comer walked over and took off the pack, "Impressive, but is it heat resistant?"

Gizmo would watch in horror as this new witch would toss the pack off to the side, and ignite it. The circuits would be fried. Gizmo would start screaming, "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! YOU BUTTSNIFFER! YOU-"

The newcomer would encase the tech geek in ice, "Why don't you chill out?" He'd laugh and then stand in the middle of the room, "Huh, they seem to have this under control..." He'd create a hammock made of a purple energy and lay on it until the battle was over, or he was needed.

"Arghhh!"

Raven pulled back and away from the strange girl the moment she got a hold of a bit of her soul-self, and absorbed it. It felt... weird. Like touching hot iron, but... worse. And on the inside. It was painful, and ... it made Raven angry. For a moment, her face disappeared in the darkness of her hood, two pairs of red eyes appearing underneath. They blinked a few times before sizzling out, the girl restoring her control before something bad could happen.

"Robin, be careful with that one. She can absorb my magic..."

She wanted to focus her attention on Gizmo instead. The little twerp with gadgets, while dangerous, was ... predictable. And this one was an unknown element. But before she could do anything, the gadgeteer was immobilized by reinforcements that came in the last moment. Very familiar reinforcements. Huh... I thought Merlin grounded him for at least a month... - she thought to herself.

Whether she liked it or not, the only one left standing was the strange girl. Who could absorb magic. But there was more to Raven's magic than simply grabbing unto things. She brought her hands together.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!"

Upon her mental command, sharp pieces of glass, stone, and metal lying around as debris arose around the girl, before being released and flung at her from all sides! The projectiles were small, but many, and very sharp. With a hand motion, she'd guide some of the shards to avoid hitting Robin. But with this thot? The gloves were off.

Once everything was under control, the others briefly turned their attention to Prospero make his entrance and immobilize Gizmo. Robin didn't recognize him, but any help was greatly appreciated. That just left the Hanya girl who... after absorbing some of Raven's power as she said, seemed to have bitten off more than she could chew. She was grbabing the sides of her head and thrashing about like she was possessed. "Forgot! Shouldn't have- NO STOP! I won't again... please no not again! Can't- again. NO!" She started stammering in panic. Her skin tone (which was quite visible with her outfire) seemed to shift and swirl back from the normal caucasian to a slightly green hue. And her voice was going all over the deeper pitch.

"Wait Raven-" Robin started once Raven started her incantation. But he was a moment too late as debris and everything started getting hurled at The Hanya girl. She seemed to acknowledge the threat and tried to both get her issues under control while defending herself against the onslaight, still ending up worse for wear at the end of it. But did she always have a tail? It was a pale green tail with a spade at the end of it. Robin drew some freezing discs and threw them at The Hanya girl who leaped, bursting through the floor of the upper floor with a heaving groan.

Beastboy and Starfire were in hot pursuit, with Starfire lancing her eye beams at the girl and forcing her evade them as Beastboy morphed into a lion and tried to pounce on her. No sooner had he landed, she caught him and for a moment he let out a roar of surprsie and fear as he morphed back to his humanoid form. But he was alittle paler as The Hanyra girl squeaked and quickly let him go before she dove back down to the ground floor.

Cyborg was ready for her and tried right hooking her, clocking her in the side of the face. She wheeled back but not before snapping her leg up and in return, clocking Cyborg in the chin and sending him flying up into the ceiling above. She was panting heavily, tail slicing through the ground at her feet with it's wild thrashing. She then grabbed the sides of her head again and... slammed her head into one of the reinforced walls, making a sizable dent in it as if she was trying to get control over herself again. And were her other injuries patching themselves up?

Prospero would watch the new scene take place, "Finally a real challenge!" He'd shoot up and notice Cyborg falling, he'd quickly use the wind to soften his descent. He'd then notice the tail, and go wide eyed, everything made sense, the strength, the speed. She was a demon, if his demonic studies were correct, it was a succubus.

"CRAP! EVERYONE GET AWAY!" He'd kinda push them all back with wind and enclose himself and the succubus in a concrete bunker. He'd then approach the girl, "Easy! Easy! It's okay. What's your name?" Prospero talked in a very calm manner, being careful not to show any emotion. "I want to help you, I'm not here to fight you. Why are you here?"

A demon?!

That explained things. The unnatural durability, and the ability resist her magic. Birds of a feather, so to speak. Unlike Raven, however, her kind had no issue losing control over their powers, unleashing their destructiveness upon the population. Despicable. All that loathing that Raven had towards the other half of her genepool suddenly materialized in the form of the Hanya mask-wearing girl. As the Teen Titans recovered from her assault, Beastboy wobbled back to his feet.

"Dude, what was that? She morphed me!"

"She drained you. Do not touch her. Any of you, don't."

With that, the TT crew would follow the trail of destruction she caused, only to find the girl headbanging a wall, and the mage boy trying to calm her down. He enclosed himself and the demon inside a concrete bunker, trying to separate them. But he had no idea of what he was dealing with! Or, at least, not enough. That little idiot...

"Everyone, to me."

She'd use her magic to phase everyone through the wall, to emerge on the other side. Raven emerged last, looking more than pissed. Perhaps Merlin did not ground the boy enough last time.

Robin wasn't as familiar with the occult as Raven was. But based on the fact nothing he did know of had a tail like that, the abnormal abilities, and the deeper pitch of voice, he was briefly reminded of Raven losing her temper against Light. So it was a safe bet she was "like" Raven but with apparently less control of herself. Or was it because of what she did to get free from Raven? He didn't have time to ponder it as the magician stepped in again, enclosing him and the demon in a concrete bunker of some kind. Robin hurried over and stopped outside of it, gritting his teeth. That was a horrible idea. What was he hoping to do? Thankfully Raven was already on top of it, using her power to allow them passage through.

The Hanya meanwhile seemed to acknowledge the fact someone had in her mind, trapped them inside of a concrete prison. Prospero's words were just squeaks of prey, soft like prey. But she forced herself to recoil, her glowing eyes darting around for an escape route before the others arrived.

"Hey! Don't get near her! She's liable to attack if you're not careful," Robin warned him scoldingly. There wasn't much room to move here, and she was definitely strong enough to barrel through them if she needed to.

"Jaaaames..." The Hanyra girl seemed to whimper slightly, apparently an old wound had been opened. Her eyes continued to dart around, her tail had stopped swishing so erratically but was now poised like a scorpion's tail. Her eyes widened briefly as she quickly moved her feet against the wall.

"Get down!" Robin exclaimed, immediately tackling Prospero to the ground as The Hanya gal launched herself off at incredible speed. In her desparation she threw out a green glowing hand, and a black glowing one. Beastboy had almsot moved out of the way, getting tapped by the green glowing one as she passed. And the black glowing one was aimed for Raven as she passed and went crashing through the concrete wall Prospero made.
