Powers:

  • magi-gunner - Tsesso is a specialist mage and unlike most others, he is incapable of using his magic like other magi. Instead he needs a channel or medium for it and he's found one effective way to channel his magics; a gun. Crafted from what some may initially think to be steel, is built specifically to successfully channel magic but even so he needs a storage case for his magic and so far, he hasn't found anything better then brass casings. Down below are his elements of choice. (Incidentally, those are also his only elements of choice)

  • Fire - Tsesso's primary magical bullet type is a simple brass casing, charged with magical fire and loaded into one of his revolvers. When the hammer strikes the primer, the gun creates it's own incantation and the stored up energy is discharged as a burst of highly potent fire. (Casing glows a cherry red)

  • Ice - Tsesso's secondary magical bullet type is a simple brass casing, charged with magical frost and loaded into one of his revolvers. When the hammer strikes the primer, the gun creates it's own incantation and the stored up energy is discharged as a burst of ice shards. Almost like a shotgun effect. (Casing glows light blue.)

  • Electricity - Tsesso's tertiary magical bullet type is a simple brass casing, charged with electric magics and loaded into one of his revolvers. When the hammer strikes the primer, the gun creates it's own incantation and the stored up energy is discharged in an arcing twisting path. Has a stun gun effect. (Casing glows a yellowish white)

  • Light - Tsesso's fourth and ultimately final bullet type is a simple brass casing, charged with light elemental magics and loaded into one of his revolvers. When the hammer strikes the primer, the gun creates it's own incantation and the stored up energy is discharged in a straight path. Functions pretty much as a laser. (Casing glows bright white.)

  • Agile - Tsesso's an agile guy and it shows in his various acrobatics. Twisting and twirling through the air, with the greatest of ease. As it is his only defense against a royal beat down, Tsesso tends to keep his distance from the target.



===PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE===

Strengths:

  • Friendly

Weaknesses:


  • Removal of his firearms - long story short, you take away his guns somehow, and you pretty much take away his best shot. Pun not intended. Because, without his firearms, you pretty much disable his ability to cast magic.

  • Ammo count - Tsesso needs brass casings charged with his magic to properly use his gun and as such, he carries a limited amount with him. At least thirty of each type. Considering the brass cartridges are used up permanently, as in they completely break down after use there is no way for him to recycle them, so he has to find or make more of them.

  • Enchanting - Tsesso's munitions are all enchanted, and stamped with her magic. As such he can't just take a brass cartridge, stick it in his gun and fire any of his magics out of it they need to be inscribed then in a meditative state, bleeds whichever elemental energy he needs into the case. The process itself takes quite some time and has no relative use on the field of combat.

  • Munition fail - Tsesso's handguns are unique, in that they are very much incapable of using mundane munitions. It's not that they won't work, it's that they will almost always cause the weapon to jam a hundred percent of the time. If he somehow managed to screw up and stick a mundane round into his firearm and it jams, he has to go through all sorts of hell just to fix it.

  • conductivity - Tsesso's firearms are made of a near indestructible material, while they give amazing protection against physical attacks, they do however have one flaw; electrical and heat conductivity. While most of you may be thinking that would be natural, what with these weapons being made of metal, the materials used in the production of his weapons are far more sensitive to those two elements in particular then your run of the mill steel.


Skills:


  • Firearms training - Due to the fact that they are a pair of handguns, Tsesso has had some extensive training in the proper usage, maintenance and care of firearms.

  • Martial arts - Another interesting thing to note about Tsesso is that he's trained in hand to hand combat, most likely to keep him in a fight for as long as possible, when he finally manages to run out of ammo.



Equipment:



  • Lefty & Righty; Tsesso's handguns are made to function, much like standard revolver magnums with a distinct difference. They don't use normal materials. Utilizing the same materials employed in the construction of his gauntlets, they are incredibly sturdy, almost indestructible and as an added bonus, the material is non-ferrous in nature meaning it is incapable of being magnetically charged, or drawn to anything of a magnetic nature. That however doesn't stop someone from giving him a nasty jolt, due to the metallic nature of the weapons.

  • Gauntlets; Tsesso's gauntlets are made of a lighweight, highly durable(to the point of requiring massive force to even dent them) and strange material, from his own dimension. The material itself is completely pitch black, offering no reflective traits what so ever. However, the downside to this material is in it's unusually high conductivity rate; in which lightning or heat has a higher effectiveness when applied to it then, say, steel.


Habits/Quirks:
The Katarhyss family have plenty of quirks all varied and different and sometimes a family member, has one or several; Tsesso in particular, talks purposefully in a slow drawn out tone and he's almost always chewing on something be it a pencil, a stick of gum or his thumb while some may not think of it as a quirk, let it be known that he's ALWAYS chewing on something. Not just sometimes, but always.

Personality: Tsesso's personality is very calm, cold and collected. Nothing, seems to phase this strange being from another world. The one most unusual thing about Tsesso is that his family are all a group of law bringers or police, or sheriffs if you will. However, unlike his family, Tsesso isn't exactly the most law abiding person around; often times breaking laws to catch crooks, or stop them.

Tsesso is still however a nice guy, when you finally get around his whole law breaking outlook on life. Extremely generous with those less fortunate than himself, one would find him an odd paradox between a good guy, someone who truly doesn't care, and a crook that catches crooks. Tsesso is, a rather confusing person nonetheless.

===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===


Family: The Katarhyss family(leaving this disambiguous because for one, I'm gonna list them all when I have time.)

Place of Origin: Outland Wastes

History: Tsesso was born not in this existence but rather, in a different dimension. Specifically the Outland Wastes. It's a rather lawless area, if not for his family which is both exceedingly large and rather influential and powerful. You see, they were the Wastes only group of law-bringers and with that, they carried a lot of leverage when it came to catching a thief or murderer. Much like the rest of his family Tsesso was trained in the practical art of handling a gun, and in the ways of hand to hand combat.

Unlike most people in the Katarhyss family, Tsesso was the black sheep of sorts for one, he was the only one who possessed magic which immediately marked him out as being utterly different. Now, in a land of magic, one would think that being without magic would be unusual or a hindrance. But to the Katarhyss family, Tsesso was most certainly the oddity around here. They raised him differently then his siblings, even devised a different set of training routines for him to follow because to them, he was most certainly going to be an interesting corner stone in keeping the peace around the Outlands.

You see, his family compensated for their lack of magical affinity with technology and with him, they simply gave him that kind of life as was their habit. However it came with an odd side effect; Tsesso was incapable of utilizing magic normally, like anyone else within the Outlands. Trying to find out why, his family did all sorts of tests; and while it took a good portion of time, roughly six months to find out they all came up with the same conclusion. Somehow, he had a semi-stunted ability to cast magic. It wasn't that he couldn't cast it, it was the fact that he was incapable of casting it without a medium of some sort.

They tried all sorts of things; steel pipes, handguns even simple bits of lead. But they couldn't find out what would work. Then almost as if by chance, Tsesso grabbed up a handful of brass casings and juggled them around, in an absent minded stupor. Almost immediately, they began to react - glowing various colors. But, as soon as they dropped to the ground the color was lost and again, more research and more testing was thrown into it, and another six months passed with very inconclusive results. Eventually however they did come into a result that they needed to inscribe sigils, relating to specific elements into the casings in order for them to retain their charges. They tried it again, with one such sigil representing fire telling Tsesso to think of fire, warm and hot, flowing into the case imbuing it with heat most righteous and it stuck.

But, when they tried firing it from a normal handgun there came another problem, it didn't work. Now, they didn't need any research to tell them that magic doesn't work particularly well with the mundane so instead of research they branched out using contacts far and wide, to search out something that might work with magic and in five years, (a relatively short time for them, they got their results and what the found was interesting. It was a material that had functional properties akin to steel, but unlike that common metal it was far, far tougher to work with in fact it was downright impossible, if not for a small, still functioning plasma forge they managed to acquire decades ago.

But the results of creating the appropriate medium for their youngest child's unique situation, took them another four years and by that time, he was a young adult with appropriate training and with these weapons they finally made after years of failure he was equipped with the right tool for the job but skepticism stated they needed to test it out, for fear it may fail like most of their other weapons. It worked, but amazingly the weapons have a surprising amount of recoil and once again, three more years were tossed into creating another set of items for Tsesso; a pair of gauntlets. Utilizing micro servos, they increased his arm strength significantly, to help keep the recoil to a manageable level.

By the time he was eighteen, he was given his first assignment; capture of a local outlaw that was dabbling in magic. Setting out, Tsesso smiled and gave a slow nod and an even slower okay, almost like he sounded bored. When he got there however, he got more than he bargained for in fact, his parents had miscalculated this particular outlaws dabbling. He wasn't just dabbling, he was teaching it. Tsesso didn't have a chance. Even with his own magic the man, no, that wasn't a man anymore, overpowered him and in a surprising turn of events just before he was about to finish Tsesso off he swung around and fired a shot in the middle of the man's incantation. The resulting blast of magic engulfed the surrounding area, presumably killing them both. That was not the case for Tsesso.

Somehow, when their magic collided, Tsesso was propelled through what some would assume to be a dimensional barrier and deposited directly, on what he would find out to be planet earth. In the city of Jump. To which, he found out very shortly that it was quite abundant in crime and with his training drilled into him since he was a child he did the only reasonable thing he could really think of. He set out to stop it.

I dig her powers and only have a question for her regeneration. When you say shadows, what if she's in minimal bits of it like shade? Can she heal there to and can she control just little bits of shade or shadows like thin slivers of it, plus completely amplify it to turn into a large one? Also, what happens at night when she wants to use her powers?

Other than those things; which I'm sorry if you already covered some of that in your app. I had a suggestion for the shadowy version of herself you mentioned Very Happy

A shadow is a shadow. So long as she has a little patch of shadow to sit in, she can heal herself just fine.

As for the entirety of what she can do with shadows. She can manipulate small slivers, though the strength of it suffers considerably.

At night, I suggest bringing a light source with you. While she isn't a villain per-say, the night is still potentially her strongest ally in a fight.

Dear Summers,

I have seen your character. Unfortunately, I have some stuff I'd like to ask about. During the night, it's dark. Darkness is not essentially shadow, while shadow is darkness. So if she is able to manipulate all darkness as you said in your reply, she'd be invincible during the night. Constant heal, every spot is a good place for her. Furthermore, bringing a light source is just that which causes shadows, even during the night. It does not help one, surely not much.

If I combine her powers juts right, she is able to send some sort of shadow clones after her enemies (and how strong are they? Can they be hit as they are made out of nothing but blackness?) while tangling herself in shadows and healing herself, and glide through walls to safety. I think that if she can do this through walls, she can do it through the ground.

Kindly see this as advice and see how I can be assured this will not happen. Also, you spoilered to me she will be blind. But next to saying she is, I failed to notice the impact. It seems like a red herring. I hoep you'll be able to make it something more unique.

Sadly, I can remember a member we once had that was also able to bend shadows, walk through solid objects and create shadowy versions of herself. Some of the elder members might remember her as well. It's the reason I'm strict, and I apologise if you find this judgment too harsh. That other particular character was a bit too much, I don't want that to happen again.
