Jemmy blinked. She had actually understood that. Apparently she did speak Japanese. She had actually forgotten. Once, long ago, she had actually lived in Japan for a few years. While she had the excuse of having thousands of years to forget a language, Ren had no such luxury. But now he could suddenly speak a language he hadn't known before, according to him.
But it would be silly to let him know that she actually spoke Japanese. After all, she had already told him that she couldn't.
"Neat."
Jemmy opened a portal in the restaurant. The black, crackling tear in space was impossible to miss, and drew a few annoyed looks from accross the room. Jemmy signaled for Ren to follow her in, and then stepped through. As she did, she found herself on top of a building in Tokyo, Japan.
It smelled like smoke. There was the sound of people everywhere. It was a busy, business section of the city. It was similar to Jump City, in ways. But it was also very different. "First, we find whoever's in charge around here." She turned to Ren. "Lead the way, Mr. Robot."
