Doppelgangers (Bow, Invite)

Kyoshi was downtown trying to get to the book store. It was her usual hang out spot after school because, well, books were a lot easier to deal with than people. Plus, it was nice and quiet and there was even a coffee shop built right in! The girl was smiling at the thought of a simple afternoon after the week she had. Her first week of public school hadn't gone as smoothly as she had hoped. It was hard to make friends when no one understands you.

Today, she was trying not to think about all that. A sigh escaping her lips as she neared the beautiful book store she was headed to. Then, suddenly, she was ripped from her fantasy and turned around to face a man yelling at her about something, threatening her crimson pigtails if she didn't give him his stuff back.

Her eyes went wide and she shook her head quickly, emptying her pockets to show that she didn't have anything. She even offered him her purse to let him check in there. But, of course, all of these were physical cues, nothing verbal ever coming from her mouth.

Kyoshi let out a high pitched squeak as she was dragged away from the front of the book store into a dark alley. The frail teenager backed up against a wall, staring up at him with quivering eyes as he got right into her face. By now she was trembling from head to toe, not knowing what else she could do to convince him that she was innocent.

When he told her to use her words, she fumbled with her hands, using sign language and hoping he understood this form of communication.

Kyoshi followed his eyes to the other side of the street and went wide eyed when she saw another red haired girl that looked like her. She blinked and put the pieces together rather quickly. That must be the girl that took this guy's stuff, and he mistook her for that thief! Kyoshi calmed down a little bit, exhaling since she thought that meant he would let her go back to her book store in peace. Boy was she wrong.

As he called her Pinky, she started to try and correct him using sign language, but wasn't quick enough. Before she could react, the man had hoisted her up and yanked her away from her precious book store. A sigh escaped her lips and she thought for a split second before knocking on his back. How was she supposed to say she was a weapon?

Kyoshi pouted lightly when he called her Pinky for the second time, but was quickly diverted from that anger as she saw the girl that looked exactly like her staring at them menacingly. Wait. What?? The red head blinked a few times, having to make a double take to see if she saw that correctly. There was a girl standing not even twenty feet away from them that was almost identical to her. Before she could even react though, she was already charging with blades at her side.

The small girl squeaked and jumped behind Eric, having to trust that he'd be okay and could stop her. Oh how she wishes she could speak to tell him that she could help, but at this current juncture, that was impossible. When he tripped her though, Kyoshi thought that was it! That they had won! She had never been in a fight a day in her life. So, when the girl got back up, she yelped.

Now it was her that was the target and she had to think of what to do quick. She couldn't rely on this guy she didn't know, at least, not completely. The only thing she could think of doing in about half a second was to transform. Since she was the wielder in this situation, she took on her preferred form, a katana. The sword fell to the ground and Kyoshi could only hope that Eric picked her up first.

(Sorry for short post. Haven't gotten the hang of rping a weapon yet. Hopefully as I do more with her, I'll get better.)

When the fight was over, and Eric asked where she was, Kyoshi transformed back into human form, biting her lip. She pulled out her 3ds and started to write something on the notepad. When she was done, she handed it over to him so that he could read it. -Sorry, I can actually turn into whatever you want. But once you make a decision that's it. Also... WHO WAS THAT!?" The girl's eyes were wide in a mixture of fear and confusion, thinking that he must know who it was since they attacked him like that.

Kyoshi just looked around as he read the text, blinking and looking back up at him as he spoke to her again. She nodded when he told her to turn into a long ranged weapon next time and logged that into her memory, wondering what kind of long ranged weapon he would prefer, but decided that it wasn't actually that important. Then he admitted that it could have been anyone because he usually had a target on his back, but the girl was still skeptical. Why did they look like her? Was she just reading too far into this because of the increase in comic book consumption lately? Probably.

His last two questions actually deserved answers though, so when he gave her the gaming system back, she started to write again. -My name is Kyoshi. Please take me to the comic book store, right below us.- She also pointed to show him how close they were. All he needed to do was get her down from this building really. She could have done it herself but she didn't want to end up like her doppleganger, no telling what happened to her. The red head didn't look to see.

Kyoshi smiled gently up at him and was just preparing to leave, when she suddenly heard a crash behind her. The girl went wide eyed and spun around to see a giant red bird escaping through the collapsing building next to them. Wait. That was the doppelganger!? No way!!

When Eric stepped in front of her, Kyoshi shook her head and bit her lip, concentrating hard. He wanted a long ranged weapon and it needed to be able to defeat that thing. The girl breathed in and transformed into a .338 Winchester mag rifle and landed right next to him. She could only hope that he actually used her.

Shoot. The girl noticed as soon as she transformed this time. She was locked in for 24 hours. There was no going back to human form and no way to communicate anything with Eric. This would be... interesting.
