Brothers at play [Open]

Mo was out and about on her own today to explore the city aswell as protect it from whatever crime she picked up with her telepathy or that happened close by to her. She was by herself today because Nadia was handling some immigration business with the local government. Fun fact she didn't know: California was it's own country. She also learned the name of the general area where Jump was located. So while they were here, the two of them decided to legally reside in Jump for however long they deemed necessary. Mo figured Nadia would be the best at handling this situation without her help- atleast for now. For now Nadia would be finding out what all they needed to properly live here through the proper channels.

It was a pretty cool day, which made her uncomfortable. She hated the cold. Then she happened to look up as a series of ominous clouds began to form. She had seen a clear sky just moments ago. Mo also couldn't be sure but swear she felt something emanating from those clouds. So as the sky darkened with the arrival of clouds, she was puzzled by the lack of rain. On many planets she had been on, clouds such as these indicated rain was not too far behind. Unless- her thoughts were literally broken as a bolt of lightning crashed down in the center of an intersection.

This was followed by more lightning, forcing Mo to put her hands over her helmet's "ears" to block out the deafening thunder that followed the lightning. And then one bolt of lightning in particular came a foot or so away from hitting Mo, instead striking a display of televisions behind her. Regardless of the lightning hitting her, the shattering glass and lightning strike was enough to knock her off her feet for a moment. What was going on here?

Mo and some other onlookers were investigating something where the lightning had struck. Based on their thoughts and what she could hear, it was some kind of glowing... bulb thing. Mo managed to nudge her way through the crowd until she could see what everyone was looking at. It was indeed a multicolored, glowing bulb like thing. Though Mo didn't know what it was specifically, it looked like one of those little plastic capsules from one of those quarter machines with the little prizes in them.

Mo wasn't sure what that thing was. But wasn't about to make a habit of poking strange objects she knew nothing about... yet. It then dawned on Mo right then and there, that there were probably other glowing capsule things laying about where the lightning had struck. She also noted that the ominous storm clouds above were still there and... being ominous. Was it normal to actually see electricity crackling in the clouds like that?

Toji shivers, rubbing his arms.Maaaaaan, so cold...Sighing, the halfling puts his gloves back on,making sure his hood and scarf was in place, then steps out from under the awning.Looking up as clouds form, his brows furrow,only for him to yelp in surprise as a lightning bolt slams into the ground beside him. Yikes!!!!Seeing a crowd forming around a object, Toji goes over.What was that....

For the moment, Mo was unaware of Toji's presence, instead taking the initiative to examine the shimmering capsule more closely. Looking at it more closely, Mo could see what looked like a figure within the capsule. But before Mo could examine it further- remember those televisions that got fried a moment ago? They suddenly switched back on with shrieks of static as electricity shot out of them. Leaping to a street lamp and frying that as it sporadically zigged and zagged with an audible "weeeeee" sound as it finally stopped on the side of a building. The electricity then quickly took shape, drawing in other sources of electricity into it's mass. As the mass grew, what looked like skin began to form. Before long, a towering figure of about ten feet or so was now sort of hanging on the wall. He chuckled impishly and hopped off with a thud, rolling his shoulders for a moment.

A couple of seconds or so later, there was an ear splitting boom that actually shattered all the glass near the impact of another figure. This figure was practically identical to the first one apart from the gold trimmings being silver. This figure was also wearing cooler shades of colors, and looked more physically frightening then his blatantly obvious brother. He put his hands to his mouth and howled something to the other one- it was so loud that any mortal hearing it had to cover their ears to lessen the pain.

The first one cocked his head at him and said in a language Toji could probably make out. "Of course I'm ready little brother!" the first one popped his knuckles. Both locked eyes for a moment and the air became still as if a grand battle of titans was about to begin. But instead, both suddenly shot off in different directions. Both were so fast, Mo only blinked and already lost track of them. But their minds... she had not encountered anything like this before. From what little she was even able to understand, they were brothers about to... play? Play what?

As if to answer her question, a pillar of light shot up into the sky, and then another one. A short moment later, both brothers returned in the blink of an eye facing each other. But this time, they weren't alone. The gold trimmed brother had what looked... like a yellow rodent about the size of a small dog perched on his shoulder. He seemed overly affectionate with it, as he nuzzled cheeks with it and clearly exchanged electricity with it.

The silver trimmed brother was carrying a woman on his shoulder... but the woman essentially looked like a store mannequin dressed in workout clothes. The silver trimmed brother also now had headphones on as he barked something at his brother. You could almost make out in the ear splitting pain, "Ready?"

With a snap of his fingers, the gold trimmed brother summoned a fancy looking controller with a burst of electricity. The other brother followed suit, but with a loud boom of thunder instead. While they did this, other pillars of light shot up into the sky to indicate other people had finally touched one of the capsules. Letting their chosen fighters down, the brothers flew up some and started battle!

Toji blinks at the sight of a armored girl. Shrugging, the boy steps up to the capsule, reaching out to touch it...but then a being of lightning appears, and soon after that what appeared to be athunder being appeared. Gasping at the sound of him speaking, Toji winces, covering his ears.Lightning answers the question, and Toji managed to understand it well enough to get the gist.Ready for what?Then they're off. Woah......fast!!!!Then, after pillars of light, they come back, bringing back....Smash characters? As they go again, Toji blurs over to a pod, touching it.

More speed! Mo only picked up Toji's thoughts as he rushed to the pod everyone had been looking at, releasing a bright flash of light for a moment before fading to reveal... a blue blur that seemed to dash around this way and that before actually stopping near Toji. It was a blue hedgehog with sneakers. To which Mo had NO idea what it was besides blue and spiky looking. "W-what is going on?" Mo was utterly confused by what was going on as the brothers continued "playing" in the background.

Both the electrical rodent and the fitness instructor were duking it out, neither able to land a solid hit apart from chip damage from weak combos. The brothers were flicking control sticks this way and that while mashing buttons furiously. A controller appeared out of thin air before Toji, floating there for him to take as a message flashed above the heads of the brothers. "A challenger approaches!" Causing both to stop what they were doing to look Toji's way. They chuckled and turned their sights on Toji's character, sending both characters after him!

Mo meanwhile took to the streets, trying to remember where one of those lightning bolts had hit. She still didn't have the slightest idea what was going on, but the fact she couldn't read the minds of these new people didn't sit well with her. She could with enough effort read the mind of any living thing. So were these people not alive? Her thoughts were put on hold as another... weird mind got on her radar. It seemed like another human at first, but there was something inherently odd about it as she rounded a corner and saw a figure clad in a full blue robe and hat. His face was completely obscured by the shadow of his pointed hat apart from a pair of rounded glasses that shined unnaturally from the darkness.

He hadn't seen her yet and was fiddling with some kind of... square device while a giant shelled creature hopped into a weird flying machine with a goofy face on it. The massive, red haired reptile took to the skies with a bevvy of what Mo took as his children at his back. What they planned to do she didn't know, but out of the corner of her eye, Mo spotted another capsule. The wizard looked up from his tablet and spotted mo. The two exchanged an awkward gaze before Mo made a mad dash for the capsule.

The Wizard didn't seem to like this and made some kind of inaudible noise as a neon colored pillar shot up in Mo's path. She only had a split second to react, narrowly getting out of the way as it came hurling toward her a second later. Was he throwing walls at her? She didn't have any time to ponder, as a horizontal line of blocks came next that she managed to duck under. Another pillar- this time Mo saw it come from above and again managed to side step. She also caught a glimpse of WHAT it came from as she dove for the capsule and was enshrouded in light. When the light died, Mo heard a sound before she was picked up by someone and moved out of the way of another pillar coming from above.

Her savior was... a man in green with pointed ears, and a sword. "T-thank you!" Mo thanked him as they both turned their gaze on the wizard who blankly stared them down. As with Toji, a controller appeared for Mo. The wizard let off a high pitched laugh and simply disappeared. Blasted wizards and their magic!

Toji grins, laughing,"Woah!!!! Awesome, Sonic, my fellow speedster!!!!" Bumping fists with the fellow bluemane, the halfling blinks at the sight of a controller in front of him. Glancing up as the others come at him, the halfling grins, calling out in okamian./You do not wish to challenge an Okamian!!!!/ Grabbing the controller, Toji manipulates it, sending Sonic blurring at the others with a sound barrier breaking combo.

This didn't seem to make either brother pause, but the silver trimmed "thunder" brother let off a big... booming laugh. It seemed like any time he spoke or even remotely used his mouth, the sound was too much for anyone to stand. "Even if that challenger is fellow kin?" the gold trimmed "lightning" brother called back with a laugh. The electrical mouse simply sent a bolt of lightning at the hedgehog while the fitness instructor launched a soccer ball at him! And incase it wasn't already obvious, the controls were much different from regular "smash" controls. You had alot more freedom with what you could do with a character.

Mo meanwhile was getting to know her new friend... who didn't talk at all. The fact she couldn't read his mind was also unsettling. "Okay- well I still don't know what's going on, but that reptile and his kids can't be up to any good. So wanna go stop em?" Mo asked the swordsman who smiled with a nod. The to were off, going in the last known direction.

Going back to the trio duking it out, it was obvious that both brothers were very skilled at this game and if they weren't making Toji's job difficult, a series of bombs with faces being dropped all around them would. The bombs came from a series of clowncopter machines, driven by turtles of varying appearances and sizes. The brothers had been so focused on playing around with Toji, that they didn't even notice them until the bombs. This was quickly fixed as the electrical mouse became an electrical blur and bounced off some buildings, using them for height before launching himself like a missle at one of the copters. The target simply hovered up and avoided it with the pilot laughing mockingly.

Nearby though probably not in plain sight was... THE WIZARD!

Toji winces at the laugh, then blinks./Kin?.....Rai-Okami?!/He tenses, examining them, and tilts his head as he relaxes some, examining them./But....you don't look like you're from the clan...../ As the two other characters direct the attacks at Sonic, he makes the hedgehog dodge the lightning, but fails to make him Dodge the ball.Ooooooh, ouch.....As the bombs fall, he grunts, raising a hand to shoot lightning at the copters."Stop dropping ba-bombs, you jerks, you're endangering innocents." Blurring around, he huffs as he collects the bombs, throwing them high into the air as he focuses on fighting back against the two brothers, sending Sonic running around and unleashing a series of attacks.

One of the koopalings simply laughed, while another stuck his tongue out at them. The brothers were back on the defensive as Sonic came after them, giving the koopalings some time to prepare another assault. Or they would have if not for a boomerang tornado! It was more of a distraction was a green clothed swordsman sprang into action, using a clawed hookshot to reel himself toward them before unleashing an aerial spinning attack that got a couple of the koopalings at once.

"Um uh... I have no idea how you did that but that was cool!" Mo commented with confusion. She still had no idea what was going on at all.

Toji snorts."OK, then!! I'm coming for you all personally!!!"Then a boomerang tornado comes outta nowhere. Seeing the greenclad fighter, the halfling grins."Hahaha, sweet, Link!!!!!Glad to see you!!!" Looking at the....girl?.....girl controlling him, the halfling nods at the controller in her hands."Hello,ma'am!!! That device in your hand will control him and aid him in fighting." He demonstrates by sending Sonic up to slam into a couple of koopalings.

Mo heard what Toji said and gave it a questioning look before playing around with some of the buttons, which as he said made Link move. Fortunately the koopalings were busy to try and get their revenge on Link as they had Sonic, Wii Fit, AND Pikachu now going for them. Unfortunately, they still had sheer numbers on their side and used that to try and circle around them before firing off a barrage of cannonballs. "You kids need a time out!" Mo exclaimed, gesturing with one hand toward one of those colorful little things humans called a Hydrant. It shook and rattled for a moment before water shot up from beneath it like a geyser, which Mo used to buffet the cannonballs away.

The brothers meanwhile, had their characters dodge around them and launch projectile attacks back at them. It seemed like if they worked together like this, they'd come out in the end. And then a truck came flying out of nowhere, nearly hitting Wii Fit, Pikachu, and Sonic in one fell swoop. The newcomer? Was a monster of a turtle clearly Bowser. He roared at them as a smaller figure stepped out from behind him. It was the wizard! He waggled his finger and pressed something on the screen of his ipad, which gave Bowser a Mega Mushroom powerup. That made Bowser grow to ten times his size for anyone unaware. "No fair! That's totally cheating!" Mo exclaimed, experimenting for a moment until she got Link to draw a bomb. That wasn't going to do too much against Bowserzilla!

The brothers seemed more thrilled then worried, chuckling with amusement as Bowser started barreling toward them like a green juggernaut.

Toji grins as she uses water to deflect the cannon balls."Nice!!!!! Well done, miss!!!"Then a car comes hurtling down the street.Quickly getting Sonic out of the way, the boy snorts."Bowser?Aight then...He's getting his butt kicked, then you're next,mystery man!!! I'll teach ya to be a reckless cheat!" Toji rapidly presses buttons,grinning as Sonic spins on the ground,charging up,then charges at Bowser like a spike ridden wheel.
