The Dawn of Chaos (Titans)

It was night, approximately 8 PM. It was that time when people were either heading home, or heading out on the town. And when you headed to town, there were all kinds of places to go. Restaurants, Clubs, Hang Outs. And given the approaching holiday seasons, pretty much any store that would normally be closed at this time was open too.

Yes it was fun times for all. But that was soon to change as the glass windows shattered in at the Morvil Jewelers. People screamed, hit the floor, and the staff cursed that criminals chose to knock over their particular store tonight. But the culprits were a little bizarre.


Mummies. Shambling mummies. But these ones were a bit different than what you expect. Usually mummies have rotting flesh under those bandages, not swirling dark abyssal energies. They each carried knapsacks and began to shatter cases, grabbing select jewels and shoving them inside. 

It was at this point that the police arrived. In fear, they immediately drew their guns on the mummies shambling from the jewel store. A few bullets were fired, but they didn't seem to have any effect on them. Yes sir, this was turning into quite the dilemma. If only there were some heroes to-

"Titans Go!"


Ah. Right on cue.

Lightning slammed into some of the walking bandaid dispensers, as a blur rushed past, striking out with small scythes, chain rattling as he lashes at the monsters."Ha!!! You'll need those bandages adfter I'm done!!!" Blurring up to the officers, the boy cheekily salutes."Ello." Then, boom, right back to it.

As Toji lashed out at the monsters, Kuro ran in as well, a cable trailing behind him, as of yet not taut. He winded it around a few of the creatures, and attempted to give them a neutralizing shock, seeing if they would collapse without him having to cut them into ribbons. He kicked another in the face, chest, neck, and stomach a few times in rapid succession.

"Hotwire, should I be trying to cut them? I am hopeful, but perhaps blades are the only things that will help us."

One mummy shambled after a policeman that had tried to kill it, but then Meta came in at the last second and struck it in the face with a steel-fisted punch. Meta turned to the policeman Fall back! then he turned his attention back to the matter at hand and started punching away. At the moment, they didn't have much of a strategy, Kuro may be right, it may be that the only way to take them out might be by cutting them. For now, Meta kept an eye on everyone else's efforts from time to time to see if anyone else stumbled upon a weakness.

Suzuki would arrive next on the scene, her eyes a fierce red that spied out details and weaknesses as fast as they were presented. She charged ahead of her teammates recklessly, her sword drawn and ready to attack as she closed in on the enemies. She aimed her sword at the bags they were carrying, hoping to dislodge the jewels from their grasp.

"Hn. An army of undead mummies..." Jump had a new challenge at every turn, it seemed. She'd remain defensive, trying out her illusions on the beasts to see if they'd work. "Give me the order, and I'll burn them to ashes."

"Blades... Good idea Kuro. Everyone, stay sharp. Literally." He said reaching his hand out to the broken window of the jewelers. All of a sudden a machine came flying out at him, a diamond cutter. The parts began to swirl around his hand. It soon made a small gauntlet, at the front a spinning blade protruded.

It was at this point that a couple of the mummies shambled up to him. A quick swipe cut their arms off. This was a blade designed to finely shear through diamond. The linen these mummies were built around didn't stand a chance. They stumbled back, and one of the two collapsed to the grounds.

"Doing great guys!"

Nodding, Toji whirled his chains, then spins, becoming a tornado of razoredged steel as he vblurs through a couple of mummies.As wind gusted around from his momentum, the boy completely shreds a mummy, snagging the bag before it suffers the same fate. Appearing beside Suzuki, Toji grins at her."Got your back!!"

Once Kuro got the permission to use his blades, he loosed the cable, letting it wind back into the motor on his belt, and immediately cleaved the mummy he was kicking in half with a slight hum from the blade. He drew his other sword, and made quick work of reducing the mummies around him to ribbons, flipping the blades a little and getting into a ready position.

"Do we have any information at all on where these mummies are coming from?

Suddenly the mummy that had been sent into the alley came flying out followed by werewolf like creature and a boy resting his arms on the pole of his scythe which rested on his shoulders he then spun the scythe around and attacked another mummy while his shadow stabbed the one it threw out of the ally in the head and said, "Could be a number of things necromancer, Egyptian sorcerer, a disturbed tomb half the world away by the local archaeologist and the curse finally caught up to them there are too many options for me to narrow it down without examining these things. Which there are too many to do so safely at the moment."

Johnathan would then jump onto his scythe and fly up a bit to see if he could spot anything while charging up his ice shards ruin while his shadow stayed on the ground striking at the nearest mummy with claws and fangs before finishing it off with a shadow strike. It would then start stockpiling it's enemies bags of jewels in a corner of the store before going after another mummy.

Meta was watching all his allies as he was defending himself, he may not be able to hurt them but they were still not on his level so they didn't require his full focus to defend from their attacks. He watched as Suzuki and Garnet both arrived and started fighting as well. Hotwire suggested that everyone tries to take them out with sharp weapons, Meta decided to improvise and picked up a sharp piece of broken glass, turning the skin on his hand into steel so that he wasn't cut by it. It wasn't exactly a sword or a diamond cutter, but it would have to do.

Garnet suggested that Meta could turn into something hard so that he could be used as a projectile, Meta nodded and turned his entire body to steel, allowing himself to be thrown. Aside from the damage that did, he would also help out by slicing up what mummies he could, he wasn't much help when compared to all the people who specialised in blade fighting, but he was still helping out.

It was at this point that Yang shot into the fray on her bike. She felt bad she'd taken so long, but her patrol route was LITERALLY on the other side of the city! It's hard to move that fast! She landed directly on top of a mummy, holding herself up on the handlebars as she stuck her legs out on either side of her. Combining the speed of her bike and her own durability, she was able to easily decapitate the two she'd hit. "Sorry I'm late! Traffic is literally the worst thing ever!" She hopped off her bike and landed next to Kuro. "Sup buddy?" She asked, punching a hole directly through the mummy's chest. She then proceeded to grab its outstretched arm, rip it off with her kinetic backlash ability, and smash it in the head with it!

"I'm sure you got it covered, that guy was just giving me dirty looks." After a couple dodges around some mummies, she found herself next to Hotwire. "Yo what'd I miss? Why is the senior citizen home attacking us?"

Suzuki smirked when Hotwire gave the order to attack with blades. As the Titan that had gone the furthest into the mummy ranks, she was quickly becoming overrun and needed to strike back. Her inhuman eyes spotted every weakness of the enemies in front of her, and attacked accordingly. In under a minute, she'd declared a foothold in the enemies ranks with a few swipes of her sharp sword. She stood defensively, waiting for the mummies to get into her zone before slashing them back. "It's like there's no end to them..."

The fight was slow going, but they were making progress. It eventually got to the point that hotwire could notice there were only a few left.

Hotwire quickly did a head count. If everybody took out another 2, this fight would be settled. He touched his communicator. "If everybody can take on another 2, we can have this whole thing wrapped up. No pun intended." He said. He rushed forward with his bladed hands and cut up another, while planting an explosive disc on the other he had to take down. A couple seconds later, it detonated, ripping the linened foe to shreds.
