The beginning of something new (Moon)

It had been about a month since Leo chilled with Ella on the night out and today. A lot had happened since then, namely Leo getting kicked out of the house and leaving school and him becoming a paranormal detective. Now the events that lead up to this weren't anything minor. It all started one faithful day two weeks ago.

Leo got on the bus heading towards the school. He had been absent a few days, due to general laziness. Who knew all it took was a few court papers coming up to his front door and telling his parents that they would be fined for him skipping school? Suffice to say, Leo was given the whole go to school or get kicked out spiel. Leo would have just laughed it off and skipped anyway, but he noticed they were packing up his bags the night before. So he just decided to go.

On the bus he turned his head and looked out of the window. He was not looking forward to catching up all of his missed work in classes. He also wasn't looking forward to going to the B-team classes, or whatever it was. The class was a waste of his time. He felt he would be better off training his powers elsewhere rather than in a classroom with a bunch of numb nuts. Though it didn't seem like he had much of a choice.

The bus would reach to a halt as it arrived at its next stop. Leo decided he wasn't going to go to the class. Though he had a feeling they were the reason his parents got the court papers. So once he sat on the bus waiting for the bus to eventually take him to school.

The bus rolled into the school, slowly but surely Leo got out. He looked at what he once believed would be his kingdom. Though in a few weeks he had all but phased out and loss any power he had in the school. His influence was gone, now he was no better than the chess club. Actually he was below the chess club. So he decided to use tactic #1 to get through the day. Keep your head down and stay quiet. Leo was sure the opportunity to reclaim his fame would come, all it took was patience.

So without another word he would pull up his hood and start walking. He thought about how the school was going on without him. It made him feel, kind of empty inside. People that hated each other yesterday would be best of friends today. That was the point of being a hormonal teenager, from one extreme to the next.

Walking without looking always tends to lead to some sort of collision. Lady luck must of felt it would be fun to have Leo collide with someone on his way to class. Turning toward them, Leo noticed a familiar face as he opened his mouth to apologize. It was Ella, he hadn't seen her since that night. Though that may be due to the fact that he hadn't done much to try and contact her. "Sorry bout that." he said.

Leo watched as Ella escaped without a word. Leo reached out but in a moment she was gone. Without wasting too much time he would turn around and make his way back to his class. through out the day, Leo would keep his head down. Surprisingly enough the day went by pretty quickly, that is until he got to the B-team classroom.

Leo walked in and made his way to his seat. He began to wait for class to start.

When the class began, a teacher walked through the door. It wasn't the teacher Leo remembered taught the class. It was a female teacher for one, she stood around 5'8" and had short brown hair. From the way she walked to the front desk, Leo was sure that she was going to be a hard *#&. Well, at least she was attractive enough, Leo thought. Leo's eyes scanned the woman up and down. She wore what looked to be a black pant suit. He yawned. At least, he wouldn't have to hear any crap from the former teacher about his absences.

So when the roll was called, Leo would answer to his name and wait to see what they would be doing for the day. The woman after taking roll would scan the class. "Afternoon, I am substituting for your teacher today. From the instructions he left your task for the day should be under your desks." With that she would sit at the desk, pull out a romance novel and begin reading.

Leo raised his eyebrow. What kind of day is this? Just book work? Leo reached under his desk to find a note card under his desk. On the note card it said, 'Leo, your mission is to Patrol Central Park with Ella.' Leo cringed after he read the note card. Who knew he was going to sit here? How did the teacher know beforehand? She didn't pass out any papers did she? Leo would look back to Ella with a shrug. Getting up, he like many others began walking toward their partners for whatever mission they were embarking on.

"So, looks like we have to patrol central park?"

Once Leo got together with his partner his eyes narrowed. Ella's reaction gave Leo a hint that she was less than happy about being teamed up with Leo. That or she had a problem with the park. Leo opened his mouth to ask her what crawled up her butt and died, but she already started moving away. Leo shrugged. He wasn't going to let her mood get on his nerves. Shoving his hand in his pocket he would follow behind Ella.

So suffice to say, he followed Ella to her car. He would look over at his phone to check social media. Once again, nothing... Leo was sure that today would be a long one. Getting in the passenger seat, he would buckle himself in. He could feel the tension from the moment he got in the car. It made him feel uncomfortable to even be in the car. He wondered if he would be able to last until the park. He opened his mouth in order to dispel the miasma of awkwardness, but felt it thicken from the sound of his voice. So he closed his mouth. So instead he put on his headphones and began to listen to some music.

He would ride along until they got to the park. His question would have to wait until they weren't in a metal tin of life and death.

Leo looked over at Ella and raised an eyebrow. "After what?" he asked. He honestly didn't know what she was referring to. Especially since they didn't do anything the night she and he were together. Though before Ella could respond a crash could be heard from the middle of the park. Sighing, Leo began to run towards the crash. No telling what could be there.

When they arrive they would see what looked to be a large iron ball in the middle of the lake. Steam rising from the orb of iron. From the looks of it, it looked to be fired from quite a distance; the surface was quite hot.

Leo walked up to the orb and placed his hand on it. He quickly retracted it instantly. "Ouch... its pretty hot where did it come from?" Leo asked. He looked back at Ella, he was going to tell her to go and report it to the school; Suddenly the orb began to open and a large vortex appeared from the center. Before Leo could react he was quickly sucked inside of the vortex. He didn't even get a chance to scream as he was sucked inside. The vortex began to suck anything and everything into the iron ball.

Leo found himself in an entirely new place. it looked similar to Jump only there was a giant floating tower in the shape of a T in the middle of jump. Leo began to look around and began to wonder, where exactly was he?

Leo looked around. It looked like Jump, but it obviously wasn't. He looked over to Ella, "Maybe we should take a look around. Get our bearings or something?" he asked crossing his arms and looking around. He didn't exactly know just what was going on around here but something told him that he shouldn't go around playing superhero just yet. With that something began glowing in the distance. Looked like something was happening on the far side of jump. Though at the moment Leo was too busy conversing with Ella to notice.
