| Oh, Jump City was definitely a beautiful place. Those huge skyscrapers dominated the skyline, giving the place a certain urban splendor. At night especially, the place was impressively gorgeous, all the lights shining out over the waters of the bay.
But, beauty was in the eye of the beholder. Upon the hills, a group of larger than life men watched the city, watched it with scorn and distaste. Not for the city itself, but rather for the builders of it. They hated humans, hated their weakness, and their ability to be dominated so easily by threats greater than themselves. Yet, in recent centuries, champions had arisen, champions worthy of the splendor of true strength. And it was on these grounds that the ring of giants could justify their impending invasion.
Soon, they had marched down from the hills and to the shores of the city. There they stood on the empty stretch of sand, and their leader, armed with a staff made entirely of gold and gems, struck the ground with the butt of his cane. Immediately, in every household, on every street, everywhere within the city limits his voice could be heard.
"Hello, weak humans. My name is Titus, and I am the king of giants! Do be afraid, tremble, and quake in your boots, for unlike human kings, I will not try to soothe you with pacifist remarks. We are invading your territory, and I expect a fight! Send forth your greatest champions!" With that, he sat in a throne that suddenly appeared and he faced the city, his four compatriots beginning to smash things nearby.
In the skies, the roar of jet engines might be heard. A low flying, completely black craft circled overhead, far out of reach of the Giants below. Inside sat a young looking, black haired man with light silver eyes. For several months now, he had been gone from the city, ever since the conclusion of the California Republic's war with Russia. His Dean Industries had been working in the background, their defense technologies prevalent in much of the systems of national security for California. Though the face of the now megalithic company had been gone for many moons, the company had flourished in his absence, run by him through the means of another face, Yvonne Landers.
But the mysterious man in the plane was no other than William Dean. He stared down at the city- his city -with a serious expression. It had been a long time since he had taken its safety into his own hands, but now was a time better than no other to do so. He checked the screen in front of his eyes. It gave him data about the enemies below; their relative heights (all between seventy and sixty feet), though the particulars of their strength was unknown.
William sighed, and approached the now open door of the jet. He had no parachute on as he jumped out and into the cool night air. Manipulating the direction of his body carefully, skillfully, he dove through the air like a falcon. Some fifty feet before he would slam into the sandy beach, he bit into the tender place between his thumb and pointer finger, while simultaneously doing two other things; he slowed his descent some, by changing his body orientation so his feet pointed downwards, legs and arms spread. At the same time, a small package flew into the air in front of him.
The moment he began to bleed, from the sky came down a pillar of lightning, a green spark coiled around a red one to form one massive bolt, which struck the falling man and causing steam to billow out from the ball of light, and over the waves. A heavy object hit the water with massive impact, sending waves to the shore. The package from before landing somewhere on the massive beast's chest, it spread out like some liquid metal, covering the giant's nude form with a skintight black and silver suit, as well as causing a blue transparent visor to cover his eyes, some sort of screen. He let out a massive roar, signaling to the giant lords to take notice of the massive man, their first champion.
The Colossus had returned.

| As Collollus appeared, so too would a blue haired form, short and small even by normal human standards. Ironically,he was one of the stronger heroes of this city, with several abilities that tended to make his foes regret taking him.blurring onto the scene, he runs up the nearest gaint standing on its nose and glaring into its eye before drawing back and slamming his fist into its nose bridge with all his strength, channeling all the lightning he could into that blow. The halfling grins." Take that, you moron!!! You should know better than to mess with a Okamians pack den!!!" | |

| So far it was looking to be a pretty normal patrol, nothing was actually wrong, there were no crimes in progress at all. In fact, as Kane was just about to finish his patrol, he reflected on his day and he thought to himself, today was a peaceful da- HELLO WEAK HUMANS!!!!!! Kane was so taken by surprise that he actually fell over.
Kane listened to the rest of what the giants said and sighed, it never could just be a peaceful day could it? Kane started speeding in the direction of the giants, going over at top speed until he saw a giant and sped right under it's chin so that he could kick it with enough force to lift it off of the ground. Whether or not this was successful Kane would bounce on the spot to keep himself in the air so it would seem as if he was bobbing in the air I hear you wanted a champion? You're not getting anyone better for the role than me! he waited to see their response, taking note of his allies, a blue haired guy he had met before and a guy who REALLY ate their vegetables as a kid.
