The Will of Fire (NARUTO) (OPEN)

Suzaku looked over his home, the Village Hidden in the Leaves, or Konohagakure. Over the many past decades the Hidden Leaf Village had been home to many legends, which wasn't discounting the other nations, but it was important to Suzaku in particular, as his clan had finally started growing again. They still weren't as strong as they had been in the days of Naruto and Sasuke before the massacre, but there was at least three families now.

He was atop the Academy building that had the Fire Nation symbol emblazoned across it, the Hokage from the previous generations all staring at his back. He looked over the village- his village- from the tall height, a slight smile on his face. Below him- in the Hokage's office- discussions were going on about making him the next Hokage. He wasn't promised anything yet, but there were few other candidates.


Considering the position he was being recommended for, he could no longer teach Academy students or Genin. Not normally at least. And going on missions outside of the Land of Fire was out of the question. But they had decided to keep him busy with one assignment: the training of a "special" class Genin. In fact he had training with Ishimaru Ayumu soon.

He looked behind him, seeing no one. It seemed they weren't going to finish their discussion anytime soon, so he hopped down the steep fall, landing gracefully, and began walking through the village casually with his hands tucked into his pockets. He could wait until later.

Raikou jumps over the fence, laughing as the angry shopowner slams into it."You little theif!! Give me abck my....hat!!" The young fighter grins, balancing on the top as he adjusts his everconstant sword, Lightning Fang: on his back. He then beguns to humilate the shopowner by waving a wig in the air."Behold, ladies and gentlemen, the justice of the Lightning Strike! This is what happens to those who dare act the fool in my presence! Beware of a sharp tongue, or you might cut yourself as well!!" He laughs, and lets the wig go, hopping down and walking away. Rai wore an armored vest over a sleeveless shirt, the Naruto equivelent of cargo pants, and reinforced boots. The sun played over tribal markings on his face, and his overlong canines, the evidence of the Wanderer Clan.

As it fell before it landed in some dirt a girl catches it with one hand the other having chakra threads coming off it as a small cat like sized puppet landing in front of Raikou with lighting aura covering it seemingly staring him down to tell him to stay where he was. The girl also known a Sunaki handed the man his wig and leaped up on the fence staring at raikou. "Hey I know its no place of mine to say this but you should really apologize to that man it's not very nice to treat your elders like that. Now I'm going to ask you to apologize to this man and once you do I'll leave you be Zippy and I don't like rude people."

Suzaku walked up to an alley with a wooden fence, seeing a slight confrontation going on. He had heard noises coming from it; some kid shouting nonsense about justice and acting like a fool and sharp tongues and...just what was he talking about? He smiled to the two down the alley.

"Hey, you guys. Why don't you two just calm down? I'm sure there's no need for a fight...am I right?"

He walked slowly down the alley towards them, hands in his pockets. He had a hand on a kunai or two in case things went south.

Yugana heard the ruckus from within the nearby ramen shop. The chuunin finished her lunch, paid the shopkeep and poked her head outside. "Ehh? What's going on out there?" she muttered to herself as she walked towards the group. Said group appeared to comprise of two jounin and two genin, likely the jounin appeared to make sure the genin weren't up to anything.

"Afternoon, sensei and sensei." she nodded to Suzaku and Kasai respectively. She then turned her attention to the two genin. "So, what's all the ruckus about, eh?"

Sunaki saw the new people listening to them talk and then blinked having Zippy run back over to her and she picks him up. "Sorry I think there's a misunderstanding here as to who I am." She put him back into her pouch looking to Sukaku. "That guy there was terrorizing a shop keeper so I wanted him to apologize to the shop keeper I wasn't intending on really fighting him."

She then looked to Kasai "And no need to worry sir I'm not what I assume you mean one of your teams genin, I've never even been to any academy anywhere so I don't think I'm qualified, that and I'm just a visitor I don't belong to this village or any village for that matter." She looked around to all of them for a moment as she hopped down into the alleyway. "I'm sorry for the confusion."

Suzaku could only chuckle as Kasai got close to him, standing slightly behind him as she said that he hoped neither of the Genin before them were his own.

"Kasai. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it; both of these Genin choose to stay out of the program. Raikou-kun here is self-taught, and so is Okumka-san. Thank you, Okumka-san, for sticking up for our village in affairs that aren't your own."

He walked forward, waving briefly behind him to Yunagi, before staring down Raikou.

"It's okay to be independent, Raikou-kun. But because you aren't involved in our programs, Kasai and I here can't be too lenient on you for causing trouble...understand?" Suzaku had a smile on his face, and he legitimately meant well, but his eyes...his eyes were many shades of serious and intimidating. After a few more moments, he turned around to take his leave.

Rin had just passed the final exam. She was officially a Genin! She was so excited and couldn't wait to start training with a Sensei, but, then again, what Sensei would want her? Oh well, she would just go train until they found a team for her.

The small child was at the training grounds practicing her chakra concentration as well as throwing kunai. she even tried to wrap the chakra around the kunai and then threw them. She smiled at the results, but then realized how much that took out of her and sighed.

Soon, three boys in her same class came up to her and started picking on her. One of the boys finally shoved her and she fell to the ground. The other two smirked and they picked her up, just so that they could push her around in a circle. "S-stop, p-p-please..." One of the more aggressive ones took a kunai and started to cut her little by little and soon they were all doing it. The little girl just took it all and silently cried. She didn't want to hurt them. That would make her just as bad as them.

They only got a couple rounds in before they had a jounin leaning over their shoulders. He pulled them away by their ears back to the academy to revoke their genin status and put them all in detention with very hefty punishments.

Rin was left all alone in the training grounds, going straight back to practicing as if nothing had happened.

Nakamura Seiyo thought she was going to have a lovely day at the training field, but as she was taking a break from training, having run out of practice dummies she hadn't cut in half, she beheld something that horrified her. A group of new genin were bullying one of their classmates, pushing her around, Seiyo frowned, her grip on her sword tightened.

But it got even worse when the guys started cutting her! What kind of cowards did that to an innocent girl!?! Seiyo sheathed her sword and was about to move in, using a sheathed sword so that she didn't cut them, but then she spotted a jounin and instead ran over and brought his attention to the matter.

He took them away, leaving the girl to just carry on training like nothing happened, Seiyo frowned and walked over to her Hey there, I saw what happened, are you okay? she routed through her bag, taking out some healing ointment and presenting it to her This should help with the cuts, please take it

Ayumu opened the oven door, purring as a blast of warm air came from it before sliding in a tray of bread rolls to be cooked, closing it and turning around. It had been a tricky few months since her life began in Konoha, she had just been abandoned on the road with nothing but Shou and her suitcase of things, she knew it would be inevitable but she never expected for them to just leave her like that...once she had found Konoha she had spent a few weeks living on the streets, selling off the majority of her things in order to get enough money to eat. That was when Susaku had found her and helped her understand the ways of the village. He also had introduced her to people, one of those people being Uzura Taikanaka a 30 something year old man and the owner of the village bakery, he had recently lost his wife and had been looking for help in the bakery. Since then Ayumu had been working for him and earning her own money to help feed herself and her faithful black cat Shou, who had been there with her through everything, Shou was the only family she had left that she knew of, he had only joined her in the orphanage but he had protected her and been there for her in her times of need.

Ayumu gave a smile to Shou who was just sat in the open window, enjoying the warmth of the sun and the pleasant breeze "Ayumu, could you bring some more jam buns to the front?" called out Uzura's voice from the shop front "sure thing Uzura-oji" (uncle) she said with a smile as she picked up the cool tray of jam buns and brought it to the front, replacing the empty tray that was in the display counter to show off all the different breads and sweets people could choose "hey, don't you have your training soon?" he asked as Ayumu gasped a little "oh yeah I do! I totally forgot!" she said as Uzura chuckled "hard to think you did, I thought you really liked that guy who's teaching you" he said with a grin as Ayumu blushed her bluish shade a little "y-yeah he's pretty nice I guess..." she said as Uzura chuckled "it's okay kiddo, I won't tell anyone" he said with a wink, making Ayumu blush more "b-but I don't-" "go on, go wash up, you don't want to be late" he said as Ayumu nodded and went to clean up and wash the flour from her hands, picking up her training bag and hurrying outside, jogging past the window Shou was on "c'mon Shou!" she called out as the cat opened his eyes and jumped off from the window ledge, running alongside Ayumu as she headed to the training field.

Suzaku appeared in the training grounds, looking at the two Genin over at the kunai and shuriken practice area, touching the arm of the Jounin on his way over.

"Hey, what's going on here?"

The Jounin looked at him and nodded briskly.

"Rin was attacked by these two Genin."

Suzaku blinked, before smiling gently.

"Please. Don't be too hard on them. I don't like bullying ei-"

"Forgive me for being so brazen, Uchiha-san...but these Genin cut her up with kunai."

Suzaku froze, as if confronted with something so revolting that he wasn't sure he even wanted to puke.

"... Yes. Move along." He stared at the two Genin maliciously. "You two are trash. You're a disgrace for everything Konohagakure stands for." His Sharingan glowed slightly as the Jounin shivered. "I hope you are severely punished. Maybe not harmfully... But ninja who would betray their comrades are the lowest form of scum."

Hoping he had at least scared them out of ignorance a bit, the Jounin nodded, before handing Suzaku a scroll. Suzaku briskly nodded, storing it in a pouch, as he walked over to the two genin, smiling gently.

"Hello, kids. What are your names?" He knew them already, always interested in the next generation of ninja coming. But he wanted them to be able to introduce themselves.

Rai winces as everyone gets onto him, then grins."ehehehehehehhehh...I wouldn't have hassled him if he hadn't called me a freak and said my father was never coming back.....Still, sorry for the trouble, everybody...."He gulps as Suzako looks at him.'Crudcrudcrud....he's very mad......' Rai bows low, his hands tracing the Wanderer sign of apoligies in the air."S-sir....Yes....next time I'll be a bit mroe....civilized....in my complaints." He sighs in releif as thevery itmidating guy walks away.Looking around, the Wanderer grins, jumpiong up onto a roof."well, I''m gona head to the training grounds....Just because I'm not offical doesn't mean I can't spar....." He runs away, heading to the training grounds. Watching him, the shopkeeper grumbles."Annoying little freak...."

A little later, Raikou hops down onto the training ground, looking around in a widened grin."hey, is there anyone who wishes to spar? I gotta get some practice in!!" He walks over to the two genin and Suzuka, shuffling around as he begins to bob his head, hearing music in his head.

Rin blinked when Seiyo came up to her and flinched in natural instinct as she brought something out of her bag. When she offered her the ointment though, Rin blushed brightly. "R-really?? A-are you sure you wanna give this to me??" The little girl took it gratefully and smiled up at Seiyo as if she had just given her all the gold in the world. "Th-thank you so much!!"

Just as she was about to introduce herself, an elite ninja approached them and she thought she was going to get in trouble for enticing those boys or something. But then he asked for their names with a smile. It took Rin by surprise. Maybe they would actually like her now that she was a genin! The girl smiled softly and raised her hand. "M-my name is Rin O-Omari..." She then bowed deeply with respect and fear. "I-it's an honor to meet you!"

Seiyo didn't miss the way the girl flinched, either the attack today had affected her greatly, or, even worse, she was used to being abused like she had been and could tell when it was coming. Seiyo still couldn't help but smile when she saw the look on the girl's face as she accepted the ointment.

Seiyo heard footsteps from behind her and turned around, seeing the man walking over to them, she recognized him in a second, how could she not after all? He was Suzaku Uchiha, a man so well known and famous that he was a candidate to be the next hokage! He walked up to them and asked them to introduce themselves, the girl who revealed herself to be called Rin seemed intimidated, but Seiyo had no such problems, as one with more experience as a shinobi, she was used to talking to her superiors in a respectful way Good afternoon Sensei, I am Seiyo Nakamura
