Powers:
Lightning Magic – Raiko's specialty is using electricity-based magic. With the advancements of the modern world, she found that there are more applications for her electricity than the outright destruction she was used to. In its most basic form, she can discharge electricity from her hands and fingertips as bolts or channel it through a conductor (Up to 900k volts). They carry enough power to stun or paralyze most living creatures and can disable machines by overloading them. Naturally, channelling electricity through her body is as normal to her as breathing air. She suffers no harm from being subject to electrical currents.
*Spell: Lightning Walk – She can briefly turn into a lightning bolt to travel a distance, similar to teleporting. In this state she is unable to attack anyone or anything but can travel through electrical conductors. If she comes in contact with anything biological or an insulator, she is forced back to her normal form. This has a five minute cool down.
*Spell: Ball Lightning – She takes a few seconds to gather a large amount of electricity into a sphere before launching it at her target. The sphere explodes on impact, dealing damage and emulating an EMP-like effect in a 10 sq. meter area. This has a five minute cool down.
*Spell: Wolf Familiar – Raiko can summon a wolf familiar made of lightning. This familiar has the ability to travel through electrical conductors. Direct contact with this familiar results in experiencing an electric shock equivalent to a stun gun. She can control it up to a range of 1 mile. She can sense what her familiar can sense. It can regenerate from most damage short of losing a body part in just a few seconds by leeching power from an electrical source.

Illusory Magic – Raiko's original ability is using illusions, however this magic was weakened when she obtained her lightning magic. Nowadays, she mainly uses it to stay out of sight of humans while she watches them.
*Spell: Cloaking – This spell renders her completely invisible, conceals her scent and also cancels out any noises she makes. It is deactivated the moment she discharges electricity, touches someone or if she moves faster than 20 mph. When cancelled, she is unable to use it again for ten minutes.

Inugami Physiology – As a Kami, Raiko's physical capabilities are superior to that of normal humans. She can lift half a ton, leap 5 meters in a single bound and run at 45 mph.
*Sub: Dog Senses – Her sense of smell and hearing are on par with the best hunting dogs.
*Sub: Dog Speak – She can communicate with dogs, wolves and any other canine.
*Sub: Enhanced Condition – As a Kami, her body is highly resistant to impurities and contamination such as poison and disease. She can even consume large amounts of alcohol and never get drunk. At worst they will be a minor inconvenience. All such contamination are eventually purged from her body without fail after a few hours.

Personality:
Raiko can be described as playful, mischievous and whimsical. She is a trickster at heart and is amused by the misfortune of others. Her mischief however is one that is loosely based on karma. If a rich man and a poor man were to encounter her, it is likely going to be the rich man whom she will target with one of her pranks.

She is very protective of her belongings and will inflict due punishment to whoever touches her things without permission. Her territorial nature extends to anyone she would consider a friend so it is best not to get involved with anything she owns, whoever you may be.

Despite her impish character, she honors promises and favors. She does however dislike being in debt and so she tries her best to repay what she owes as soon as possible. As one might expect, her dealings with others are almost always to her advantage.

History: Raiko first came into existence several hundred years ago as minor deity. She took on the form of a dog god because a dog was used in the first ritual that invoked her power. She had a small but faithful following who enjoyed good fortune in the form of misfortune befalling their enemies. As decades passed, this somehow led to elevating their treatment of her as that of a god of war. As a god’s power was tied to people's beliefs, she experienced quite an upgrade in abilities. It was not something she would say no to, though deep down she was still a goddess of mischief at heart. She did appreciate that her new status led to the construction of a shrine just for her.

The world she lived in was one where gods, spirits and yokai were an everyday existence. It was a place that could best be described as fun and there was never a dull moment. Playing with the fates of mortals was an acceptable and normal pastime and bragging rights often went to those who could garner the most believers or cause the most interesting twists in history. On the day she became a "god of war" and had her new shrine built, she threw a party. Her friends all pestered her on how she did it. She never did say and the event simply became something to laugh about in future conversations.

In the next few centuries, she found that with her new powers came bigger opportunities to make noteworthy marks in history. For instance, a freak thunderstorm stops an invasion from the sea; or spies from another land being led astray in a forest by wolves. One thing that did not change was how there was always trick or element of deceit the way she worked her wonders. She always had an amusing story to tell and was normally well-received by other deities despite her wiles and devious exploits.

Unfortunately, those good days were not meant to last. For a world inhabited by fairly strong beings, it came as quite a shock to the deities there when they were suddenly attacked by a powerful and mysterious unknown force. For Raiko in particular, that day would be one that would forever change her life. At least it would change where she lived. She was missing most of her memories of that event. All she remembered was that the very realm itself was fractured and the land where her shrine was built was flung into the dimensional abyss. The next thing she knew, she was waking up in her shrine but in an unfamiliar new place, feeling a tad weaker than before.
