Powers and Special Abilities:
Raiven is a natural athelete just like his father before him, though he did not grow up in a circus rigorously trained by his mentor in everything from escapology to criminology, fencing, stealth, disguise, and numerous other combat/non-combat disciplines. As he grew his training intensified and he went from learning basics like gymnastics, weightlifting, swimming and track to more indepth things such as how to use gadgets and technology to aid him. As he progressed and grew his powers from his mother began to stir and began to show. Raiven is a master of a half-dozen martial arts disciplines (including aikido, savate, judo, and capoeira) with an emphasis on aikido, as well as being armed with twin Eskrima sticks made from an unbreakable polymer.
Soul Self: Raiven can project a black embodyment of himself leaving his physical body in a safe place. This allows him to spy on his enemies, go into others minds and enter his own spot of meditation which helps train his mind.
Teleportation: Like his mother he can teleport but unlike her his teleportaion is not queit as far as hers. Where as hers could go across worlds Raiven has only learned to port with in a 20-30 yard radius.
Emontional Dispersement: The ability to manipulate others emotions by removing them completely and allowing them to feel nothing at all.
Flight: As it plainly says Raiven lik ehis mother has the ability to take flight and go where he pleases.
Equipment:
Raiven’s current costume is made of a version of the Nomex fire-resistant, triple-weave Kevlar-lined material. It is an excellent protection against damage, and is also light sensitive, darkening when there is more light in the area. The mask, in the form of his symbol, is fixed in place with spirit gum, and includes a built-in radio transmitter/receiver and Starlite night-vision lenses.
His gauntlets and boots each contain eight compartments in which he can store items. They have a self-destruct feature built into them, similar to the ones in Batman's utility belt, and, as another security measure (specially when the hero is unconscious), the suit contains a one-use-only taser charge, which automatically emits a low-amperage electrical shock when someone attempts to tamper with either the boots, gauntlets, or both. Each gauntlet's sections can contain a wide array of equipment, such as sonic or smoke pellets, modified wingdings aka modified batarangs (ravenrangs), knockout gas capsules and throwing tracers. Like the gauntlets, his boots could carry vital elements like flares, a rebreather as protection against any airborne noncontact toxins, a mini-computer equipped with fax, modem, GPS and a minidisk rewritable drive. Other items were lock picks, a first aid kit, a mini-cellphone, antitoxin assortment, signal flares, wireless listening devices and a small halogen flashlight.
He also carries a pair of escrima sticks made from an unbreakable polymer that are wielded as both offensive and defensive weapons, and can be thrown to knock out an enemy.
Raiven like his mom also have a long cloak that was developed by his father referred to as a "para-cape" which gives him the ability to glide in case he is knock unconscious and falls to the ground his cape will serve as a last ditch effort to save him. His cloak is also made of the same material of his costume giving it the same damage resistance.
Bio:
After Raiven's birth his parents set out to take a break from the Teen Titans as well as the Justice League in order to spend the up most time with their child. Raivens years seemed to fly by for his parents and as he grew he proved to be as smart as his father and as powerful as his mother. To ensure that his powers would never become to hard for him to handle and so he understood them as well as his background Raven and Nightwing took to training their Raiven themselves.
Grayson taught him escapology to criminology, fencing, stealth, disguise, and numerous other combat/non-combat disciplines as well as helping him become a master of a half-dozen martial arts disciplines (including aikido, savate, judo, and capoeira. Raiven grew strong and extremely agile. His speed though human was inhuman. He could out run the fastest track stars and hold his speed for a greater distance. And though his strength was not limitless his new founds powers from his mother side sure seemed to be.
Raven took several hours a day just teaching her son how to meditate and properly channel his powers and keep them in check. Though unlike Raven he did not have the troubles of Trigon living with in him so his soul was at peace but just as anyone with powers like him there comes a great responsibility.
As the years went on he learned how to create a “soul self”, teleport and even use a empathy removal power he had recentally aquired. The move allowed him to take emotions from people and leave them sort of blank with no feelings at all. Some said that when he used it it made their bodies go slightly numb and they felt extremely cold like an ice cube.
On his 16th birthday Raiven awoke to a great explosion outside of his home. The Teen Titans we at war with what seemed to be at least 50 different people. As he quickly set to dress in his costume to run and join them his room sealed itself in a black sphere and ported. His mother had saved him from the fight. By the time he came back to his home the only thing left was a few scraps from Cyborgs broken body and a battle scared land. No signs of survivors of any kind had been left.
Raiven searched for days and used his powers to great lengths looking for his friends and family and still found nothing. The only thing he can figure is that the image of the two men etched into his mind on that dark day had to know where his family was, he had to find Brother Blood and Slade! And he would rest at nothing till his family was safe and back where they belonged.
