She dreamt of being a monster, because then she would be free.

Transformation is a thing with this character, gained to give her freedom. Her powers are specific, but malleable - the exact details are not important exactly.

The Furious Galvora

The Furious Galvora Tumblr_static_sadfsa_zpsa40c8bd8

===IDENTITY===

Full Name: Sophitia A. Michaels
Nickname(s): Sophie
Codename: Galvora
Alias(es): The Furious Galvora,
Age: 16
Classification: Supernatural monster (a creature called a Lune)
Affiliation: Neutral Good (She does what she can for people, tries to do the right thing, maintain integrity, and uphold the SPIRIT of the law (as she understands it) but heaven help the bugger who tries to hide behind the law to do something wrong - she'll go after them without a moment's pause.)

===PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION===

Hair Color: White
Eye Color: Green
Height: 5 foot 3
Weight: 110-ish
Other Traits: Sophie appears to be of Korean descent, with pale bronze skin and almond shaped eyes that almost glow with their vibrance. She is highly athletic, seriously defined. She has a bit of body fat that fills her shape out a little, but it does nothing to deter her willowy frame from looking graceful, lithe like a cat, though not exceedingly femenine. She tends to forego makeup, and makes sloppiness of appearance look stylish by attitude alone - not disheveled hair, wild hair, see?  That kind of thing. She moves like a predator, eyes flashing and lips parted in a little grin like she's heard a saucy joke.

===POWERS===

Powers:

Sophie has the unusual and supernatural ability to transform herself into a monster. The ability is magical in origin, but not in application - simply a part of who and what she is as opposed to some kind of spellcraft. The ability was given to her by an ancient moon-god of change, a being called Seroficitacit, and Sophie is one of his chosen - a creature called a Lune. The god is neither good nor evil - he merely demands that she causes upheaval in the order of things, changes the world around her, and to not only use but to empower his gift to her by its use. It is part of her. It has limits, and she can train to push them with no more supernatural difficulty than a powerlifter. He has some influence on her, though...

Shapeshifting: She can change forms up to three times in a single day - going from monster to human doesn't count. She can make her choices once from Form, Defense, and Power per transformation. To change it again, she must transform again.

Form: The body of the monster comes in all shapes and sizes. She can grow up to the size of a bus, reduce herself to the size of a medium dog, have up to six limbs in any combination of arm, leg, fin, tentacle, or wing, and that doesn't count neck length, says nothing about tails, and doesn't even mention the abilities she could gain thus. Regardless, she has reasonable restraints on mobility based on form and function. On the ground (at her own size) she can push 35-40mph and a bigger form has the potential to be faster. In the water, she can go at just above dolphin speeds regardless of size, so long as she is configured for aquatic movement (with gills as a distinct possibility). Flight is tricky - she can do it, but she can't make herself much larger and have more agility than a thrown brick. She can fly at maybe 30 miles per hour, faster if she has a smaller form.

((Summary:
--Sophie can be any size from that of a medium dog of 45 lbs to that of a bus, weighing in at 4 tons.

--Sophie can climb, run, fly, swim, or burrow depending on what appendages and shape she has, usually no faster than 30-40 miles per hour. Adaptations to her environment (like gills) are not unreasonable
))

Defense: Sophie's body can be made to adapt to a variety of circumstances depending upon what she needs. A thick hide to take a tank shell (and get knocked flat on her ass as opposed to blown to kingdom come) isn't unreasonable, nor is a shaggy coat of blue fur to protect her from frosty blasts. She can adapt to elemental sources of harm or physical forces - one such per transformation, giving her stark resistance (though NOT immunity) to it, or two, giving her decent protection against them both. In addition, while she is conscious or otherwise, her body is constantly seeking to extricate itself from injury. It heals at Expert level. - all minions of Seroficitacit do, too. The regeneration can be stopped by Silver.

((In summary:
--Sophie can make a monster form's hide adapt to a single physical or elemental force - give her strong resistance to it, or to two, with lessened results.

--Sophie is a regenerator of Expert level.
))

Power: Sophie can make her body into a weapon. Sort of the point, really - she is meant to be. Claws, fangs, spines, beaks, horns, or other  bony ramming protrusions, you name it, she can make and use it. These sorts of weapons are her bread and butter, as vicious and primal as they are. On a large form, she can make talons or fangs strong enough to score into metal and rend a car to bits in seconds. Then comes the physical power of her forms. Think of it like a scale of 5 - 5 strength, 5 agility, 2 to spare. Raising one to 7 or both to 6 is free, or she can dip one to increase the other - the more power a form has, the less agility it has and vise versa. At her top of 10 strength, she can heft 1 ton with ease in a form her size (less for smaller, more for bigger at a 1-1 ratio, meaning she could heft about 8 tons at her maximum size, or 500 lbs at her minimum.) the increases or decreases are mathematical. As for agility, she is roughly catlike at 5. At 10, she could bend herself into a knot (almost) and move with uncanny grace.

((Summary:
--Sophie can form deadly natural weapons - claws, fangs, you name it. If she's big, she can be a serious threat to armored vehicles.

--Sophie can modify her body's strength and agility in different forms, as detailed.
))

Skills:

Visual arts: Sophie has a natural talent for visually expressing herself.

Mental Toughness: This girl is a tough cookie inside - she can put up with a boatload of hurt and still hiss her defiance. Changing form alot, regenerating, it can do that to you.

Bestial fury: Sophie knows what she's doing in a fight. In full swing, she is a screeching flurry of mayhem and death. It's not scientific, not much beside someone who can fight moderately well, but by sheer brutal aggression she does well.

Instincts: Sophie didn't just become a Lune - she got instincts in the bundle package. She can feel changes in the weather, geological instabilities, that kind of thing, but she can also tell a Lune from another creature and see Seroficitacit's workings in the world clearly for what they are.

Weaknesses:

--No matter what, Sophie is Sophie. Her colorations, even if the beast changes in a thousand ways, she will always be Sophie. That means her eyes will always be green, and her hair as a human or hide as the monster will always be white and silver.

--Transformations hurt. Nothing helps that doesn't cloud her mind. Sure she could take enough morphine so nothing hurts, but then you'd have a big monster that lollygags about. She can only transform a few times from one form to another before it hurts too much to push herself further.

--The first transformation is easiest (just painful like sore muscles) and takes a couple seconds. The second is much more painful (like a whole body toothache), but all her abilities remain intact and the change takes seven to ten seconds. In the third she is pushing herself to her limits. It is blindingly painful (like being on fire), and her regeneration slows considerably for at least several minutes. Changing to her third form is a terrible gamble, and takes over a minute to accomplish.

--Silver hurts her, like a werewolf. It can even stop her from changing shape while she is injured by it or stop her from healing wounds rapidly like she usually would.

--Moonlight... affects her. It can't make her transform into a monster as it might a werewolf, but direct moonlight, especially full moonlight, fills her with a chaotic vitality that makes everything a bit sharper, clearer, more vibrantly real... And engenders loss of self control when using her powers as the beast resonates. She fears this, and has a strong urge not to use her powers in these circumstances. Everything just... feels too good, with too-little control.

--Fire... The fire isn't especially harmful to a creature like her... But the Beast, the Monster inside her that is the sum of the instincts and powers Seroficitacit gave her, is TERRIFIED of it. If she's shapeshifted, fire can panic and terrify her - she can either give up the power of the Monster and become human-shaped, or flee. There is no middle ground.

--In the light of the moon, fire will even panic her as a human - everything is too intense to resist it.

--Seroficitacit is not her friend. She isn't his priestess - she's one of his daughters. He is not a nice guy. Again, he is not evil, not as such, but he is certainly a being of true chaos, caring nothing for the loss of life his gifts cause, nor what the bearers of said gifts do with their potency. He is a primal god, elemental even, and just occasionally she must contend with his monstrous will, and the machinations of those who more seriously serve him - As if he cares, one way or another. He can attempt to compel her, he can hurt her for defying his will, and even press her towards things she might not usually do because simply put, she is his progeny now. She can defy him, fight his children, and serve her own purposes... but his power over her is like a parent calling you by your full name.

--Sophie is not a human, not anymore. She *must* use her powers, one way or another, to survive and be healthy. More than that, she must seek to change things, to alter her surroundings. If she doesn't... It's a bit like a human being's need to be around other humans - if they can't, they sort of shut down, go unhinged. It's that kind of need. There are a slew of urges and impulses that need to be reigned in for her to be safe around people.

--Sophie is impatient, simple of heart and intention. She can be devious in a fight, she can be logical and practical when the situation requires it, but she's bad at plots, deceptions, and lies. Striaghtforward - that's the way. Sophie gets frustrated in the face of anything else.

Equipment:

A pair of sweatpants and a teeshirt with a nice comfy jacket, or a nice simple pullover dress are favorites - easy to remove in a hurry so she can transform on demand.

Weapons aren't her style, but a knife or other blade is natural to her. A physical weapon is always second choice though...

===PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE===

Personality:
Sophitia Michaels, also known as Galvora, is a wild child, a type A personality that likes to charge and consider things later. Sure, she might charge off in the wrong direction, maybe get herself into trouble, but that's another problem! Bad stuff doesn't happen to her - SHE happens to OTHERS!

Sophie isn't a patient or delicate person - if she's not charging headlong, she feels like she's not doing things right. Hands-on, that's the way! She's lax on ideas like 'proper', or 'time management', but spot-on in regards to things like 'loyalty' and 'right/wrong'. Subtlety is not her cup of tea, but you could trust her with your life or a dime, if you are her friend.

Sophie may be clever, but she's not all that intelligent. She's humanity flipped on its side, see? She sees things differently from humanity proper, experiences the world more like an animal - everything is about sensations and emotions. She doesn't LIKE to bother with complicated moral dilemmas, and quickly grows frustrated when dealing with them. Occam's Razor is her tool of choice.

There is an unreasonable, unbending fury in her heart and soul when it comes to organized crime. It was mob activity that sank her entire chance at a normal life, that killed her mother, that corrupted everything she cared about as a child. Faced with mobsters, she is as black and white as is possible - she has no tolerance for the mob, and will hunt them like animals. There is a lot of hurt there - a lot of rage and pain she doesn't know how to deal with, mostly directed at her father (whom she blames).

Strengths:

Sophie is persistent. It's hard to demoralize her.

Sophie is very flexible, mentally speaking - she's not a world class thinker, but she's kinda devious on her feet!

Sophie is loyal like a dog is loyal - faithful, affectionate, and stalwart. She protects what she deems as hers viciously, and will go to extraordinary lengths to protect those she cares about.

Interests/Habits:

Visual self-expression(she paints, draws, sculpts, and crafts. Her work conveys strong emotions with feral purity tempered by human understanding.)

===PERSONAL BACKGROUND===

Family Members: Victoria Anna Michaels (Mother, deceased), Seung Jin (Father), Molly Seung (Stepmother), Jason Seung (half-brother, eldest), Victoria Seung (Half-sister, middle), Joshua Seung (Half-brother, youngest) ((Sophie doesn't know about her stepmother or half-siblings - nor do they know about her).
Place of Origin: Metropolis, though she was brought to California during her coma for the help of a brilliant pediatric doctor who specialized in the brain.

History:
Sophie was the result of an affair between a wealthy businessman in Metropolis, and his mistress. Sophie was initially kept for political reasons - so her mother, Victoria, could gain political leverage over Seung Jin. Well... it didn't work out like that. Seung Jin would never hurt Victoria - he loved her, even if he knew that this was her intention. The man who owned him though - that is to say the crimelord of Metropolis City, Alexis Voshkov - had... plans other than to let "some glorified cheap hooker" get in the way of his good business. When he found out about it, it didn't take him a week to order the hit on Victoria Michaels.

The assassination was a success - but Sophie, 9 at the time, had taken a bullet to the brain... and lived. Jin was consumed by grief... but Voshkov played it as a favor to his happy family, and though it destroyed him... he could say nothing about the girl to his wife, whom he'd cheated on to have her. But he had connections... and whisked the girl away, to a private hospital, far away from the troubles of Metropolis. And the girl has been comatose since.

But what about Sophie's perspective? What was all this to her? Well...

Victoria was mom. Plots and ploys be damned... childbirth does things to a person, and Victoria could not let the daughter be a thing, a tool to make money. She raised the girl on her own, and made good of it - Young Sophie was a bubbly, active youth with everything she could have hoped for. She never knew about any of this plot - and still doesn't, to this day. At least... not all of it.

In her coma, she was approached by a... being... a thing from somewhere else, unbelievably potent, and it showed her things... showed the girl the man who was her father, showed him with a cold expression standing over her mother's casket, showed her the path of his corruption, and showed her the crimelord... and Seroficitacit twisted it, and then gave the girl a choice.

"Stay in the dark, child" he said "Stay in the dark, stay, little one... and you may never wake up. Or make this change. Make the men who hurt you, who killed your mother, make them pay. Be mine... and make them pay."

She took his offer, grasped the shapelessness of the primal god's being... and was changed.

Sophie recovered rapidly after that - in minutes, she was awake, tore her way through the door of her room, savaged a nurse with a food tray, ran screaming down the hall in her birthday suit, and jumped out a four story window - regardless of the safety glass that was in her way.
