Powers:

Super speed: Sonic can run at supersonic speeds in high excess of 900 miles an hour in normal conditions. This amazing feat gives him the ability to break the sound barrier with ease. Because of this Sonic's resilience in his legs and heart is off the map. He can run for days and days at half speed before showing hints of fatigue and even then, he recovers rather fast. Sonic’s legs are also powerful enough to let him jump 2 or 3 stories high.


Rings: Sonic can also use a variety of rings that he carries to summon barriers, shields, or allows him to do a spin attack to help him get a job done he only has three barriers that he can use: The Aqua barrier, The lightning shield, and the fire shield. The aqua barrier allows Sonic to breathe underwater indefinitely without fear of drowning. It allows Sonic to quickly plummet downward and bounce in mid-air, It has the ability to repel certain projectiles, not including spiked projectiles and explosives or swords. Once damage is taken, the shield will disperse. The Lightning Shield negates electrical-based damage and allows his attacks to have a bit of a electric add on its strong enough to just shock someone, but once non-electrical damage is taken, the shield will disperse. The Fire Shield negates any fire-based damage for the character wearing it, such as fireballs and lava and gives sonic attacks a bit of a flame add on once non-fire damage is taken, the shield will disperse. The spin attack Ring allows sonic to spin at high speeds in a ball form the ball moves fast enough to cut through steel.


Superhuman Resilience: He also has astounding resilience to severe blows and it takes a tremendous amount of damage infliction for him to go down for the count. This is especially true once he’s set his mind on a goal; only the most life threatening injuries will stop him from pressing onward. Sonic has an outstanding immune system as well, capable of recovering from illness so quickly that it makes one wonder how he can become sick in the first place.

Weaknesses:

Highly impatient. Sonic has an awful habit of walking (or in his case, running) blindly into dangerous situations without thinking them through (even more so when upset, thanks to his short temper), which has put him in great danger more than once. Usually though, his quick thinking and speed gets him out of trouble.

Cannot swim. He sinks like a stone in water.

He is not immune to diseases or poisons while they get out of his system faster he still affected by the diseases and poisons the same way as everyone else

Sonic is also not much stronger then a normal human, When it comes to battles of brute strength Sonic is usually on the losing end of that battle.

Sonic can only use one shield ring at a time and can only use another chip 10 minutes after the first shield disperse.

Sonic will also do almost anything for a chilidog, and by anything I mean anything that won't compromise his morals.

Sonic is like the wind: unpredictable, always at some other place and never congregating in one location for too long. Sonic is a carefree, easy going, and laidback young boy who likes nothing more than to just venture across the endless boundaries of the world and enjoy his prized freedom

Sonic is also sassy and quick-witted with a passion for just enjoying life, leaving the past behind, and to always move forward without regrets. He's smooth, cool and popular, and tends to let this get to his head from time to time, possessing a somewhat narcissistic tongue. This behavior makes him look like an ass sometimes, whether he realizes it or not. However, he is quite a gentleman and has good manners and an air of politeness. Well...when he feels like it, anyway. He usually just sees such forms of etiquette as a major bore.

History:
Sonic wasn't born by traditional means. He was originally created by scientist and was apart of the S project. Their goal was to create a perfect life form using the human form as a base, This idea created Sonic the first artificially created "perfect life form." Or so they thought, Unfortunately Sonic had a few short comings his temper, his inability to swim, and his overall basic strength was low compared to other heroes. So once they decided to get rid of Sonic, he chose to broke out, using his high speeds he was able to steal some of the shield chips the lab had and ran away. Once he got outside he began to see how beautiful the world was and decided to explore it. After about 2 or 3 months he ended up in Jump City.

How much damage does it take to put him down? A punctured lung? Being hit over the head a few times?
Sinking like a stone is not a weakness if a ring can allow him to breathe underwater, as water then poses no threat.
