Sidekicks

They say every Batman has his Robin but every Hero I've seen on this sight has no Robin. This thread is to talk about sidekicks and also maybe help hero obtain a sidekick by posting something like a wanted poster. For a starting off discussion I'd like to talk about how most sidekicks help out heros and viceversa.

(I'm not a site leader so this is simply opinion)

I'm not objecting to this idea its just that most of our characters are sidekick age. With the exclusion of some ex. Honest.
And not all our heroes are experienced enough to have one. Now like the age thing there are exceptions. If you truly want to use the Batman & Robin statement you have to understand there was a period of time where Batman worked alone and developed his skills before ever enquiring a sidekick because his skills were barely able to handle his own safety. Let alone his own sidekick.
Now I could understand having a cannon character take up a custom as a sidekick but not a custom and a custom. I can understand a mutual partnership but not a hero, sidekick relationship unless the hero (I'm talking custom hero) is matured and skilled enough.
This is strictly my opinion on the matter. And it may be kinda cool if other RPers start doing it but I simply see no need for it. I may change my mind depending on other things I hear about it but for now I see no point.

Josh said it all. Still a duo or partnership rather than a team could be good. Especially with the hive or a random team up with a canon character for storyline.

Josh I knew all that already but my point is if any hero that is experienced enough came by they could use this thread to get a side kick and what not. but thanks for pointing that out.

I can't really see teenagers having sidekicks working. If anything the teenagers are more likely to be sidekicks than to have sidekicks

maybe we could have a age limit thing like you have to be this old to have sidekick and this exspirenced and anyone under that age can be sidekicks

Alight i got a question for you all. How old, experianced, machure, in contorl of their powers, ect. do you think a hero would have to be to get a sidekick?

Enough to be known by villains and heroes in a lot of different places, over the age of 18, skilled enough to hold their own against pretty much any villain for a decent amount of time, exp. enough in more than just one style of anything and has to of course be superior to said sidekick.

I have another question now should we make a list of heros who meet the require ments? and basicly have people who think their charater fits give their heros name and what not so we can keep trak of the heros who can now have sidekicks so any heros who dont fit and want to be a side kick know who to go to?

That's the problem...No one is really playing a hero here over 18 who could even be a mentor. Other than Emblem, krious and a few of the older Titans.

well paige is about to get sent to an alternate demention and go threw 3 years making her 19 and return but to the others it would be 3 mounths and Paige also has muchured alot and meet all require ments exect being very well know. Now what I'm getting at is we sould make that list now so when alot of people hit over 18 we arent over welmend then. And even though theres not many heros who meet now maybe if the heros who dont can become sidekicks machure faster so when they do hit over 18 they can get their own side kick.

Tim is 18 and is kinda a hero, he'd make a good mentor for someone wanting to make a more pragmatic hero. if anyone is interested.
