===POWERS===

Power(s): Nikolai has the ability of electrokinesis, which is the power to manipulate energies, electrical currents, and generate static electricity with the mind. His maximum capacity for energy storage is 300 megawatts, just under a third of what an average nuclear power plant produces. He doesn’t maintain an infinite well of energy. Nikolai can run out, and when he does, he is reverted back to being completely normal and is much more in danger of dying. However, whenever he runs out of energy, he is able to absorb the electrical energies around him, refueling his abilities. He can absorb electrical energy from special beings with similar powers, but they can do the same to him. It is a one-way street, and if he attempts to absorb the energies of someone else, they are able to do the same. If he does not make any attempt, then his opponents cannot make any attempt as well.

Absorption can be a dangerous thing if done uncontrollably. If he gains over fifty more megawatts than his carrying capacity, he is in danger of harming those around him. The erratic and uncontrollable nature of the electricity he harbors will have shocking consequences to those in the vicinity. If he absorbs a hundred more megawatts than the normal capacity, it will force Nikolai into a forced mental shutdown, causing him to fall unconscious and release the excess energy in the form of kinetic energy that has a blast radius that is dependent upon the amount of excess energy being released. Anything more than two-hundred megawatts over the capacity will lead to bodily failure, releasing an immense amount of kinetic energy with a mile blast radius and killing Nikolai in the process. Here is a list of tricks he could perform with this ability:

-Shock Blast: Nikolai can fire a stream of electrical energy, resembling a controlled variant of lightning, from his index and middle finger. All he has to do is charge up for three seconds, mimic a gun with his hands, and shoot. Each stream of electricity can last up to ten seconds at a time and travel a hundred feet before dissipating into weak static. This ability costs five megawatts to perform.

-Shock Burst: Much like Shock Blast, Nikolai must mimic a gun using his hands and shoot. The only difference is that there is no charge time and the electricity excreted from his fingertips shoots out in six-inch increments. Nikolai can shoot in six round bursts, traveling fifty feet before dissipating. This form of electrical energy is not as accurate as the shock blast and costs two megawatts to perform.

-Shockwave: Nikolai released an electromagnetic pulse with a blast radius of half a mile, shutting down all electronic devices in the vicinity. This takes up ten megawatts of power and must be charged for ten seconds to take proper effect. The electronic devices are then inoperable for one hour, until the static electricity in the air has completely cleared. Any and all organic organisms will not be affected in any way by the electrical energy in the air.

-Overload: Nikolai charges up for five seconds and releases an explosion of electrical energy around him. The blast radius for this ability is twenty feet and it requires ten megawatts to perform. Once the explosion has cleared, there will be trace amounts of unnoticeable, yet strong, electric currents for five seconds in the area where the electrical explosion took place. This acts as a five second delay for all electronic devices in the vicinity.

-Polarize: Nikolai is able to electrically alter the charges on any target, causing them to either have an physical attraction or rejection to an object of opposite or similar charge, respectively. He cannot change the charges of large areas and can only alter the charges of areas the size of his palm. This costs a kilowatt of energy every second the charges of his targets are altered and this cost is multiplied, depending on the amount of objects feeling the effects.

-Wavelength: Breaking the bonds between his cells at a molecular level, Nikolai is able to convert himself into electrical matter and ride currents of electricity through openings such as outlets and electricity lines. This form of travel costs a megawatt for the process of breaking down the molecules and reforming them on the other end.

-Flash Step: Charging up the neurons embedded in his muscle fibers, Nikolai is able to make a quick leap forward of up to thirty feet at lightning speed. This ability takes up a megawatt of power.


Skill(s): Nikolai is a very acrobatic character that has learned much about hand-to-hand combat and swordplay through the genetic information engineered into him at birth. Also, his genius-level intellect, which was also a miracle of genetic engineering, enables him to come up with crude, yet effective, technology, such as the Conduit, as well as make him an excellent tactician on the battlefield.


Weakness(es): Aside from a weakness to over-absorbing electrical energy, Nikolai’s abilities are completely ineffective against any forms of plastic, rubber, and glass. Although water is a good conductor and a potentially very helpful medium for his electrical attacks, heavy doses of water, such as rainfall or being dunked into a body of water, dampens his electrical abilities, causing them to be completely useless.


Equipment: Nikolai is always seen carrying his conductor weapon, which he built himself and named the Conduit. This was in an attempt to help him store excess electrical energies without uncontrollably excreting them upon people nearby. The Conduit can hold up to fifty megawatts of energy and can act as another power source for fueling his abilities. Not only does it help him store excess electrical energy, but it can be used to channel his power into a devastating blunt weapon that delivers shocking effects to its victims. Aside from the Conduit, Nikolai also wears a poly-fiber mask made out of different kinds of plastic and mesh. It’s the most sophisticated piece of technology that he has, utilizing thermal sensors and night vision to help him keep on his toes. This mask was taken from the laboratories in the weapons and armor sector of the same facility he awoke in and it requires a kilowatt of energy for every second it’s in use.

Lastly, he can always be seen with two power batteries he had created himself. Small and compact, each battery contains up to ten megawatts of power. On longer missions, he can be seen carrying up to four or more. These are used to help him refuel and recharge his electrical abilities when there are no external power sources around. When not in his combat attire, Nikolai can generally be seen wearing a fit black shirt, a pair of dark jeans, and a pair of black and white sneakers. Occasionally on cold days, he will be seen wearing a black bomber jacket. Surprisingly, no one can seem to differentiate between Surge and Nikolai, although they wear highly similar articles of clothing.

===PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE===

Personality: Being born inside a tube, Nikolai is very socially awkward having never really made contact with any human beings, until he met Annabelle. The scientists documented that they had genetically engineered him to have suppressed emotions to remove fear and mental pains in the event he was captured and tortured, but it turns out their calculations were wrong. He still has his feelings and opinions, but he has no idea what each feeling is exactly. Generally, he is very bland and attempts to hide his emotions in fear of succumbing to something embarrassing or wrong. Whenever Nikolai is with people he feels comfortable around, he is much more loose and open to revealing his thoughts and desires. He is very curious and always asks what emotions he is feeling and what they mean.



Strength(s): Aside from his genius-level intellect that helps him create his technological toys and devise strategic plans, Nikolai is a very athletic and versatile fighter. Able to move fluidly in combat, he describes his own movements as “those similar to lightning; always changing and sporadic,” making it harder for enemies to track and pinpoint his movements. Although this may seem somewhat dangerous to other people, Nikolai is a person who likes to prioritize, knowing when to go and help someone and when to go after the target. This usually leads to successful missions, but at costs that may seem unbearable to most. He has rarely come across situations where he wavered between which roads to take.


Interest(s)/Habit(s): During his spare time, Nikolai is generally found watching old reruns of sitcoms to better understand western culture and society. In a way, it is a way for him to learn more of what it is like to be “human.” On this show, the main character is always seen munching on jellybeans, especially the green ones. Noticing this subtle addiction throughout the series, Nikolai picked up the habit of munching on jellybeans, especially the green ones. Aside from attempting to learn more about society through sitcoms, Nikolai likes to just sit back and people watch. He likes observing other human beings and their daily interactions with each other and the world around them. This is done in the hopes to one day be “normal” for a change.

After reading through the whole thing, there are two large problems that I'll address first. You don't address why he hasn't aged, which would be another power and after going through your powers I've decided you have four, but since agelessness shouldn't be that big a deal unless this site lasts about 15 more years with the same members, I'll let it slide.

Next, your view of the Chernobyl disaster is a bit exaggerated, compared to the blast from most conventional bombs, it was actually rather small, in fact the building it came from is still mostly intact, where as an explosion like you described would leave nothing left, along with that, the estimated deaths from the disaster either are, or going to be 4000, including workers. Also, even the people of Pripyat weren't told of the radiation until two days after the incident. As this is a historical event that could be used in anyone's profile I can't let it be so much different from the actual event. In short, the big problem was the melt down, a nuclear plant never has exploded and has a relatively low possibility of doing so.(easy solution would probably be placing your family among the number of people that died of radiation poisoning or cancer.)

Another problem is that your character is 44 and no where in his history does it mention his powers, I guess its slightly implied since he killed several men, but I feel as though superpowers would have a bigger impact on someones life than getting revenge on one group of people.

You mention he can use wires as transport, does he ride them or go through them? How strong are his barriers, how far and accurately can he see with the "sonar." How much energy can he store? Since one of his weaknesses is being overloaded this should probably be relatively small/just below medium. Along with that weakness, can he be drained by other people with similar powers?

I'll fix it soon. I'm just busy this weekend with midterms. I might just do a complete overhaul of him.

I'm overhauling the history and RP Sample, so I'll be done soon. The powers are updated and much more organized. Took out the tough skin, regenerative abilities, and electric sensor abilities. The agelessness will be described in the history in the form of data logs and you can see for yourself what the story will be like when I write it.

Okay, first of all, I am rather confident that a mile blast radius is not going to be allowed, even if it was, 200 megawatts is...well, you cant do much with it. First of all watts are a unit of power. Then 200 megawatts isnt equal to a single lightning stroke, not even the full thing you see, thats one of the several flashes from lightning. 200megawatts is 200million watts. A lightning bolt is at most tetrawatt, a trillion watts but usually in the billions range, once again, measure of work. You are probably looking for amps, measure of energy, it takes less than a watt to kill a man if it passes through the heart.

A human body cant move at lightning speed, you could fix it by simply converting him to electricity for this. As for his absorption being a one way street, you mean two way, and you defy your own logic, twice, if he is using that shock burst it would be direct discharge from him, and should be able to be used to drain him since it can be constant, next, you say that he cant be drained unless he tries to drain someone else. Well, that would imply the same for anyone else, but there are 1,2, maybe 3 other electromancers on the site, not including npc's that drain electricity and draw it out of things and also seal it off. Also, its not possible to measure the wattage a powerplant puts out without a unit of time. Finally, batteries can only store energy not power to go along with that, your measurements of power are rather extreme, when traveling through air the most important thing is voltage, without which electricity doesn't move.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but with the amount of science you put into him I have to make sure its all true. Since thats how science works. I'll read your history when its up, obviously.
