Mel's head throws back and she changes into something vile, but is covered in shadow.

Mel changed back in a flash, almost dead. Transformation takes a lot of energy and hers was used up. Mel only prayed that someone would come, but anyone left in the tower was too far away. Quietly she died on the floor with no one around to hear her last breath silently fade away.

The Piper skidded into what seemed to be the kitchen of Titans Tower west slamming face first into the fridge as he did so and dislodging a stainless steel baking bowl large enough to hold a signifigant amount of popcorn as it bounced off his head with a Smack! it then hit the floor with an audible Clang! dazed he looked up at the top of the fridge then down toward the floor where the bowl rested "ow..." he murmers softly having done this he listens its quiet too quiet * where is all the laughter and merriment* he thought tersely to himself having decided thusly he picks up the pop corn bowl and begins moving stealthily down the hall *just in case Pyra is not so recieving of visitors* this thought made him smile slightly as he kicked open the door to her quarters rolling inside he came to his knees in a combat crouch holding his bowl-shield out in front at the ready with laughter in his blue eyes and a placicating smirk on his face these vanished when he witnesses her prone form quickly he checks her pulse finding none he gently lifts her into his arms and walking over he softly places her upon her bed and pulling the covers up to her chin he whispers to the stillness of the room around them lowly hoarsely for he knows the truth "she's only sleeping" he then exits far more silently then he entered he realizes none would understand what happend this night it is only as he stands upon the threshold of the tower that the fear fully overtakes him and so he runs off into the night now a hunted man but how do you elude a hunter when the hunter is one's self?
