Kira blushed and lowered her head shyly at the mention of couple. it hadn't really sunk in yet but Kira knew she'd come to grips with it eventually, and when she did, lets just say the message on her door would be up for a very long time.

Kira's ear's pricked up at the mention of Grim's weapons.

"get in line mate. i swear he's probably locked all the guns in some safe even Mg couldn't get into. you know last night he left his armor in my room right, but he disabled all the weapons! how unfair is that?!" Kira gushed/ranted. secretly she was touched that he cared so much about her safety, but still, her fingers were itching for a chance to try them out.

Xzuk laughed and saw she was blushing. He laughed even harder when she started talking about the weapons.

He turned and prepared his retort.

"Well, at least you get claws and fangs! all I get is this."

He poked her forehead and his finger shook at the speed of sound.

"Y'know it's great for ---... Uhm.. Other purposes... but still, the point is, you get weapons, and I get my hands. Yay?"

He smiled as he hoped his point got across.

Kira opened her mouth to retort to Xzuk's retort but he placed his vibrating finger on her forehead. Kira's face screwed up trying to contain her laughter as Xzuk dug him self a deeper and deeper hole but at the end of his poor explanation she could hold it no more. Kira burst out laughing so hard she almost fell off the roof! only by stabbing her transformed left claw into the cement of the roof did she manage to stay up.

"Oh yeah... Just join the masses and laugh at the loud kid."

Xzuk smiled.

"You'll see. One day I'll be recognized worldwide. Without the help of a gun."

He reached down and pulled her back onto the roof.

That way... Everyone can see...

"Any sign of Slade or Alyss?"

Kira sat back down next to Xzuk, tears streaming from her eyes. she quickly tried to calm herself though when Xzuk asked his question.

"oh, um, i cant see or smell them so ah no." she said warily. she'd seen the damage Xzuk had done to himself earlier and said nothing. obviously he had some issues going on and it wasn't Kira's place to intrude. still, she didn't want to end up with a punch to the face for being the messenger.

(just so you know i'm back and posted yeah soz i took so long, bro hijacked computer )

His heart sank a bit at the answer... but he'd get over it...

"I can't just let her leave can I Kira? I mean... Slade... he's... not good... he'd hurt her eventually... right?"

He was confused... about his own judgement... which didn't happen too often...

Kira relaxed again when Xzuk turned to self doubt instead of anger.

"we won't leave her. but maybe what she needs now is space and time. let her think things through, let yourself think things through. you can go search for her this arvo. just give each other a chance to cool down, i mean obviously you two have been going at it pretty hard." she finished, indicating Xzuk's wounds.

"and your right about Slade, at least from what i've heard of him, being anywhere near him is just going to lead to pain and sorrow. we wont let it get that far though." Kira said seriously then gently nudged him on the arm with her fist.

"cheer up, relax, get a bit of perspective, there's a way out of this and we'll find it, we just need a bit of time is all." she said with a smile.

He smiled and began to project the old Rolling Stones Son 'Time is on my Side'

"Thanks Kira. This hangout day was bullshit. We're gonna try again sometime."

He laughed remembering their hangout consisting of him jogging on water alone and her hanging with Grim.

He stood up and ran from her off the back of the tower and dove for the cove.

It was a nice jump and he made it to the water no problem.

"Beat that!"

Kira grinned wolfishly and jumped to her feet. her eye's glinted black and suddenly she was a wolf.

Kira surveyed the ground with her enhanced eyesight then took three bounds and leapt off the building. her extra strong muscles powered her over the water to the city and halfway down the main street. Kira landed, skidding a good 50meters, then turned and howled back at Xzuk.

Win.

"OY! No! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO HIT THE WATER!"

He smiled and Used the 'Jesus power' to bring him to stand on the water.

"That means I win!"

Kira saw Xzuk rise out of the water and a plan formed in her mind. with a wolfy grin she raced straight at Xzuk. at the waters edge she leapt. with another howl she tackled Xzuk and they both went crashing into the water.

His eyes widened as he realized what Kira was thinking.

"Eiah!!!" He screamed like Shia and got tackled by the huge wolf.

He swam back to the surface and splashed Kira.

"Not cool! You ruined my Jesus impression!"

He smiled and headed back to the shore.
