Xzuk rolled over restlessly and opened his eyes...

"It's too... Quiet..."

He went downstairs and grabbed as much of the soundproof padding he could find around his room and his marshall half stack and returned to the roof.

He'd done his best not to wake Alyss. Before he left he realized when he'd destroyed the lights, it knocked hers out too...

...Perfect... umm...

He melded pure sound into the shape of a mini blue glowing shield and he set it on his nightstand.

Once he got back to the roof he padded the door with foam and soundproofed the inside. At least this wouldn't wake Alyss... The rest of the city though...

He smiled thinking of just what he wanted to play before going back to sleep.

He picked up his Les Paul and plugged in. The amp was on 10. He set the backing tracks and drums, so all he had to do was guitar and vocal.

Game on... Let's start with the highest note I can hit... not to mention... it describes my current situation rather nicely...

The lights in the city were coming on... minus the mile radius that he'd destroyed. HE was the only light for a mile. Glowing a furious blue. Nice.

He went back and checked the foam proofing... because if she woke up during this one... He'd never hear the end of it... and he'd get emberassed and mess up the song...

With that, he turned off the amp and shut down the roof power before going back to sleep.

Alyss rubbed her eyes and stretched out of bed. She smiled and began phasing through the floors, to the common room.

Xzuk was still rolling around on the roof enjoying his sleep.

Wake up

His eyes twitched a bit and he scratched his head

I dont wanna! ... but I will... In a minute...

Alyss returned to flesh and blood, forgetting that she was still floating
She tripped over from the force of the landing and she screeched as she fell down from 6ft in the air. She hit her head on the kitchen top and cut open the side of her forehead. She hissed and pressed a hand to her head and saw blood leaking out.

She needs you Xzuk...

He sat up straight...

"Who are you?"

There was no answer... but he was sure that he'd heard... someone's.... voice...

Ugh.. Later....

He turned and began walking down the stairs.

(OOh, creepy voice.)

Alyss stood up, clutching her head. Blood began dripping down her face and she grimaced, she hated blood.
She ran to the sink, blindly and began running her hands over the draining board, trying to find a towel or something. She couldn't open her eyes for fear of blood going in them. She found something at last and held it to her head.

He got downstairs and saw Alyss bleeding rather badly.

"Jesus... You okay?"

He walked over and reached out for her, but withdrew his hands remembering her issue with contact.

(Yes, a voice... I blame the fact that I'm awake before noon ^_^)

Alyss flinched away from him.
"Yeah, I'm okay. I slipped, as usual. I'll just try to keep it down." she looked at the towel and winced at all the blood. "Ew."

"The things you could learn from walking a tightrope... I bet you'd never have these issues again..."

He smiled as he grabbed a washcloth and some ice. He held it out for her.

"Sleep well?"

Alyss smiled and took the ice from him, placing it on her forehead and wincing.
"I'd probably end up hanging myself from the wire or something." she said. "Sleep well? Yeah it was okay. I got woken up by my shadows, who couldn't sleep because of some music or something. I ignored them." she said, looking at him knowingly.

One of his eyebrows raised slightly...

"Good choice... why would shadows be hearing music that late anyway?"

He turned and headed for the living room smiling.

"... Uhm... so... Titans South?"

Alyss smiled at him. "The shadows hear everything. They're always there. I just hear what they tell me. And I asked them to watch over me at night."
"Titans South sounds good."

"Alright... Gimme a sec and we'll get out of here..."

He walked back to the roof and grabbed his Fallen guitar.

On the way back down to the common room he stepped into Fallen's room and scribbled words on her wall in pure sound.

He returned to the common room, guitar in hand.

"Let's get outta here."

Alyss nodded and looked at him, cocking her head.
"What was that about?" she asked.

He turned and began heading for the door. He was gonna play stupid on this one.

"What was what about?"

He smiled and waited for her to catch up.
