"Well, if thats how it is, then I wont."

He grabbed a jacket and walked out of the hole he made earlier leaving Alyss with words of advice. She could find him easy enough if she needed to..

"Control is an illusion. Happiness is a warm gun. Death is a lived life. And love... is nothing more than a four letter word.."

He turned and walked out of the tower Les Paul in hand.. he had a show to do.

Alyss stood, shocked, her mouth slightly agape. No-one had ever walked out on her outbursted before. She hadn't meant to be nasty. She ran out of the hole in the wall and saw Xzuk's retreating figure. She stumbled over the Tower rocks and tried not to fall over. "Wait! That's not fair! Where are you going? You can't just leave me here!" she shouted at him, angrily.

When he didn't turn around she formed a shadow in front, behind and beside him, surrounding him completely. "Now wait!"

He wasn't gonna stop... but then again, he wasn't mad either... He just needed time. So did she it would seem.

He saw the shadows and looked back.

"Go for it."

Alyss raised an eyebrow and the shadows moved forwards and crossed through Xzuk. She remembered when she first walked through a shadow, it felt like being cut with razors throughout her entire body. She shuddered slightly and turned her attention back to Xzuk.
"So, STOP." she hissed. Her shadows held onto his arms and legs and she walked towards him, trying not to fall over.

Well, that didn't feel too great... he dropped his case and just stood there..

"You wanna let me go? I do have a show to do..."

He tried to rip one of his arms free, but these damn shadows were persistent...

Alyss reached him and stared him down. "You wanna explain why you just waltzed out then? Someone in a mood?" she asked, mockingly.
The shadows pulled him down slightly and to his knees. "Stop fighting it or I'll relive you again."

"I don't have a mood. I have a show. To which I will be late if you don't let me go. I just thought you needed some space and some time to think for a while... So, I left."

He glared at her and began standing up.

"I'll say it again... control is an illusion."

He stood proud again. Xzuk may kneel, but Wavelength would never.

Alyss glared at him. She released the shadows and flicked her fingers, and the four shadows soared through him and back into Alyss's skin.
"Fear is an illusion. But it still causes pain." she smirked and flashed an image of Fallen's last moment's with Xzuk through his mind.
Alyss's mind was twisted. Her persona Fear was taking her over, and her hands and feet were turning black and silvery, like shadows.

Xzuk kept his composure and leaned forward and whispered a very simple warning.

'I'm not the hero I once was..... I'll kill you.'

He turned and walked away. With the words of Ghandi running through his mind... though it may make the world blind, it helps me feel better... even if it was harsh... but, she pushed him into it.

Alyss stood, shocked, her mind returned to normal. She stared at Xzuk's retreating person and hitched in a breath. She felt her chest tremble and she sat down on the rocks outside the tower, facing away from him. She stuffed a sleeve into her mouth so that he wouldn't hear her stifled cries.

He thought about what he'd done the whole way to the stage... he would have to right what he'd done after the show... it was wrong of him to say such things..

I'm sorry...

He walked up the ramp towards the stage and prepared for a great show... The downside of being a musician.. No matter how miserable you were.. you had to be the badass, girlfriend stealing, fun loving, high on life entity on stage...

He wiped tears from his eyes at the memory she'd put in his head... Time to focus on being an entertainer...

Alyss sat down silently in the common room and wandered if he would come back. She wiped dust from the seats and opened the old fridge to pull out some food, but shut it again.
She curled up on the sofa and shut her eyes, tears running down her face. SHe ruined everything, every friendship she'd ever had. Everything she'd ever done in her life was gone thanks to this stupid power.
Alyss cried herself to sleep gently, thinking of the sleepness dark night she might have to spend alone.

Xzuk walked back into the tower around 12:30 and saw Alyss on the couch... Her eyes were wet... she must've been crying...

He reached and gently put his hand on her forehead then gently tried to wake her up..

"Hi.."

Alyss woke up suddenly and caught Xzuk's wrist. "Don't touch me," she hissed, blinking, sleepily. Shadows whipped up his arm and pushed him backwards.
She sat up on the sofa and turned away from him. "I didn't think you'd come back."

"I do live here you know. Where else would I go?"

He sat back and leaned against the wall as his hands returned to their usual skintone... the pain had made him glow for a moment.
