Powers

• Geokinesis: Also known simply as, "Earth Manipulation." Jing gained this power through his exposure to the dangerous chemical compound known as Xenothium or Xenothium Ore which "activated" his latent metagene. At a basic, passive level, Jing is mentally aware of any and all earthen materials around him, and is able to focus this sense more to better distinguish WHAT something is made of. More interestingly, Jing can mentally will most earthen materials to move; raising barriers or walls, or hurling pieces offensively. Jing can hurl small handfuls up to 100mph, and can LIFT up to 30 tons of earthen materials- very large objects or meeting this limit reduces the throwing speed drastically.
  
  
  
  • Xenocrystal: In addition to manipulating most earthen objects around him, Jing can also generate crystals- most notably of more stable Xenothium. This is done either by simply creating it seemingly out of thin air, or by converting enough earthen material into crystal. A side effect of combining a Xenocrystal with say a concrete wall, reinforces and hardens the wall to withstand up to 30 tons of force; earthen projectiles with a xenocrystal core likewise explode and release shrapenal with UP to half of that (15 tons) in kinetic force.

• Exceptional Engineer: Jing has gone to great lengths to study and learn various techniques used in construction; whether it be on architecture, metal or stoneworking, robotics, and various useful tools or equipment.
  
  
• Exceptional Martial Artist: In addition to improving his mind, Jing also improves his body through martial arts. He trains himself each day, and mostly practices Kung-Fu, Jiu-jitsu, Long Fist and Taekwondo.
  
  
• Jack Of All Trades: As part of his philosophy, Jing devotes most of his spare time learning or improving upon a skill or hobby. From obscure facts about plants, taxidermy, to random pieces of trivia. While he's not truly mastered a single field, he is well versed in a great many different fields with the exception of engineering and his Martial Arts which he has a more exceptional expertise of.
  
  Abilities
  
• Eidetic Memory: Before his power, the only remarkable thing about him was his eidetic memory. With it, he has managed to retain the information gained from his studies and learning all he has. It is for this reason that he can also learn more quickly than the average person, as he's able to retain what he learns with perfect clarity.
  
  
• Peak Human: As aforementioned, Jing has worked to improve his mind and his body. His physical abilities are all that which a select few have achieved in a single category, and what is in theory possible for a human being to accomplish.
  
  
• Highly Dextrous: Unlike the stiff and unyielding element he manipulates, Jing is actually quite flexible and agile after training for long enough.
  
  Physical Weaknesses
  
• Blah Blah human blah: He's not invulnerable, and unlike Kryptonians, has to work at not being stabbed, shot, exploded, burned, frozen, electrocuted- etc.
  
  
• Metals: While they don't affect him specifically, he as of the moment cannot do anything about manmade refined metals- which means things like bullets are immune to his "earthen material" based manipulation.
  
  
• Taxing: Creating crystals- especially Xenothium ones, take a lot out of Jing. So much so in fact that he can only create a very limited number of them in one sitting, and the lethargy he feels afterward pretty much means he's not going to be doing much that day.
  
  Mental Weaknesses
  
• Bound By Virtue: Because of his very ingrained personal beliefs, Jing carries himself in a certain manner at all times. He will also not intentionally break the law, or act in a way that would deliberatey break the law. This also extends toward causing public or private property damage, forcing him to always restrain himself when having to defend himself- likewise he will avoid making the first attack even when away from prying eyes.
  
  
• Alienated: Even growing up, Jing has always felt like he didn't really belong. But when he gained superpowers, he had a more tangible reason behind it. He is aware that there are some that envy his good fortune, or fear what he has gained. As such combined with his aversion to breaking the law, he is more hesitant to use his powers more liberally.
  
  Equipment
  
• Xenocrystals: As aforementioned, Jing can create crystalized Xenothium. Unlike normal Xenothium which exhibits very volotile and unstable reactions if handled the wrong way, these crystals are much more stable and allow a more stable if not slower release of the energy within. In addition to creating one out of nothing, the process can likewise be reversed and allow Jing to reabsorb the energy for a number of things from healing injuries, supercharging his power, or reinforcing his entire body with similar effects as when used with his barriers or walls. He carries at most one such crystal on his person just in case. Smaller-scale crystals are likewise used to power certain other devices.
  
  
• Restraining/Adhesive Discs: Specialized throwing discs which upon impact either, releases a thick and gooey adhesive substance that is at worst impossible to get out of as a normal human being, or difficult to get out of as a superstrong individual; OR a similar but more controlled release that tries to bind a target to something else at worse. Extreme heat or freezing seems to make the stuff easier to deal with.
  
  
• Shock Discs: Roughly quarter sized discs which can be thrown or stuck to surfaces before being remotely "tiriggered" to release their payload. Powered by a Xenocrystal fragment, the discs will fry any unshielded piece of electronics in a 5ft area around them UNLESS a conductive material is used. Even shielded electronics are damaged, and that super durability isn't going to help mitigate the charge going through your body.
  
  
• Xeno-bo: A small handheld cylinder-like object which appears to be made of some kind of darkened black stone with a Xenocrystal shard embedded into it. Bio-coded to only work for him, a squeeze of the device releases two luminescent constructs of SOLID Xenothium to form a six foot long "pole." Other than what they are made out of, the only thing of note is that these Xenothium made portions appear to be indestructible by conventional means.
  

Personality
Jing is a calm, reserved and humble young man that follows a seemingly rigid set of moral and personal ethics based around this: "Teach with wisdom, be bound by virtue, fortify the bones, unite in ambition." In order to teach with wisdom, he spends much of his free time brushing up on or learning a new skill or improving a new one. He is often found reading various books, or learning from other people to achieve this. To fortify his "bones" means more to become stronger and live healthy, to which he exercises and practices different forms of Martial Arts to achieve.

Bound by virtue to him means adhering to and following the laws or rules of society, and also to abide by any interpersonal rules or "agreements" made between him and others. This does not mean there aren't certain rules or laws which inconveniences him, and though it is rare he looks for a loophole, they can be changed. Finally, Unite In Ambition to him means to find and bring together likeminded individuals for a shared goal. With these in mind, Jing has lofty ambitions to leave behind a legacy for others to build up after he's gone toward the skies taller than any skyscraper...

History
Jing never knew who his real parents were, and instead found himself raised in an orphanage. He was even at a young age rather bright, but otherwise didn't stand out much. Other kids did pick on him and bully him when he was younger, and he had very few friends. One day, he was adopted by a couple who couldn't have any kids of their own. His new father was a brilliant scientist, and later Jing and his new family moved over to the states for a better opportunity for his father.

His father later found a job as an assistant director to a Heinrich Allard Mercier, who placed him in charge of studying Xenothium and looking for potential "safe" alternative uses. It was under his father that Jing learned and developed his personal philosophies regarding how to act and live his life. With private tutors and his drive to always be trying to improve himself, others began to view him as some kind of prodigy.

When he was old enough, Jing managed to work under his father in the same field of studies. At some point, there was a terrible accident while on the job that killed his father, and should have killed him. Jing managed to survive, and it was while recovering that he discovered that exposure to Xenothium had reacted with his latent metagene to give him superpowers. While recommended to take it as easy as possible, once he felt he was able, Jing returned to his routines.

It was later after he had made a full recovery, that he had some time to more fully explore what his powers could do, and it was about this time that his father's boss took him under his wing. Heinrich was a diligent mentor, and seemed to know a lot about... almost anything that came to Jing's mind. He was especially knowledgeable of what he was going through, if not by personal experience, intuition brought on about his breadth of knowledge; the man seemed to embody most of the traits Jing lived by.

Jing still works under Mercier, occasionally assisting him directly, but otherwise has been given freedom to pursue his own endeavors whether it be purely scientific or otherwise. Jing has started a small chain of jewelers, always finding the craft to be most enjoyable- which may stem from his geokinesis. Outside of that which he only occasionally has to do some checking in from time to time, Jing's focus appears to be different side projects devoted to building up or helping the community. He has rarely had the problem of running into conflict, even having to intervene to protect innocent bystanders from harm.
