Main Power Origins: Supernatural/Alien Physiology

Powers: Solar Energy Absorption - Kassie is half Krptonian and half Daxamite and thus possesses the abilities and weaknesses of both species of extraterrestrial  humanoids. As long as the sun is visible she will be able to reach the peak absorption rate for her abilities. However if she is not being bathed in yellow sunlight the abilities gifted to her will diminish. This is unlike other Kryptonians and is suspected to be an odd side-effect of her impure gene-pool. Additionally, having only been able to bathe in the natural sunlight of Earth for a little over a year the abilities she can use are limited in comparison to her other family members on Earth. The known powers she has are as listed:

• Super-Strength & Invulnerability - Kassandra is easily one of the strongest beings in the entire world. During the day she is capable of lifting 20 tons overhead. At night this is reduced to 10 tons. Additionally she is just as durable as she is strong. She can survive up to 20 tons of force during the day and at night can handle up to 12 tons of force being thrown at her without receiving a scrape. This is due to her body absorbing less radiation during the night time.
  
  Additionally her body is resistant to all forms of elements, temperature resistance, aging effects, chemicals/viruses, vibrations, molecular deconstruction, etc. with exception to lead based objects and receiving less radiation at night. At night things mentioned above that could not effect her during the day will cause burns, fatigue, coughing, etc. and other such small irritations at the very least and worse depending on the situation and how much she is exposed. Additionally any element or source than can effect an object that would not be able to survive 20 tons of force can also harm and effect Kassandra even during the day. EX; a super tornado can suck up a small bus and lava could melt a tank. Thus these elements and other variations will be able to harm Kassandra as well, depending on severity, in a similar manner.
  
  
• Flight - Kassandra can fly at 180 mph as her top speed right now for about 10 seconds with this number dwindling to 110 mph at night. She can usually hold at to 120 mph comfortably (80 mph at night) and moves to 150 mph (95 mph at night) with added effort for a few minutes.
  
  
• X-Ray Vision  - Kassandra can see through any volume of matter except lead. This ability can be used to see behind a solid or within it. Unlike her heat vision this uses ambient energy and does not cause a projection of any type of eye beam.
  
  
• Heat Vision - A staple among her species - during moments of anger Kassie can shoot two parallel red colored heat ray beams from her eyes at whatever she is looking at directly. The beams are initially hot enough to singe a human being's skin on contact. Continuous exposure for even a few seconds will produce enough heat to melt through skin with an upwards limit of 2500' F or in other words, enough heat to make steel malleable. At night this heat limit is reduced to only being hot enough to melt iron over time, or slightly above 1800 F. Shooting her heat vision at mirrors or crystals will cause the beams to refract. Heat vision is also not instantaneous, she must build up her anger and focus the rage in her eyes before shooting out the beams - thus her eyes will glow bright red before the heat rays shoot out.
  
  
• Super-Breath - Kassandra can exhale winds at 60 mph in short bursts. This ability if stretched over time will lose it's force but will gain the ability to cool the air and frost anything she is blowing on. This is not to say she can flash freeze objects.

Abilities

• Excellent hearing - she can tell apart each instrument separately in a song without having to try to hear the different sounds. Can hear all sounds within her immediate vicinity without breaking the laws of physics.
  
  
• Excellent Scope Vision - Without breaking the laws of physics she can see extremely well at a distance and can pick out objects at a distance as well as clearly discern what is happening in an unfolding situation although she is far away.
  
  Always Fit - Although probably out-of-shape in comparison to other Kryptonians. Kassandra can eat, smoke, drink, and generally do whatever she wants with her body and keep a healthy and tight physique without performing
  nearly any upkeep.
  

Physical Weaknesses

• No Pain Resistance - Although unable to actually sustain injury due to her invulnerability, Kassie can still feel the pain. Kassie if struck by someone will exhibit a painful reaction. If electrocuted, she will be shocked/stunned although her body will not suffer the effects. Hot surfaces induce a burning sensation and bullets will impact her body and cause an uncontrolled jerk reaction instead of just bouncing off of her - all forceful blows will knock her about unless she braces for these impacts with her super strength strength by tensing up. EX; Basically unlike her cousin a bullet to the eye isn't something she will just walk through. It will definitely be accompanied by a few swear words.
  
  
• Magic - All forms of magic will have the same effect on Kassie as they would a normal human being. She has no resilience to any form of magic at all.
  
  
• Needs to breathe, Sleep, and Eat - Kassie has to be able to perform normal human functions to achieve homeostasis. At some point most Kryptonians can absorb enough sunlight to self-sustain themselves but Kassie is new to Earth and has not been able to achieve the same level of absorption as her other family members.
  
  
• Lead Poisoning - Due to being part daxamite lead can also be used to injure or even kill Kassandra. She cannot see through lead and all lead based objects can be used to pierce her skin. Lead will burn her skin if she comes into contact with it. Lead inside her body will weaken her abilities and any wound if left untreated will become fatal, in addition to continuous exposure too lead.
  
  
• Kryptonite - Even a small amount of kryptonite to Kassandra is lethal. If kryptonite enters her body, unless removed she will perish the same as if a human had been injected with snake venom. The symptoms will also be the same. A lethal blow with a kryptonite object will kill her instantly, kryptonite in her body in general will kill her within minutes, just holding it will knock her unconscious, and being near it will render her powerless.
  
  
• Red Sun Radiation - Red sunlight over time will drain her abilities and overrides yellow sun radiation even if it's still present. A red sun beam or weaponized beam will zap her of her powers immediately or just severely depending on how much she is exposed to.
  
  
• Brawler - Kassie has no hand to hand/melee combat skills to speak of with or without a weapon. She is predictable, she is obvious, and lacks discipline, skill, concentration and tact when engaging a foe.
  
  
• Krptonian - All manner of weaknesses a Kryptonian are susceptible too will also work on Kassandra in a similar fashion if applicable.
  
  
• Limited Exposure - Due to Kassandra's limited time in front of a yellow sun she has yet to unlock her full potential when it comes to her powers. Additionally, at night when the sun is absent the sky all of her abilities are nearly halfed making her just an above average super human in many regards but all weaknesses effect her the same.
  

Mental Weaknesses

• Careful at night - At night Kassandra is a bit more cowardly and less inclined to be brazen due to the drop in her abilities.
  
  
• Rebellious - Kassie will often just give up if something is too hard. She doesn't care about completing tasks or being called a quitter. She also has issues with authority and will sometimes need to be convinced or given incentive to do things when told. Even then she may still disobey direct orders.
  
  
• Mentally Weak - Kassie can easily have her heart broken, willpower shattered, and outsmarted. She is not a hard worker and doesn't do her research or prepare before performing tasks, especially if she considers them a chore.
  
  
• Getting noticed - Kassie while willing to commit crimes and hurt others is warry of going on a mass city wide destruction or even killing others. She worries this will attract the attention of the Kent family.
  
  
• Emotional - Kassie is a regular girl with above average super powers. Thus making fun of her, commenting on her weight, attacking her looks or just using plain old mental manipulation and emotionally abusing her will do a number on her psychological state.
  
  
• Insects - Like most girls her age she has an irrational fear of bugs. Although this usually results in her wanting to squash them quickly.
  

Equipment

Her uniform was given to her by her Clark Kent in the fortress of solitude and is made from kryptonian fabrics. Thus it is as, or even more, durable than herself and cannot be destroyed simply or easily like other Earth clothing and fabrics unless magic is involved. This does not equate to extra durability however. Kassie is still susceptible to all weaknesses through her clothing.




Personality

Kassie is a complete diva - sassy and bossy. She is the embodiment of Regina George; she gossips, she brags, she's over-confident, she blames others and she is very privileged. She likes to clique up with others like herself and bully others, more emotionally than physically. Kassie doesn't prefer to fight (that would mess up her nails). She thinks of herself as a woman of stature and thinks having to work hard should be beneath her, despite the physical gifts she possesses.

Kassie despite being a relative of Superman himself does not possess the mindset of someone who performs their duty. She often is lazy, shirks her responsibilities to party or lounge about, likes to indulge in illegal activates and is amazed at Earth culture. She very much would prefer to be pampered and live a life of luxury. Kassie is emotional, is quick to pass judgement, is secretly insecure about herself, and overall is a regular teenage girl going through her rebellious years.

History
Kassandra Kent was born to a Kryptonian survivor and a Daxamite world leader and is the niece of Kara Kent, aka Zor El. When the planet Krypton was on the verge of destruction her mother Zal-El, and sister of Kara's father, escaped to the planet Daxam. Daxamites were a sub-species of Kryptonians who long ago had separated from their ancestors and sought to live a simple life instead of voyaging stars. On Daxam her mother married one of the head political figures and gave birth to Lara Yat, but to honor her heritage Kassandra was given her Kryptoian name as well, which is what her mother called her. However, knowing she was from krypton and the daughter to a prominent figure on Daxam made Lara-Yat over-confident and rather spoiled. Kassandra slacked off in her studies, was often rude to her parents and elders, and often would incite bullying and start a lot of unneeded conflict with the other children.

At age 15 Daxam was discovered by her kin who had escaped years earlier to a planet called Earth. Lara lied to them and said she had been kidnapped to Daxam just as her extended family were going to take their leave and convinced them to take her with them.

Once on Earth Vor-El changed her name to Kassandra Kent to honor the Kent family and began her assimilation into Earth culture. But her prissy nature clashed with good hearted upbringing's of the farm bread super-family and she soon sought to escape them. After finally achieving the ability to fly Kassandra left to the west coast with the hopes of finding out what it really meant to live as a human with no limits.
