Far from the home of the teen titans, was a city called Gotham. A city steeped in crime committed by the most notorious; very few places could claim the same from the hometown of The Joker. So why would someone out of town come ALL of this way here? For work, in this instance. Some might consider the trip itself more costly than the job was paying but few jobs were being offered from nonchalantly "interdimensional wizards" from another world. Needless to say the job was indeed worth it in terms of payment, and part of the trip was expedited using this wizard's magical talents... once it was explained to him where someone with the greenest of thumbs could be found.

The target in question was none other than Poison Ivy, who was like many others, locked away in a maximum security prison designed to keep all manner of super villain locked away for a good long time from the Batman's efforts. This place was known as Arkham, and stood on its very own island only accessible by a single bridge... this didn't rule out escape through the water but it was a lenghty swim only the desperate would consider. In terms of security, the only other place that came close to matching its level of security was that of Jump City, which was also known for numerous supervillains. But unlike Jump, Gotham's police force were more heavily armed from more relaxed restrictions on firearms one could carry- it was hard to argue against arming the guards of gotham or the police department with military grade weapons after the criminals locked away had threatened the city at large more times than a cat had lives.

There was surely NO WAY someone was going in through the front door... right? Well, that's up to the ones that took the job through the services of IMP back in Jump City, who would get a taker through one of the shadier corporations- known as Hades Corp. IMP normally read and accepted job offers without too much fuss, but something about THIS one in particular compelled her to forewarn Hades Corp- or at least to pass on her concerns to whoever they sent to do the job that something about this... Fasilli wasn't right. But any warnings most likely fell on deaf ears, and clearly by the fact this is being discussed, Hades Corp has indeed sent someone to break Poison Ivy out of Arkham even if it meant drawing the attention of The Batman, and even if helping this Fasilli meant certain doom. Their reasons were their own...

The Eagle, grown beyond the wildest dreams of men, it's known, was first to reach the heavens, above all the world below.By steel and wood, by sweat and blood, on wings of woven cloth, he slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God. But knowing times of trouble, and the devils they may bring, are only thwarted by the will to fight, he raised his mighty wings. Prepared for, thus guarding peace; for liberty, his love,
he shall deliver unto evil: death, dealt swiftly from above

"nighhawk, loaded cruising below 1500how copy over?" the biodroid pilot of the Blackhawk carrying Ren 001-A and the distraction team called out threw the radio

the crew inside quite receiving orders threw their internal computers

*VR briefing*

a black silhouette of a man spoke in the heads of each of the crew in the chopper
"Alright, men, 004-R and 001-A you are to move in under cover of the gatecrasher make your way to the warden control area find the location of ivy and exfil to the leviathan two clicks from the compound a rib boat will be sent to you when confirmation of the VIP is secure" the silhouette turned its attention to the M.A.R.S. 003s and one T.h.a.n.a.t.o.s 003 models.

"gatecrasher 1-4 your objective is to engage any and all personnel collateral damage is greenlit cause as much distraction as you can muster if you believe you will be unable to continue fighting trigger the internal emp device the shock to your systems will trigger the satchel charge in your chests to go off. gatecrasher 5 your job is to assist Gatecrasher 1-4 until batman arrives then your job is to engage with him if your compromised set your emp charge for same effect."

*VR brief end*

As the Blackhawk came in contact with Arkem air traffic control attempted to raise them.
"This is arkem air traffic control identify yourself imideatly."
the pilot not changing corse flicked a switch before responding to air traffic control
"I have tone, eagal one fox 2!"

A missle shrieked threw the sky impacting with the air traffic control tower as the doors of the copper opened up as Gate crasher squad jumped out their heavy plating absorbing the fall before Ren and 001-A jumped out to be caught by them. The two spit into two teams as they headed for their objective Ren hated to admit it as the mission kicked off, The lethal lasers and reading claws on the mars models makes fighting them for average humans kinda unfair and mostly overkill.

And that wuld be partially true, though the guards did have the means to maintain some level of order amongst all the imprisoned supervillains. The alarms were blaring and lock down was being initiated all across the facility as guards armed themselves and prepared to, if nothing else delay them as long as possible- partially counting on The Batman to come running but were also counting on the GPD SWAT teams to roll out; which they would be once the alarms started going off. Tactical chatter buzzed through radios as the first guards started setting up defensive positions in sensitive areas, some guards appearing from upper floors onto catwalks and guard towers armed to kill. This wasn't Jump, these guards were not going to hesitate to put these intruders down.

In addition to the GPD speeding toward Arkham, a sleek black shape would streak through the night skies toward the prison. It would no doubt get there first as another shape breached the surface of the waters around the island. "Infiltrate the facility, stick to the shadows. Do not engage unless necessary, and extract the target," a voice crackled to a handful of armored shapes, some of which seemingly fading out of sight.

"Acknowledged..."

moving quickly if fireteam file the mars models shoulder rifles would open up on the officers on the catwalk mag dumping with a heavy *chunk chunk chunk* rhythm matching in lockstep as the closed into the building the military-grade firepower they had pinging off the heavily reinforced body frame of the mars models clearly making dents and scratches it's clear that depending on how long they take concentrated fire that more damage could be done to them that is if anything survives their shock and awe tactics. while their belt-fed shoulder cannons belted out bullets upwards they took turns firing a heavy laser cannon on their arms at the guards to cover and bodies the baste could clearly melt threw body armor these models were clearly meant for the military but definitely didn't belong in jump city.

the chopper pilot began to fly off as he spotted the blackish shape flying towards them using his eyes different vision modes to spot it he opened up on the shape with the helos 30mm guns as he flicked a switch to begin missile lock "nighthawk to gatecrasher and extraction team be advised fast mover of course with facility attempting to engage over!"

meanwhile with ren and 001 using the carnage and distraction of gate crasher fight their way to the control room Ren taking point walking a brisk pace while occasionally fire off his lmg with 001-A behind him rifle to his shoulder picking off counter snipers from a distance that Ren would miss.

the Thanatos model picked up on the coms message from the chopper pilot as she moved away from gate crasher 1-4 moving to one of the many vents to crawl inside.

Meanwhile, the other uninvited guests would from their lower vantage point start quickly climbing up, the hidden and lighter weight Cerberus Mercs nimbly getting to up top before the pair of medium weights would arrive. There was comms chatter, someone was already here- and that became more apparent from the skies. The Mercs switched to their own secure frequency, deciding to use the distraction to their advantage for now. Drones were activated and released, their portable cloaking fields masking them visually as they silently floated over the walls and started to feed their mobile hq in the sub intel. The Mercs exchanged silent communications, deciding that they needed to work fast. With Batman already in the skies, and other heavily armed military units on site, they couldn't afford to waste time. Fortunately they were in a different part of the compound, and for now only had to worry about running into some of the other guards.

One of the hidden operatives continued to climb upwards, finding a higher vantage point for him to see as much of the compound below as possible- but Batman was another element to be concerned about. So for now until he was on the ground, or otherwise, he'd stick to the shadows.

The other three operatives moved in, the two tactical squadmates sweeping through with their Chimera LMGs as the second stealth operative started opening doors for them

Batman once he was close enough learned a number of things very quickly using the various instruments and equipment installed inside The Batplane. The first thing he learned that whoever was crazy or brazen enough to attack Arkham, was military backed. The second was that for a moment, he picked up two sets of vehicles; one from air and one from sea. But the one from sea seemed to... disappear, which indicated to him that it was a sub and thus had submrged itself. The third thing was that while The Batplane definitely beat the helicopter in terms of speed and steering, it and the assault force was most likely a distraction to divert attention from the real goal of these attackers. He didn't know what that was but didn't have to hazard a guess to assume it must've been one of the prisoners.

For now he needed to deal with this helicopter first, if nothing else that'd cut off their escape. So first, he gunned the engine and veered off to the side to try and throw off potential missile locks as he tried flying up behind them...

Ren and co. would encounter further resistance going in. The place was crawling with guards armed for prison riots and heavy attack from within aswell as outside. But more importantly from the lockdown, some doors would be locked shut to prevent passage in the more sensitive areas.

The helicopter pilot chuckles "finally a challenge." taking his helmet off letting their messy spiky hair out of its helmet prison before taking his com piece off. "That's right, Iceman. I am dangerous," he said flipping off the missile lock as he begins pitching the nose of the helicopter up as the helio attempts to do a half loop before bottoming out of a pitch roll to open fire back on the batplane itself. something a normal helicopter pilot would not be capable of from the force and precision required would normally make a human pass out however he wasn't human.

In the prison area the 4 mars units continue taking the brunt of the firepower "gate crasher two to gatecrasher 1, 3 and 4 I'm setting off my charge aiming for the maximum prison area." gatecrasher three and four took up flanking positions as the mars unit made its way towards the normal prison area detinating to cause a big enough whole that mabie just mabie releasing a few prisoners to release more and start a prison riot."

meanwhile ren is supressing the large influx of aurds with his lmg as 001 began planting explosives on the door to blow it open. "fire in the hole" he called out as he set the timer as he took up his rifle to assist Ren some more.

meanwhile with the thanatos model traveled threw the vents she decided to make her way to the control room via the vent system to speed things up.

Understandably there were guards in here too, a handful of them- but most of their attention were on the monitors. Cameras in various locations told a better story of what was going on, revealing the second party of mercs in flickers before the screen in question seemed to crackle with static for a moment before returning to "normal." It seemed more like someone else was hacking their computers, and robbing the control room of sight of the other party going inside. Unfortunately, because a smart man considered the possibility of more tech savvy villains or potentially a similar cyber attack from the outside, some of the systems were manually operated on site. This simply meant while the control room could initiate lockdown, it took more effort to turn it off again in the emergency of the villains within escaping. "Movement through the eastern wing, Delta move in with Epsilon and cut them off. Anyone else not outside, keep the intruders from the Western Cell Blocks from getting any more ground! Everyone outside report!" One of the guards at the monitors barked trying to keep control of the situation.

Meanwhile, The Cerberus Mercs' movements inside would be slowed due to the doors. They had their own explosives but had the rare opportunity to have a CDP Operative with them. So they just let him do the "heavy lifting" with the doors while they covered him, getting word of an ambush coming their way from the rear. "Deploying Barrier," one of the CHEP Operatives said simply, his partner acknowledging and taking up overwatch down a hallway as one of the teams of guards were moving in to flank them. He loaded a mini-rpg to his barrel and aimed it from the hip, letting it fly down the hall as the guards rounded it and sent the first ones flying.

Once the Barrier was deployed, both CHEPs laid down suppressive fire while the next door closer to Maximum Security was taken care of. Behind them, the door they had just come through would open up and the guards behind it would run into the portable energy barrier. "Shit! Back up! Back up and open fire!" The Squad leader barked as a flash bang hurled over the top of it, landing in their midst and going off. "AGH! CAN'T SEE!" A guard bellowed, most of them disorientated now as the trio moved on through the door. "Deploying Proximity Satchel Charge..." the CDP announced, giving the CHEPs time to reload before they double timed it toward the Maximum Security area.

Meanwhile in the yard, the guards trying to put down The Mars units were only losing more control of the situation when some of the lower security prisoners were set loose. "IF YOU STUPID FUCKS DON'T STAY ON THE GROUND, WE WILL PUT YOU ON THE GROUND!" A guard bellowed through a loud speaker, directed at the criminals now trying to use this chance to escape... or get some payback for the more mental of them. But the guards were now trying to focus fire on The Mars units, trying to overwhelm them with ballistic weapons before being forced to split their attention toward the escapees...

Back in the skies above, it appeared to Bruce that he wasn't dealing with a normal pilot. This was either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how far he'd need to go to take this thing down, because if the pilot wasn't your typical human soldier, that could imply a greater survivability. For now neither of them were taking the first shot and locked in a kind of aerial dance until one of them made a mistake or took the first move. So, flicking a switch on, Batman took the chance to change the flight mode of the Batplane to something like hovering, and flicked another switch to arm The Batplanes guns. He aimed them at the top propeller of the helicopter, and tried to ground the pilot before he wasted too much time- he'd then swoop in and use The Batplane's grappling hooks to slow its descent and keep it from accidentally causing any more damage to the ongoing riot- if it worked at all.

And while this was all going on, The GCPD sirens could at least be heard faintly in the distance- if you were outside Arkham, and not having your ears blown off by the constant sound of gunfire, screams and shouts, and explosions, you'd be able to hear them getting ever closer.

while in the control room vent the Thanatos model used her mirrored plating since light bent around making her look invisible to the naked eye. after assessing the situation for a brief moment and the Thanatos sent the data back to 001-a and ren before kicking open the vent and dropping down using its rending claws to quickly and grizzly take out the guards before jacking into the computer system due to her computer nature she easily brute-forced her way threw. Unfortunatly though she found that the lockdown wasnt easy to lift and dare she say impossible all things considered so taking a seat she would use the controll room as a overwatch station were she could tactically inform hades opratives on were to go. as well as the location of ivy's cell using the loudspeaker to contact the Cerberus ops in a separate wing "Well Cerburas enjoy the advantage, we look forward to working with you in the future."  it spoke with a more robotic feminine voice  namedropping the operators before destroying the computers and making its way back to the mars units via vents.

After blowing open the door Ren went threw followed by 001-A. Ren offhandedly commented "are we attacking a prison or military base?!?" 001-A tsked as he was about to set the next charge as the doors began to open again "might as well be they do have powered prisoners."

as the mars units made their way against the guards continuing to push threw the area gate crashers leg and arm would lock up having to take quite a few shots that made it threw the armor plating "give us your flesh we demand it..." the mars unit said before detonating itself in the prison yard taking whoever was around with it. gate crasher 2 wasn't that far from having to do that either. looking to the last mars unit gatecrasher spoke. "ronaveu with gatecrasher 5 good luck." Running forward towards the most manned area of guards gatecrasher 2 detonated himself.

back in the skies the pilot was using the temporal shift ability to slow down time from his perspective making everything appear slower to him but in reality, wasn't. noting the batplane was aiming for the propellers the 003 pilot pitched the nose upwards at the last minute so that the shots hit the cabin and wing tearing out the glass and shredding the armor he wore and putting a few holes in the wing. "your pretty good pilot. shame this can only end one way!" the pilot stated before pivioting the smokeing blackhawk to face the batplane in his hand holding up a satchel device. "think you can take the shot batman if this bird goes below 100ft and missions isnt complete i go boom and get to be on your kill list."

Back inside the facility, fighting their way through as Ren pointed out "a military base" full of men armed to fight tooth and nail for every bit of ground. Even with their armor and cybernetics, they still had to pay some mind to the guards- and the CCDP Operative especially had to be careful due to his lighter armor. They would run into a heavily barricaded area that they couldn't just gun their way through without taking more damage than necessary- it was expensive fixing their gear afterall. Then a voice would more or less announce that they knew they were there, but the mercs literally paid it no mind otherwise and instead was focused. Then the entire facility would rumble from an explosion further down the way the Cerberus Mercs had come, strong enough to not only take out the squads trying to tail them, but sealed off that area with rubble AND cause the lights throughout to flicker.

It was that flickering that the CCDP used to his advantage, sprinting forward while the CHEPs laid down suppressive fire and dove into the ranks of men. Firearms were his armor's bane, but if they were too close to use them... his cybernetics made him stand over the squishier guards in close combat. Once their ranks were broken and distracted, a CHEP mounted another mini-rpg onto his Chimera and launched it at the barricade blocking their path. Sending a few guards standing behind it flying back as the mercs dashed forward to help clear a way after the CCDP. It wasn't the most smoothest of manuevers but it got the job done, and that's all that mattered as they reached the last door into the Maximum Security cells. The door still used the keycode locking system that the CCDP had been working through. "Cover me," the CCDP said placing a device over the keypad to start his task.

"Copy."

Meanwhile back outside- on the ground, the CCDP Operative now in an Overwatch position as high up as he could reasonably get to, cooly observed the carnage happening on the opposite end of the facility's outer perimeter. The cloaked drones meanwhile continued to feed the third and final one within the sub with tactical information on the situation. "CCDP1 to CCDP3, status of The Bat," The Cell Leader requested.

"Delayed, other pilot holding a satchel," he promptly replied using the zoom function of his helmet's enhanced optics to get a better look at the situation.

"Extraction team is delayed, eliminate the distraction for plan-" there was an explosion from inside the facility that shook the building to its foundations, almost causing the would-be sniper to lose his footing.

"Understood," CCDP3 acknowledged, regaining his footing and raised his rifle upwards, adjusting a couple things as his helmet optics linked with the optics of his sniper rifle. It'd been a long time since he had to do something even remotely so "longshot." He was sure that regardless of whether or not the cabin was facing him, just one well placed shot would be able to punch through and nail the pilot. But he would still only get one shot before he'd have to bail, best not to stick around in one place...

Back in the sky, Batman was positive now that he wasn't dealing with your average private contractor- he didn't even seem to have any kind of self-preservation which was going to make this harder for him to deal with. Was he actually trying to taunt him now with what appeared to be a satchel charge? Batman narrowed his eyes toward the monitors of The Batplane, fed by the external cameras. He was still manuevering his plane to try and maybe get a better lock on a part of the helicopter for the plane's grappling hookes to reach without fear of the propeller blades cutting through them. But his reputation for not killing or letting criminals he was fighting off themselves preceded him. He was wasting time, he was using his plane's instruments to try and analyze what it was exactly the pilot was holding to confirm or call his bluff- when suddenly a shot rang out from the prison itself!

NOW the GCPD Sirens were more apparent, and a couple GCPD Helicopters would be first to be seen as they flew high over the waters below on either side of the bridge, with the rest of GCPD Swat speeding down the bridge itself. It wouldn't be long now until the island was crawling with more heavily armed and armored men and women...

Thanatos would watch and assess the situation on hand before sighing "gatecrasher make your way to R and A and hold the position getting up from the desk Thanatos would head threw the vents retrieving her gear before making her way threw the vents to behind the barricades to help clear a path for ren and the team to make it to the cell quicker than the other team. "Mars unit take point ill flank ." thanotose orders as the moved down the hallway ren and 001-A close behind as they breached another door a and cleared barricades on their way

the pilot let out a pained groan as he lurched forward the bullet clearing threw his flak vest and out the other side of him and into the helicopters control console causing the chopper to begin to lose control and for the device to be dropped from the chopper as the pilot's upper body hung halfway out of the windowless cockpit a blackish red nanogoo leaking on the consol and jacket as the pilot seemed to cling to life even though his bird is loosing control.

"CCDP3, distraction eliminated; Law Enforcement en route, moving position," CCDP 3 checked in after his shot, strapping the rifle over his shoulder as his cloaking field started to crackle back into effect.

"Acknowledged, keep to the shadows and wait for evac," CCDP1 replied, concluding from what he was able to see with the cameras before cutting off his connection to the network that the rival group was already nearing their destination. But if he surfaced now to try and disrupt enemy communications, the sub would get spotted by the GCPD.

Meanwhile... The Batplane automatically shifted a camera toward where the shot came from, revealing the shooter before he seemed to fade out of sight again- cloaking. It also tipped Batman off that the second vehicle he had detected earlier was another group. But right noe he didn't have time to try to find anything out about the uniform, putting that matter aside as he took this chance to handle the now out of control helicopter. There was just one- maybe two problems in the form of the propeller blades, AND the seat-beltless pilot. The consolation was that with the pilot down, hopefully not dead but that remained to be seen right now as Batman moved into action. The lack of control was somehow easier to deal with than someone who was acting directly against you as Batman opted for a different strategy by trying to keep under the front of the helicopter.

With the computers and external cameras on the Batplane, Bruce would play a short waiting game as he tried to catch the pilot with The Batplane. He had noted that the "satchel charge" was at this point possibly a bluff, but that remained to be seen now as he tried to keep the two crafts from crashing into one another but still be in position to catch the pilot. He'd do what he could for him once they weren't in a downward spiral of death...

Back on the ground on the inside of the facility, the trio of Cerberus Mercs were nearing the end of their own gauntlet- definitely packing the firepower to do so but they still needed to be more cautious; perhaps they were more paranoid after losing a CHEP Unit. They would however finally reach their destination, both CHEPs decorated with blood, burn marks and the odd dent or bullet hole. Now all they needed to do was find the target, and get out- which would be the tricky part... not to mention the other team which all three of them were on high alert for as they ignored the cells which didn't have who they were looking for. If only they actually cared about the significance of being in a position to free any of the crazed supervillains here.

Ren, 001-A and the Mars unit would fallow the thanatos model to ivys cell passing by all the other cells in the process The mars unit stopping halfway as the continued Ren looked back to the mars unit as the silently communicated *Gatecrasher 4 to Ren*: My plating is compromised and i don't have significant armorment to keep up the assist. i will detonate here opening a majority of cells on your order.

Ren looked to all the cells and opened his mouth. "alright Jailbirds listen up to consider this a common courtesy back away from your doors we will free who we can all we ask is you keep the pigs busy while we get Miss Ivy out of here comprende?" Looking to 001-a and Thanatos who finished planting their charges on Ivy's door. "Mars now!."

From the outside, a second explosion rocked the building as the pilot would tumble out for batman to catch him.  the explosions coming from within the supervillain cell area. as the pilot was caught by batman.he was on deaths doorstep. as he looked up at batman. "Your a good man batman and one hell of a pilot, thank you for giving this flyboy one hell of the last fight." The pilots breathing became horse and shallow as his eyes began to fade in color the anti-vehicle sniper round having made its mark killing him as it left a softball sized hole in his abdomen exposing a mixture of human organs and cybernetics. his life was over but his words were true as he enjoyed his final fight.

Ivy looked about how you'd imagine someone so intune with nature being trapped in an inhospitipal place, but she had perked up some when the facility seemed to being sieged. Who was dumb enough to try breaking INTO Arkham, with force of all things? She became understandably more concerned as the facility seemed to be getting shaken from explosions, and the lights flickered. Someone was hell bent on getting in here, that much she was sure off as sounds of gunfire and carnage started to get closer and closer. She would then get her answer in the form of what could be described as a commando squad of... cyborgs? "You boys are either really stupid, or really brave," Ivy quipped, about to ask what they wanted but got her answer before she moved away from the front of her cell. This explosion wasn't as strong as some of the others, but it was still loud and would make her ears ring terribly.

Some of the other Supervillains would gladly take this chance at escape, though were in a bad way without some of their tools of the trade or minions... somehowever, like those of Killercroc would not be hindered by such things as the aforementioned burst through the now weakened cell wall; his cell was just far enough to where the door was spared but the brunt damaged the wall, and all of the excitement and noise was enough to flip his switch in order to smash through the wall with a bellowing roar!

It was about this time that the Cerberus Commandos were arriving, silently exchanging chatter amongst themselves as the CCDP warned them of explosives- which was quickly followed by the aforementioned explosives going off and forcing them back. "Objective compromised," a CHEP intoned back to their HQ before Killer Croc's roar deafened the narrow passageways. There was an awful lot of smoke but through thermals they saw the deadly reptilian barreling toward them- not for any particular reason other than just bad luck, as most of the lesser physically capable villains knew well enough to avoid Croc's attention. The two CHEPs put as much space between them as they could, forcing Croc to at least focus on one of them before opening fire. Croc hissed and roared, not shrugging the barrage off like a certain man of stone, but he was soldiering through as he lounged at one of the mercs and forced him to fall back.

The other CHEP boosted in to try and ram him into the wall but was instead back handed and sent flying backward instead. Then something smacked into Croc's back, a glimmer of the CCDP Operative darting away a couple of seconds before the air around Croc became ice cold and he was encased in ice. "CCDP 2 requesting fire support," The Operative requested, fading back out of sight as The CHEPs regrouped. Because of his partially reptilian physiology, Croc wasn't going anywhere due to the cold. But they would chase after the others, hoping that either Batman or their comrades would be able to head them off.

"You will get one chance, we are pulling out one way or the other," CCDP1 replied back, moving the cloaked drones to locate and head the group off. The drones weren't heavily armed, but they could still hold them up for CCDP3 to reposition and maybe get another shot at one of them, maybe give the extraction team a chance. He would also move the sub around to be closer to their position, give them a better chance of getting out of there.

Batman would touch down and listen to the pilot before he finally passed on, it was regrettable but there wasn't anything more for him to do for him now. But now that he was ON the island, he had a job to do before The GCPD came in guns blazing to restore order. The Batplane took off, keeping high and away from the inbound helicopters as he slipped into the compound, catching some escaping criminals along the way and one of the "lesser" supervillains before catching sight of a couple robotic aerial drones firing down at someone. Based on his earlier suspicions, it seemed like the two merc groups were engaged. He started to make his way in their direction, determined to keep them from getting away with all of the damage they caused...

The GCPD Helicopters would finally arrive first, a pair of spotlights scanning the area as one started to unload SWAT, the other one offering fire support. The GCPD ground forces would arrive at the front, with some blockading the bridge while the rest started to go into the compound en masse. Time was quickly running out for both groups

while Killer crock was busy causing distractions ren ordered Thanatos to keep watch while he contacted the leviathan to let them know they had Ivy at this point. While That was going on 001-A set his last breaching charge on the wall of Ivy's cell leading to the outside before detinating it just as REn would get out of the call. "the rib will be at the shore in 15 minutes." 001-A nodded before taking out the rope and gear. "ill makes my way down first, Ma'am you go next Ren you right behind her."

while they began repelling down to the shore Thanatose would be covering their exfill with 001-A's sniper rifle. Ready to shoot the first hostile target from Ivy's cell that came into veiw.

The breaching charge wouldn't go unnoticed by the Cerberus team inside, but none of them were fool hardy enough to go through the same hole. Whoever they were dealing with were aware they were here, and if they were in this position, they'd have their exit covered so they'd have to find an alternative route. But time was not on their side, based on comms chatter that only managed to indicate that the GCPD was on site. But the SWAT teams would be unable to easily coordinate through comms from the jamming that one of the CCDPs were doing. "Abort extraction and return. The Bat is on the move," CCDP1 told them. Well, good thing the others left them an exit point...

CCDP3 would under the cover of Stealth take aim at one of the GCPD helis, and much like with the Hades Pilot, he squeezed off a shot. But this one was aimed at the top propeller due to the fact the pilot was just hovering in place to let off some SWAT. It immediately dropped out of the sky, killing the pilots and anyone still in it aswell as nearly killing some of the SWAT team that dropped down from it. The OTHER helicopter immediately panned its spotlight in his direction and within seconds a couple SWAT visible started shooting in his direction as he dove and took cover, trying to let his Stealth kick in again before he started to head toward the sub. He would immediately freeze for a moment as a shadow moved by. He carefully and quietly remained still, using every optics available to him to see if he had been detected as he slowly drew a sidearm. Then as if by 6th sense borne from extreme paranoia, CCDP3 out of pure reflex combat rolled out of the way of Batman swooping down with a falling kick.

CCDP3 quickly got to his feet and prepared to fire behind him before a batarang immediately hurled and smacked the sidearm out of his hand. But unlike most would-be enemies, he had NO intention of fighting Batman right now. He was told to get to the sub, and he was going to do just that as he quickly pulled out a flashbang with his other hand and primed it, dropping it behind him. That'd buy him a little time as he tried to free-run back up onto the rooftops, the second GCPD helicopter now chasing after him before a barrage of energy shots started to pelt into its side from the cerberus drones.

Back with the Cerberus Extraction team, after navigating their way back through the trail of destruction from Ren's team, they were once again back outside where SWAT and what guards remained started getting control back of the outside. Before they had time to react to their presence, the two CHEPs started to open fire. Inmate, SWAT, guard- if it as standing up and in their line of sight it was getting gunned down no questions asked. They too were determined to get back to their sub.

Batman after his brief initial encounter with one of the mercs, would shield his eyes from the flashbang and give chase after him. This guy was disciplined and didn't strike Batman as scared, and he certainly wasn't as talkative as that pilot a moment ago. He didn't have trouble tracking him with the help of the GCPD helicopter taking shots at him, and took the low road after him. Another short chase later and Batman would emerge into the yard as the Cerberus Extraction team was gunning people down to clear an escape path. He narrowed his eyes as they quickly noticed him and one took aim, unloading a constant stream of LMG fire while his companion started to reload. Batman moved quickly into cover, pulling out another batarang that he was about to lob at the merc reloading when a glimmer caught his eye and forced him fully behind cover as a shot rang off. Cloaking? There were a lot of these mercs...

A shadow fell over him and Batman on instinct rolled out of the way to avoid what he assumed to be the one he had been chasing, trying to catch him off guard with his own move. But Batman was still close enough to counter-attack, but his attacker was already quickly jumping over and out of the way using his armor's thrusters. After dealing with the drones, the remaining GCPD helicopter turned its attention to the firefight going on and opened fire down at the mercs. They were in full retreat now, and gave Batman a chance to move in after them as they seemingly just jumped off the ridge toward the waters below. A RPG came flying up by them, nearly hitting the helicopter but ony managed to keep it at bay as Batman looked down to see the mercs climbing down into a sub. He pulled out a tracker and as the last one was getting in, he threw it down at the sub before it got fully submerged. It was at this point that he and the GCPD seemed to notice that there was movement going down behind the cellblocks, not too far away. Maybe there was a chance to catch someone yet, or at the very least he could get a tracker on their getaway if he was quick enough. Batman made a dash in that direction, the helicopter shining a spotlight down at Ren's extraction team and arriving first due to the flight advantage.

They didn't try to talk them into surrendering, and prepared to open fire once the helicopter was angled properly...
