Somewhere in The Slums...An old abandoned factory that had been closed down with plans of "renovations" from the new owner. It was also the new current base of operations for a criminal information network, setup and run by a demoness who called herself, IMP. It should come as no surprise that the factory being bought and abandoned under the premise of "renovations" was no simple coincidence, and IMP was currently being backed by Three Oni boss, Weaver. Once the Manhunt got under way, Weaver dropped by to help oversee her plans- later being joined by a cll of Cerberus Tactical.
"Did someone hire you? Or is this purely freelance?" She questioned the
lightly armored Cerberus Civil Disorder Pack.
"Were here before you put this into motion," The Pack Leader replied simply as he and another cell member started hooking more things up to the network.
"Like, you better not be doing any sneaky shit to my baby!" IMP frowned, not sure how they found them here if Weaver was to be believed. But she hated the fact that Weaver was more or less forcing them on her now that they were here.
"Don't like it, pack up and leave..." Weaver said curtly, absentmindedly petting one of the Hellhounds which had curled up by her feet.
IMP didn't like the fact that they had seemed to warm up to her so quickly, and also didn't like the fact creatures supposed to intimidate and dissuade intruders was... more or less being ignored by intruders. The Cerberus Mercs didn't even bat an eye... not that she could see any with those masks on. But they still only acted of their own volition once Weaver made it known to the dogs that they were safe... while she was around them at least.
"Your irritation is noted, but irrelevant. You have a system which with we can use to assist the ongoing operation, and make ourselves some cash on the side- nothing more, nothing less," The Pack Leader monotoned, tapping into the network and signalling to one of the other cell members. He nodded and with the help of one of Weaver's Shadow Ninja, sank into the darkness and went on the move. It was this time that Weaver got a call- on her burner phone of all things and that meant one of a few things.
"What in the various levels of hell do you think you're doing?" exclaimed the irrate voice of her older sister, Charlotte.
"Getting some payback," she replied simply.
"You couldn't have just sicced The Biker or some Cerberus on him? You HAD to set off an entire gang war IN MY CITY?""I didn't hear you calling it yours until AFTER being elected..." Weaver sighed with boredom, watching the various monitors as IMP reluctantly started coordinating with the other two CCD Cell members. It looked like as predicted, some of the local vigilantes were starting to come out and help the police. The Skulls weren't responding quite the way she had anticipated, but some centered around a red headed giant seemed to be biting- that giant could be useful.
"You realize how much potential damage your little grudge might cost me? If you wanted the mafia gone you could've just gone for the head!" Charlotte scolded her.
"I hear Vigilance is taking private contracts, which Three Oni have been advised to avoid if possible. Some business owners have already taken up some contracts for protection during these trying times. Besides, there's always someone to fill in the power vacuum," Weaver replied as if SHE was talking to a child, revealing some of her intentions behind this as she hung up. That'd definitely piss Charlotte off but she had better things to worry about right now as she phoned someone else.
"Is everything prepared? The Biker is already on the move," she asked.
"It is as planned, we are ready and waiting his arrival before moving in," her Underboss replied.
"Try not to get yourself killed, there's already been activity from the locals- a few of which aren't the most merciful of people," Weaver warned him seriously.
"As eager as I am to have a decent battle, I will take heed," he replied and the two hung up. For a moment Weaver went back to watching the monitors, narrowing her eyes slightly as some of her gang members were being taken down. Oh, well... they knew the risks going in, and most of them were foot soldiers anyway. But she made a mental note that at least TWO of the people she saw should be The Biker's next targets...
Back in Uptown...One of the few safer places to be currently during this gang war, as many of the residents had their on private security. However, there would be one estate that would be the least safe of the entire city. It would be the mafia boss' own private estate, where his last known whereabouts on the website said he'd be. The aforementioned Biker would come to a screeching stop outside the gate, alerting the guard at the gate as he hopped off and strode foreward. While the guard fired into him, The Biker tore the iron bars of the gate clean off their hinges, tossing them backwards as he moved ontoward the guard. Blatantly ignoring a taser before pulling a fist back...
Meanwhile on the INSIDE of the estate, Three Oni and some Shadow Ninja would be flooding inside from any little dark corner or shadow they could find. These Three Oni were decked out in combat gear and whatever weapons their boss could "accidentally" lose track of within Vigilance, meaning they were also well armed to deal with the Mafia Goons inside.
Once the guard was brutally dealt with,
The Biker continued on deeper inside the estate, marching straight toward any Mafia thugs he caught sight of as they fired into his body with literally no tangible effect...
