Basic InformationOriginally the dominant Yakuza Family in Japan until a gang war erupted after the family head was killed by
his own daughter. The new heiress had a difficult time keeping her father's criminal holdings, though through outside assistance, dominance was mostly maintained and the power structure was restructured as the new ganglord saw necessary. Keeping some of the old traditions alive, emphasis was placed on devoting to work and "earning" your indulgences. One of the more controversal changes was a shift in power dynamics between gender, with more leeway being given to women than males without making it completely exclusive.
The name "Three Oni" actually originated from Jump City police, based on information that led to Three key figures within the organization, one of which stems from the existence of a supernatural hitman dubbed, "The Biker."
Personal InformationThreat Level: Unknown.
AssociatesLower than even gang soldiers most of the time, anyone which provides Three Oni with services but don't heavily associate with the gang's more illicit activities. They come from many walks of life, mostly ranging from doctors, couriers, fences or informants. There are even some private business owners who provide indirect assistance to the organization's operation. Another good example of an associate of Three Oni is the privace security force and contractor, Vigilance.
Foot SoldiersComposed mostly of males, or recently demoted Lieutenants, these make up the bulk of Jump City's Three Oni pressence. Armed with whatever they can easily conceal, or get their hands on, these blood thirsty gangsters are more than willing to earn themselves a promotion by proving themselves. It should come as no surprise to anyone that they are only dangerous to OTHER normal human beings, but it is rare that one manages to climb out of the nameless masses and earns the coveted promotion!
Shadow NinjaSpecially created "minions" of The Three Oni boss herself, these entities are the sole reason that Three Oni has become such a staying force in Jump, and also Japan. Unlike their flesh and bone associates, the Shadow Ninja are barely even tangible. They are little more than clothes filled with air, and are actually powered by a small paper doll infused with power to exist.
Used purely as cannonfodder, or for hit and runs, Shadow Ninja are highly adept at getting into places they shouldn't be using the darkness to move about. Because of how malleable their bodies are, a Shadow Ninja can partially morph its body in a wide variety of ways; from bladed limbs, whips or tentacles.
Their greatest downfall is that they cannot stand direct sunlight for long, and thus are only encountered at night usually. They are also vulnerable to Flashbangs, or sudenly been hit by a flashlight being turned on out of nowhere; artificial lights otherwise don't seem to bother them.
Another major downfall is how lightweight they are, preventing them from doing too much physical labor, and also making them incredibly easy to toss around- they ARE basically just air afterall. But this can also work in their favor, enabling them to move about quickly and also making them impervious to blunt force. Becoming soaked with water also seems to kill them, due to soaking the paper doll core.
Another major downfall of theirs is their VERY limited intelligence, little else but machines that obey commands as given to the best of their ability. They will NOT try to preserve their own life, for example, despite being agile enough to easily avoid attacks that would otherwise kill them.
There is ONE exception to this lack of intelligence, a single Shadow Ninja who acts as a personal bodyguard for the Three Oni boss. It is still little else but an intelligent beast, who has enough sense to actually avoid attacks that would kill it. In other words, it values its life, and is harder to pin down.
LeadershipThe aforementioned Lieutenants and also Underbosses of Three Oni, are not more threatening physically than their associates. The only difference between them besides being in a higher position of power, is their intelligence. Even Lieutenants through their ambition and dedication to their boss, are capable of staging small heists or robberies with good coordination.
Underbosses are even fewer in number, but are those who have proven themselves incredibly useful to be seen as necessary. Through their exploits, an Underboss has become defined by one or two exploits in particular, usually resulting in their gaining special "gifts" through them as a result. Because of the paranoia the boss of Three Oni has, there are VERY few of these crafty individuals around. One of which is in Jump City to assist her.
