Main Power Origins: Mutation

  • Spatiokinesis: Chessa has developed a psionic borne power to create, shape and manipulate physical aspects of space within an area of one's choosing, including an area and whatever is inside of that area. She can trap subjects or objects in space and push that space, throwing subject and object away from them or to create wormholes. Space consists of the normal 3 dimensions that matter and energy exist in and the 11th dimension that exists within the 3rd-dimensional space. The theory behind the spatial movement is to get away from the 3 dimensions, find one's position in the 11th dimension, and then calculate the vectors to teleport, moving at a faster than light speed without occupying the space in between the two locations.

    But more importantly she has an instinctual extrasensory ability that prevents her from materializing all or part of her body within a solid object and can teleport into any place within her teleportational range, whether she has seen it or not, without danger of harming herself. Much of her spatial manipulation is on a personal level, and she can manipulate her personal spatiality, allowing her such feats as increasing or decreasing her spatial dimensions as well as her distances, spatial directions and location- or to put it more simply, she can flatten herself into a two dimensional space like a shadow, and stretch her body out as if it was made of elastic; up to 20 square feet.

    • Teleportation: As aforementioned, Chessa can teleport- quite successfully as a matter of fact. She is able to instantly move from one spot, to the next within a 20ft area in any direction and orientation around her starting place without any problems, but she can also teleport up to any point she can SEE (excluding like the moon)- but then can't do so again for a short time. It happens so quickly you can literally miss it by blinking, There is a sound that is hard to describe, and the space Chessa occupies will simply... rip and unravel when she teleports to her new spot.

    • Spatial Telekinesis: As also alluded to in the power floof, Chessa has a kind of telekinesis that lets her move things around through the use of a spatial field. Unlike telekinesis, weight is not an issue so much as the size of something- as she'll simply decrease the gap between two points to throw the object in question. She can create a 20 square foot spatial field, and can do so up to 20ft away from her body. The speed at which objects seem to "hurl" themselves regardless of weight or air resistance is a max of 50mph.

    • Spatial Flight: Contrary to what the name says, this is less actual flying and more to do with simply moving her own physical space around- flight with added steps. Using in part her Spatial-telekinesis, Chessa can do this up to a max of 50mph. More interestingly though, this enables Chessa to hang upside down or "stand" sideways while floating in the air whilst "gliding around."

    • Schrodinger's Chessa: Chessa can occupy up to 9 places at once, which kinda functions like Billy Numerous' own duplication power. There's nothing else to say about it other than the fact this power is a double edged sword in that while she can do a lot more at once, doing so taxes her body and mind more quickly. In addition, hitting one will also hit ALL of her "clones."

    • Portals: Chessa creates a portal, and these portals are used for greater distances- or redirecting attacks back at enemies. Opening her portals happens quickly enough, but closing them is slower due to the spatial disturbances of the portals existing. The range that her portals can be made, is only limited by her being aware of the location existing- so if she knew of a place in China, she could always make a portal to THAT location for example.

    Abilities
  • Zoning Out: Chessa shares knowledge, memory and sensory experiences with any additional "instances" of herself. Meaning while she is physically asleep in one area, she will be made aware of everything a different Chessa sees, does and experiences somewhere else. Sometimes this results in said sleeping Chessa to wake up with a start if something traumatic happens.

  • Exceptional Memory: Chessa's good at retaining information- not quite a photographic or eidetic memory, but still pretty good compared to most people.

  • Exceptional Stamina: Chessa NOW has gained a respectable amount of stamina, which is quite important with using her powers.

    Physical Weaknesses

  • Me, me, me: Chessa's ability to be in several places at once while situationally useful, is a greater danger to herself for one simple reason: if ONE Chessa gets hurt, THEY ALL GET HURT. If Chessa gets shot, this pain and experience will be felt across every other Chessa to the point of manifesting. Yes, they could just vanish; but there will always be ONE Chessa left at the end, and she will be quite shot. ALSO as mentioned, using her clones to use her spatial powers drains her that many times faster.

  • Extremely Exhausting: Probably unlike the super stronk wo/man throwing cars around like baseballs, Chessa's powers can drain her both physically and mentally if used too often too quickly.

  • Spatial-TK Limits: There is a long enough delay between using her Spatial-telekinesis that prevents her from easily "trapping people" or most other moving objects. Even stationary objects, depending on their size or the "number" of them has a delay before Chessa can move them. She can also only envelope WHOLE objects in the fields used to move them, she cannot envelope part of a wall or the ground and rip a chunk out of it.

  • Dizzy: Teleporting around too many times and too quickly will give her motion sickness real fast.

  • Eyesight: Chessa requires eyesight to use most of her powers, excluding teleportation with her safety net. Can't hit what she can't see, and if used on ONE of her instances, it affects all of them.

    Mental Weaknesses
  • Mental Disarray: Because of how her instances work, Chessa's mind can struggle with the information its recieving from these additional sources. While normally she can handle this fine, juggling too many things at once can lead to mistakes.

  • Untrusting: Chessa doesn't trust people easily, for some reason she feels like most people only exist to let you down and if anything tries to not get too attached to people.

  • Catty: Chessa seems to embody many of the traits of her favorite animal- more so the Chesshire Cat's impish nature, but she won't turn down a chance to get work done without having to do it herself.

    Equipment
  • Hand-Cannon: A custom made Energy Weapon that despite the revolving chamber, actually fires high impact energy beams after atleast a couple of seconds "spool" time. The revolving chamber will actually start to spin more rapidly the longer the trigger is held down, charging up a more powerful shot at the cost of draining the power cell. Non-super durable victims will most likely not get back up when fully charged, depending on where they're shot. But super durable opponents will get knocked clean off their feet and still feel it fully charged.

  • Blaster Pistols: More compact and reliable "blaster pistols" which are considered outdated in comparison to newer models, Chessa has simply touched them up and uses them for more rapid fire style tactics. Despite their outdated tech, they still pack quite a punch even to heavier targets- almost as if they are being punched in the face with each blast.

Personality
Chessa is an intelligent, friendly enough girl that LOVES making cat puns; she also really likes cats. She's also kind of catty, and makes sarcastic remarks frequently- and enjoys getting on people's nerves because it's fun! When she's not taking one of her dozen or so cat naps, she's out and about either doing workstuffs or finding someone to hangout with. She very often stays up late, and also seems to suffer from a mild case of insomnia brought on by "disturbing dreams." These dreams combined with her not wanting to miss out on something fun or interesting, often leads her to burning the candle at both ends; hence her cat naps. Chessa enjoys some sports like soccor or basketball, and also enjoys more mentally stimulating games like Chess.

One key trait is that she's very protective and supportive of her younger brother, who she looks out for and up to- both figuratively and literally inspite of her own personal accomplishments.

History

Chessa was born and raised to a well known pair of scientists. Their family eventually moved to the states as her father got a well paying government job within STAR Labs, and her younger brother, Daniel, was soon born on top of that. Her powers manifested early on as a child, a point of concern for her parents. Her father being the only one who strangely knew exactly what was going on, or at least like he had been expecting it... which given his own status as a psionic this made sense. He made a point of trying to convince her to hide her powers, especially at school to avoid drawing attention to herself. But she was more than free to play around with them at home and develop them as she desired.

Chessa excelled at sports and academics- the latter especially so as she found herself just... knowing things where she shouldn't have. This for some reason concerned her father more than just the fact she had powers, or if she used them out in public. He was VERY worried about this, but he never explained why. It felt like he had been hiding something from her as he performed some light experiments to try and... uncover whatever it was he needed to know about this strange behavior. At some point Chessa started experiencing very vivid nightmares involving previous lives, which her father once again deemed important enough to take time out of his work to help her try suppressing them.

Eventually he got a new job working for Wayne Industries, and Chessa didn't have much else to do with her time as a young adult. So she followed in his footsteps in hopes she'd figure out what it was that he seemed to know and was keeping from her. When her brother was old enough, she started to fall into a very lethargic state, her insomnia getting worse and forcing her to rely on him for support. Her brother Daniel was looking to use his powers to help others, and hoped to either join Law Enforcement or something of that nature- he was very dissuaded from being a full on superhero at their father's behest. But eventually, they all got involved with a project recently approved by The American Government called, "The ARGUS Initiaitive."
