Powers
Animal shapeshifting: Beast Boy can transform into any known animal on earth past or present, up to and including prehistoric animals like Dinosaurs, although whatever he turns into retains his signature green colour scheme. He can revert to his human form at any time he wants or can switch between forms on the fly. While transformed he can understand the 'language' of the animal he has become, allowing him to speak to them and understand their speech.

Spoiler:

Beast Boy has on occasion used his ability to transform into alien creatures, however he can only do so when the creature is right in front of him and he can't use these forms afterwards, suggesting that he can't transform into an animal he doesn't know if it's not right in front of him.

After an encounter with Adonis where he was drenched with chemicals he took on a Werebeast transformation. In this form he was capable of fighting Robin, Starfire and Cyborg at the same time, and Adonis who had undertaken the same transformation was able to defeat Raven in the same episode. He has been shown in future episodes to still be able to undertake this form, although it is only used a last resort against extremely dangerous foes. In this form he is capable of lifting up to and striking equivalent to 20 tons, moving at 200 miles per hour, moving with beast-like superhuman agility and has superhuman senses.

Skills
Experience: As a former member of the Doom Patrol, Beast Boy is the only one of the main Titans apart from Robin to have crime fighting experience prior to the formation of the Titans. Although he is usually satisfied with taking orders from others he has shown to be able to take on a leadership position when necessary, such as when he led the Titans' last surviving allies to defeat the Brotherhood of Evil.

Abilities
Hand to hand combat: Beast Boy has been trained in martial arts by Robin so that he can still defend himself even if he finds himself in a situation where his powers don't work. He is by no means a master, but someone who underestimates him and thinks he's helpless is in for a rude awakening.

Physical Weaknesses
Lights out: If Beast Boy is knocked unconscious while transformed he will revert back to his human form, leaving him defenceless.

Oh no you don't: Beast Boy's transformations can be interrupted if he is struck while transforming, in which case he will revert to his human form.  This will also occur if he attempts to transform while in a close-quarters environment that is too small for the creature he wants to become.

Achoo: If Beast Boy is sick he will lose control of his abilities and will transform whenever he sneezes.

Lions can't climb trees: Whenever Beast Boy transforms into an animal he will take on the weakness of that animal. For example, being in a harshly cold environment will prevent him from transforming into any creatures that can't handle the cold. A common weakness that most animals share is that they can't talk to humans, often requiring him to turn back to his normal form to do so.


Mental Weaknesses
Naive: Sometimes Beast Boy can be too trusting for his own good and can get hurt really bad when the trust is betrayed. The most obvious example of this is when he and the Titans were betrayed by Terra.

Hypnosis: Beast Boy has proven in the past to have an extremely low resistance to hypnosis.

The Beast Within: Beast Boy is extremely reluctant to use his strongest animal form, The Werebeast, because it suppresses his humanity and relies on his animal instincts. In this form he is in danger of attacking innocents or even his own teammates. He is so reluctant to use this transformation that ever since he first attained it he has only used it once, against Trigon's forces. In other words, if he isn't against a Trigon level threat he won't rely on The Werebeast.

Personality
Within the Teen Titans Beast Boy is the lighthearted jokester of the group, he is playful, energetic, and often quite immature. He is usually the first one to joke about a situation that the other Titans are taking far more seriously, making others at first view him as immature and thickheaded.

Despite this Beast Boy is an extremely kind individual, sometimes to a fault. When the other Titans lost faith in Terra after her betrayal he was the only one to still believe that there was good left in her because he had gotten to know her the best.

Beast Boy does actually have a serious side, although it only comes out on rare occasions. When Beast Boy is pushed to the edge he can become very hotheaded. He has been shown to get very upset and regretful when his actions cause his friends to get hurt.

History
Beast Boy was born the son of Mark and Marie Logan, geneticists that travelled the world visiting jungles to study their wildlife. Beast Boy's early childhood was spent travelling with his parents to various jungles for their work.

One day the Logans were researching a rare species of green monkeys in the jungles of Africa when young Garfield was bitten by one of them. He ended up contracting a rare disease called Sakutia. His parents injected him with a new system in an attempt to save him, which caused the growth of his shape-shifting abilities and turned his body green.

Years later tragedy struck and his parents were killed in a boating accident. After their deaths young Garfield was cripplingly lonely. Eventually he found out about a superhero team made up of some of the most bizarre freaks in the superhero community; The Doom Patrol. In search of a new family he went to join them, breaking into their base. He was caught, but his creative use of his powers while attempting to escape impressed them, earning him a spot on the team.

He worked with the Doom Patrol for a few years and formed close bonds with its members, even being legally adopted by the teams leader Mento and his wife Elasti-Girl. However, Mento's strict discipline and harsh attitude eventually alienated Beast Boy from his foster family, motivating him to strike out on his own.

While searching for a new place to live he came to Jump City and met Robin, Cyborg, Raven and Starfire. The five of them worked together to save Starfire from her captors and in the aftermath formed a team. And thus the Teen Titans were born. Together, the five of them fought many threats, from HIVE to Slade, Trigon and The Brotherhood of Evil, and persevered through their teamwork.

Following a state-wide prison break of supervillains and an attack on Midtown Jump City from a giant skeleton and its minions a new and very different threat reared its ugly head. A government-run group known as DOMA stepped in and ordered the Titans to stop fighting crime, giving them a two week deadline to surrender.

Beast Boy isn't sure what the team is going to about DOMA but one things for sure. They'll do it with him at their side.





It was a warm summers day in downtown Jump City as Beast Boy walked along on all fours. You heard right, all fours. A group of onlookers stared and took pictures as Beast Boy walked down the street in the form of a green Labrador, stopping occasionally to strike a pose for the cameras. Today was a slow day for action, and Cyborg was hogging all the game consoles, so Beast Boy was on his way to his favourite Vegetarian Restaurant. Though getting attention from the public was also a motivation for being out and about.

An attractive young girl in her late teens ran up to the Titan holding out her phone. She bent down so that she was on eye level with him "Hey Beast Boy! Can I take a picture with you?" Beast Boy took one good look at the girls face and transformed back into his original form, his look lingering on her face for a moment, you could almost see hearts in his eyes "Sure thing! Cheeeeese." he took the girls phone and held it out, capturing a picture with himself and the girl in it.

The girl squealed in pleasure after being given her phone back "Thanks Beast Boy!" Beast Boy watched her go with a longing look, before the sound of sirens caught his attention. He turned a street corner and saw police cars rushing in a certain direction. At that moment he got an alert on his Titan's communicator. He answered it and recognised the voice of Robin "Beast Boy! Monsieur Mallah's been spotted downtown. I'm mobilising the team, but you're closest. I'm sending you the location now, but don't take any risks."

Beast Boy raised the communicator to his mouth with a confident smile "You got it. Titan, go!" He didn't wait to see if Robin laughed at his joke or not, he probably didn't, and turned into a hawk. With a screech he flew to the location Robin sent him, sparing no time.

He landed in front of Monsieur Mallah while reverting to his human form, landing in a crouch. The Gorilla regarded the Titan with a cold gaze "Oh? Is your leader trying to insult me, sending the canon fodder?" Beast Boy fumed, gritting his teeth "Hey! Who's the canon fodder?"

Mallah whipped his signature bazooka around, aiming it at Beast Boy "You." He let the missile loose. Beast Boy turned into a fly and flew forward, whizzing past the missile as it exploded behind him. He turned into a grizzly bear after flying in front of Mallah's face and clawed at the bazooka, swatting it aside.

Mallah pounced on Beast Boy, knocking him to the ground. The Gorilla mounted him and began pounding on Beast Boy's face. Beast Boy roared in pain, transforming into a Python and wrapping himself around Mallah. He tightened his grip on the Gorilla's neck, squeezing in hopes of knocking him out. Mallah managed to get his fingers between Beast Boy's snake body and slowly but surely wrenched him off.

Mallah threw Beast Boy at the wall, but Beast Boy transformed in mid-air to become a Kangaroo. With his newfound springy Kangaroo legs he bounced off the wall, transforming into a Gorilla and smashing his ape fists into Mallah's face, knocking him into the wall on the opposite side. Beast Boy pressed the advantage, charging down Mallah. However, Mallah recovered sooner than expected and pounced at him, the two Gorillas grappling each other, vying for dominance. "This again? Don't you... ugh... remember what happened last time? You may be just as strong, but my intelligence far exceeds yours."

Mallah shifted his weight and grabbed Beast Boy by the torso, shoulder throwing him hard onto the ground. Before Beast Boy could recover Mallah cupped his fists together over his head and swung down like an axe-handle, smashing against his face. Beast Boy began to transform to get out, but Mallah smashed his fists down again, causing him to turn back into a human. Beast Boy gave Mallah a weak smile with bloody lips "You know what? I'm going to take your advice."

Moments later Monsieur Mallah burst through a wall onto the street. A crowd of policemen and onlookers cleared the way as a green Tyrannosaurus Rex ran out after him, letting out a loud roar. Mallah lay there, completely still with the whites of his eyes showing. Beast Boy turned back to normal; he was battered and bruised but still standing. He took up his Titans communicator and contacted Robin "This is Beast Boy, Mallah's down. Heading back now." Suddenly his stomach let out a loud growl and in that moment he remembered that he'd still not had lunch "Hey, can we order some takeout?"

Firstly, I'd personally suggest using a slightly darker green for his actual speech or vice versa- or limit it to when he only speaks. It's just easier on the eyes that way lol

That's really the only bit that bugged me reading through the see of green xP
