«««SKILL SET»»»

Main Power Origins: Genetic evolution spanning millions of years to create the perfect survivalist.

Powers

Final Evolution: Nidus is the result of centuries of trial and error to create the most capable carrier of species genetic code.  He was created to adapt, survive, spread, and thrive in an unfamiliar environment; and has been given a superior genetic, physical, mental, and intellectual build to perform this function.  His strength, speed, endurance, durability, and reflexes have been pushed to the limit of what standard biology allows.  He can adapt to become heavily resistant one damage type at a time, regenerate his wounds, assimilate almost any type of mater, and create a multitude of other lifeforms that possess similar biology to himself, albeit less advanced.  His physical limits are maxed at 10 tons of physical strength, with a similar threshold for resisting external forces. His max sprint speed is about 30mph.

Applications are as follows:

-Adaptive mutation.  Nidus is designed to be able to adapt to and live in any climate.  His kind can gain energy from any wavelength of light similar to a plant's photosynthesis, possess adaptive resistances to heat and cold, can gain nutrients from almost anything in order to grow, and do not need to breathe.

-Gift of life.  Nidus' primary function is to create life akin to his home planet.  He can create creatures from his flesh that resemble either fungi or animals, all linked by a hive mind with a range spanning the solar system.  (For better or worse, Earth was Nidus' first stop and no life from him currently exists in the system, except here.)  Each creature may be made with a specific purpose, and can even utilize genetic material that Nidus' finds from the inhabitants of earth.  For example, stealing and utilizing the DNA of someone like Storm from the X-Men may allow Nidus to one day create a mass of rooted fungal growth with the purpose of permanently changing the climate of a geographical area, as long as it remains alive.

-Blood as currency.  Unique to Nidus' species is the ability to transmit biomass from one creature to another with a range of their hive mind. (Meaning the solar system)  The process sends the mass over an ethereal plane, functioning like teleportation.  The application of this is the ability to send food or healing to a creature at the expense of others.  A creature can easily consume more mass and energy than needed, then send the excess to a worker so that it will not need to stop for food or rest.  Blood has become their species' currency, and every creatures created by Nidus owes him their life.  They will sacrifice anything and everything to keep him alive.

-Built to last. The bodies of Nidus and his spawn are made from a mix of organic materials reinforced with metal alloys to provide skeletal support and exoskeletal hardening. All members of his species are capable of fast regeneration, easily capable of mending damaged flesh as long as it remains attached. Reattaching cleanly severed limbs is a matter that takes only seconds to do, but does keep him occupied for those seconds. Serious injuries like a severed limb requires effort and concentration to make that happen. In the end, they are not life threatening, but do slow him down. Fighting while healing to this degree is ill advised as it is either impossible or extremely difficult to focus on repairs and combat both. If the flesh he wants to regenerate is completely lost, (example: a severed arm that is lost and can't be re-attached) it will come at the cost of both a minute's worth of time AND the fact that he will have to draw that mass from his spawn somewhere in the world. This is not a preferred healing method and he will avoid using it if he can.

Skills

Fast learner: Nidus is able to quickly assess everything he can and learn as much about his environment as possible, understanding in hours what may take a human months or years.  He will quickly gain more skills as time goes on.

Abilities

Nidus has superior strength, stamina, and swiftness for his size; being more than what a standard human will ever be capable, but on the low end in terms of superhuman.  He can track and react to the movements of a human martial-artist despite not being trained, and he's strong enough to lift and roll a standard car.

Eating for Nidus consists of extending short-ranged tendrils from his body that can fuse and integrate with foreign biomass.  The cape like growth is a perfect example, having been made for this purpose.  It takes only seconds to infuse his blood and flesh with another creatures'.  At that point he as perfect ability to paralyze them, manipulate their bodies systems, infect them with bacteria of his own design, consume them, or even heal them.  He can do whatever he wants with an infused victim, but this requires a short range physical link to be maintained.  It also requires that an unwilling victim able to struggle must be physically restrained for at least 10 seconds while the process takes hold.

Nidus has no eyes and does not see in the traditional sense.  He can detect light on his skin, combined with acute senses effectively gives him Blindsight.  He is effectively aware if everything within line of sight of him within 60 meters.  He can still detect light and hear sounds past that if the sources are strong enough, but not distinguish objects.  An interesting side effect of this is that Nidus is not sensitive to the visual spectrum, and cannot read anything distinguished by color.  Things like TV screens, billboards, and restaurant menus all seem blank to him.

Finally, Nidus can climb sheer surfaces with enough grace to almost make Spider Man proud.  Climbing walls or hanging overhead doesn't seem to pose any problem for him.  This partially due to his claws, strength and dexterity; but biology plays a key role in allowing him to stick to surfaces when he wants to.

Physical Weaknesses

Nidus is designed to resist any kind of physical trauma, and is meant to not have any weaknesses.  Still, some things may harm him more than others.

Radiation: Nidus is not especially weak to radiation, in fact he can absorb some of it and take a lot more than a human can.  But recovering from radiation poisoning takes a lot more energy than traditional healing.

Sound: Nidus is more susceptible to constant, loud noise than a human.  His ability to sense objects partially relies on sound and is not built to withstand excessive abuse.  Constant loud noise consistent with something like a rock concert will make Nidus nearsighted and disoriented.  This is one oversight that was made in his evolution.

???: Nidus has one more weakness that is hinted at elsewhere in this bios.  There is a almost sure-fire way to destroy everything Nidus has ever created, but that is something you must figure out for yourself.

Mental Weaknesses

No apparent mental weakness.

Equipment

The tendril on Nidus back allows for easy ability to integrate with and/or consume biomater.
Nidus WauAo9J

He possesses retractable spikes on the backs of his hands and tops of his feet.  These can be used as natural weapons for stabbing into foes, and are able to drink a portion of their blood with each strike.  They could also potentially be used to inject poison or bacteria.
Nidus 2rej0yd

More equipment can be expected to come soon, as Nidus will create creatures to fulfill various purposes for him.

«««CEREBRAL PROFILE»»»

Personality

Nidus seems like he has a one track mind, focused on the one goal he was given before being sent into the endless abyss that is deep space; survive, adapt, and thrive.  He will do anything to fulfill this purpose and spread creatures of his flesh as far as he can.  Anything that ensures the survival of his race is his top priority.
Aside from that, Nidus is actually very patient and extremely curious.  It was not expected that he would find a world that already had life on it.  It was considered possible, but even before he left homeworld, no alien life had even been found by his kind.  He seeks to understand the life and nature on Earth as much as he wants to use it as a platform to thrive.
He will not act without a reason or cause more disruption than necessary, and has a personality that is geared reacting to things as they come.  He is quite comfortable with killing his prey and enemies but, again, will not do so without a lot of consideration.  In other words, you can expect him not to immediately try to kill you on sight.  He is very straightforward and to the point, with minimal interest in social skills or relationships.  He could be considered introverted, being perfectly comfortable with isolation and only interacting with others if there is a purpose for it.  It would seem everything he does is purpose-driven.

«««PERSONAL BACKGROUND»»»

Family Members: Unknown
Place of Origin: Unknown

History

I would like to have most of this be revealed in roleplay.  It's more fun when you have to dig for things like this, even though a lot of his past can likely be deduced from everything mentioned above.  If you want to know more, you will have to ask him.
In terms of the impact Nidus' past has on his current outlook on the future, Nidus is not concerned with the past.  He is determined to push forward and create a promising future for himself.  The past is irrelevant to him, and there is nothing there to hinder his future.  He has no past relationships or encounters that will affect his life here; it's a completely clean slate.

«««Sample RP»»»

It was dull.  Primitive.  He looked into the creature he consumed and could find no fitting purpose for it but to be consumed.  And yet he knew he must not indulge in that pleasure so easily within his grasp.  It would be too easy, and that is exactly why he mustn't.  The law of nature taught that one must kill or be killed; but one must never kill the goose that laid the golden egg.  One must not bite the hands that feeds.

But this one was to far gone, and so Nidus ate his fill and pressed onward, slinking off to someplace quiet.  There was too much noise here; his chances of survival would be increased if he could stay in hiding long enough to gain a foothold.  The oceans seemed to be full of promise, they dared not go deep into that abyss.  What lived there remained alien and inhospitable even within their own planet.  The waters were close, it would be easy to spread there.  And so the seeds were planted and left to grow; sent out into the unknown with one instruction.  Consume, grow, but stop far short of eradication.  Build enough reserves to further our cause, and let the currents take your kin to the farthest reaches of this planet's surface.  For the seas are rich in nutrients but limited in energy.  Prioritize finding somewhere where the sun shines bright.  Together, our efforts will ensure a foundation for our longevity.

May the flesh never die.  May the blood never cease to flow.

Righto! First, I'm coming up on several redundancies in the details/floof. You mention the muscle strength, and then in abilities mention that he can lift a car. Physical Tuning and his first ability are the same thing, essentially.

And Adaptive mutation explains where he gets the limitless stamina that Physical Tuning and his first ability refer to. Basically, you've reworded or paraphrased the same thing a few times and I'm having trouble finding what each one does differently.

Excluding the mention of rolling a car (which is about 1-2 tons) you mention that he's made to withstand trauma- but I do not see a specific mention of his durability anywhere apart from the weaknesses. Like I can see that it is implied with "built to last" but it seems to be more focused on the fact that Nidus and his kind simply has really good regeneration.

Does Blood is currency travel galactically? Because you've implied that he's already been planet hoping and since it ties into his ability to heal, this implies that Nidus would be able to never be killed under any circumstances.

I assume Gift of Life is an off-screen kind of deal so I will leave it be for now.
