«««SKILL SET»»»
Main Power Origins: Symbiote Physiology
PowersAssimilation - Klyntar's are a race that are most noted for their ability to steal technology and ideas from other empires. They do this in many ways, the most important being their ability to assimilate other peoples consciousness into her own. It doesn't STEAL their thoughts, but it does teach her everything they know. This applies to languages and special skills. She does this through an extended period of touch. It can be hand holding or anything. After 10 seconds of contact, she has grabbed the basics. If she wants more, she must hold on longer. This also works on corpses. (Will get permission for use on PCs.)
Adaptation - Tenacious is the Klyntar races next most obvious trait. Hard to kill is putting it lightly. They're able to survive nearly any situation, from the vacuum of space to the depths of the sea. That's not to say they don't take damage, though. If they're shot, punched, stabbed, they receive damage like anyone else... but they have a healing factor that can heal most wounds in minutes.
Shifting - This part of her kit is used for practical and combat purposes. She can shift the shape and makeup of her body into other things. This can be shifting herself to look like another person, ideally someone she has assimilated already, or she can turn her hands in to blades sharp enough to cut.
Strength - These aliens are strong enough to lift or throw 5 tons.
SkillsMaster at Space Races
Many skills that will develop over time, this will be updated as needed.
AbilitiesReactions on par with Olympic level athletes.
Physical WeaknessesAssimilation Overload - Though she is capable of learning things that other know, some beings are just too talented to copy. Think the Lex Luthor or Batman's of the world. They've gone through such unique and extreme things that even if she copied Batman's detective ability, she wouldn't be able to use it nearly as well as the man himself.
Fire - One of the few things Klyntar's cannot adapt to is fire. It dries them out from the inside, making her body shrivel and shrink. Extended exposure would definitely kill her.
Heal Factor Overloading - Though she's capable of regenerating from almost any wound, Mania's healing factor can be overloaded. If this happens, she'll fall into a comatose state and be defenseless for a while.
Mental WeaknessesFood - Mania is obsessed with Earth's cuisine. She loves the food and flavor of things that even AREN'T food. She can be bribed very easily for food.
Survivalist - It's in her DNA to survive. It's her races core directive. If a situation starts to look too dangerous, she's prone to running away.
EquipmentCarnage - this is the name of Mania's prized possession. Her bike. It's top speed is unknown, but it's been seen to go over 2000 miles an hour on straightaways, or even at light speed for long distance travel in space. It can only hold one passenger, though. It's handling is impressive as well. Did I mention it can fly? It can fly.
For land races, or most planetary travel, it’s max speed is 300 mph.
«««CEREBRAL PROFILE»»»
PersonalityAwkward is a generous term applied to Mania. She's known to show strange behavior, and not care much that she's being stared at. This could include eating out of the dumpster or chasing cats. She's always looking out for herself or her friends, if she can. This makes her come across as whimsical or scatterbrained. If she's bored of a conversation or a situation, she's prone to just leaving without warning and doing something that'll actually entertain her.
Her demeanor makes her look like she might have an attention problem. She's fidgety and rarely stares too long at any one thing. The Earth habit of looking at who you're talking to hasn't been one she's tried hard to learn.
«««PERSONAL BACKGROUND»»»
Family Members: N/A
Place of Origin: Knull
HistoryKnull was a planet built on pirates and stolen technology. This made it seem like it was wonderfully powerful, but in reality it's best defense was the fact that it was on the outskirts of the galaxy. That said, when their influence started to spread so did their infamy. Klyntar's were looked at like an invasive species, and rarely allowed to settle anywhere. This is the necessary backstory to hear Mania's true tale, so let's start.
At young ages, Klyntar are not the traditional looking babies. No, instead they begin as a small sludge like being until they get their first assimilation. For Mania, she was spawned far away from civilization and left. Certainly not uncommon. It wasn't until a man arrived on the planet at an insanely high speed. This was where she met Eric Axxelt. A half human full rebel that was the best pilot the galaxy had ever seen.
He accidentally stepped on the black sludge that was Mania after the force of the G's that Carnage could put out made him collapse. This was Mania's first assimilation.
When the man finally awoke, he found Mania sitting on his bike as a toddler sized humanoid. They became fast friends, not in the least because most of her personality traits were stolen from him at the time. Her ability to take his skills in riding gave her an edge that he could never have. Even with equipment and protection, Eric's human body was too frail to withstand the insane speeds that his skills could maintain easily.
But Klyntar's were resilient, and they both found that she was capable of insane things. Though Eric was jealous, he accepted his limitations and introduced Mania to the world of race. She very much enjoyed it, going from race to race and never seeing a loss. She was as skilled as the most skilled rider in the universe, so it was hard not to be amazing.
One day, Eric told her she was grown enough to be on her own. He left after selling her Carnage, and she didn't think about why too much. At this point she was rather famous across the galaxy. They even named a flavor of space goop after her!
Her story now picks up from her returning to a race she'd won before. One of the biggest races ever. This year it was held on... Earth? What's that?
