It's time, Kaden thought to himself as he eyed the shady motel with suspicion. Kids his age with attitudes like his were the target of shady peddling businesses like this. That was how this lead fell into his lap, honestly. Friend of a friend's weed dealer telling him about the distributors in the area... most of them were harmless stoners, and Kaden was liberal enough to scuff and let them go. When he heard about this spot though, he realized there was merit to taking these guys down.
The careless stoner that lead him here lived in the motel, but behind it was a warehouse that had dozens of armed guards and all kinds of different shade floating around it. Just begging for a hero to do some snooping.

That's what Kaden was here for. An amateur, but he knew he was capable. Besides, thugs selling drugs couldn't be too scary. Especially if they were small enough not to be on anyone's radar for this long.

This in mind, the teen moved. A few small and quiet explosions as propulsion to get him on the roof of the warehouse was enough, then it was just a matter of finding a window that was open, or making his own sort of opening. Inside the warehouse was dreary and dark, nothing could really be seen from this high up. Frustrated, Kaden quickly discovered that the windows were locked. He never bothered to learn how to pick locks, so he had to come up with his own solution unique to him.

...with another explosion, the window was shattered. Yeah, stealth wasn't really his speed anyway. He quickly jumped down to an upper metal walkway. The guards were alerted and taking defensive positions, and the boy's flamboyant outfit didn't help him hide... but his speed was enough. "DIE!" He quickly took down two guards, only letting them get off a few gunshots. Though he'd made the threat, he didn't kill either. The sound of battle easily radiated over to the motel and surrounding areas.

"****..." Kaden breathed out as he landed on the lower level. Guards were looking and shooting at shadows, but with his speed he seemed to have lost them for a few moments... only to discover this wasn't just some drug factory. There were cages on the ground floor, all filled with young teenagers. Some had obvious mutations, others looked normal, but Kaden's quick wit figured out what this was. A meta-human trafficking facility. He might have gotten in over his head.

Jenny was scouting out the set of of the drug den to gift info on it to some newbie kids to take care of as practice when she saw a kid landing on the roof and eyed him a bit more as she stood on the roof across the street. She walked up to the ledge of the building and curiously watched him as.. He blew up the window…. Nice kid… very nice… hopefully he knew how to fight or else this kid would be done for in seconds of being down there..

She then backed up deciding, she might want to baby sit cause if she didn’t this newbie may end up dead. She then ran forward and jumped off the ledge with an energy blast and front flipped landing on the other building with her extra added boost for the blast and rolled safely on the building the kid was now in. She turned on the night vision on her mask making the eye circuits light up more as she peeked down into the building to watch the kid.

She sighed hearing him shout and pulled up her hood that covered her hair and mouth with its added parts and to help better her in a black color. She feeling a bullet shoot past her only inches away made her tense a bit but remained as calm as she could as she made a rope from the window down to the metal walk way. She slid down on it to be a quiet as she could and reabsorbed the construct as she landed in a perching position and one hand helping her stay up right that rested on the metal walk way. She looked to see the crates of teens and her eyes narrowed realizing what the place really was…

She looked over to where the boy was and stayed low to the ground as she started toward him but trying to stay quiet until she got to him and slowly stood up whispering. ”I’m not saying to leave… but this would be the best time to if you don’t think you can do this… if you choose to stay I’ll help you but this is no task for a newbie hero...And before you potentially protest, I know you're a newbie by how you got in here and your immediate actions…” She said flatly in a whisper only he could hear with a soft japanese accent.

As Kaden plotted out his course through the fight, he caught on to the armored lady approaching stealthily. He raised his palm towards her before realizing that she wasn't trying to threaten him. His guard never faltered, but he lowered his threatening hand. As she spoke, she'd be able to tell that her words of warning were not helping him much. He grit his teeth and glared at her for underestimating him.

"Tch. I don't know who you are, lady, but don't talk about **** you don't understand. I'm not leaving here, and I won't lose to punks like these, got it?! A real hero never loses." If she was astute, she may notice that her underestimation of him had motivated him to do even better here as he put his left hand over the cover they'd ducked behind. "Close your eyes, woman."

That was the only warning he gave before a bright flash and loud band echoed out. Many curses were heard from the thugs, but even more importantly, Kaden was launching himself up to the walkway where about six armed thugs were rubbing the temporary blindness from their eyes. "DIE!" He screamed, launching an explosion at the walkway and back flipping away.

Another loud crash echoed out as the heavy metal crashed to the ground, leaving the thugs in a mess of metal 20 feet below. Incapacitated, but alive. As Kaden landed next to Jennifer again, gunfire rang out more from the surviving thugs. He was thankful that the cages seemed to be well protected..
"How's that for amateur, idiot?"

Though his attitude was trash, the kid was talented. And he knew it.

This kid…. Was…. the worst… My god… the oh heaven lord of creation and death…. The… WORST. If she hadn’t been aged up this kid would likely be older than her! But a year or 2! And he's way worse than she ever was! ****ing…. Gaaaaaaah. Jenny despite her frustration had her emotions hidden behind her mask hood and mouth cover. She though closed her eyes letting him do his blast before watching him fight. When he came back she took a deep breath before speaking rather coldly to him.

”I’ve been working as a hero since i was 13 years old going on 14 fighting giant monsters in germany, rebuilding towns and cities to help fix what i helped break, helped talk teen criminals into reforming from crime, fought in 2 hero teams, had the teen titans try to recruit me from robin himself, tortured for months before watching all my parents get killed in front of me, was killed, came back to life, and formed a hero team.... I apologize if I think I know what a newbie hero looks like… note.."

"Never said amateur… just said new… Heroes in the end win yes… but only knows who know when to ask for help and know when they need to take a step back to replan things out and return back later. I never told you you had to leave i in fact gave you an option of my help if you stay. And as for your performance… You fight well… but fighting is not the only thing you need to not be killed in battle or for something bad to happen to you before you win. And note… you can still win a battle as a hero… and still end up dead."

"And if you're dead.. You can’t help anyone. My name is Energy Knight… Not Idiot… If you don't want my help fine. GO fight and hope you don't get shot… one shot is all it takes… one… good… SHOT.” she said before gesturing to allow him to run off. Even if he did… hopefully something she said just then would stick to him after tonight… that is if he survived.

In response to Kaden's sass, the girl decided that the best response was to lecture him. He scuffed, barely paying attention to her words. A bullet ricocheted off the wall above his head, making him flinch. With a growl he shot another explosion to the rafters. If Energy was paying attention, she'd notice the walkways were being carefully downing in front of the cages to protect the hostages even more.

"Listen, Energy Idiot, this isn't really the time for lectures is it? I don't need to hear you bragging about your hero cliques, and I never said you can't help me. Now shut the Hell up and do something!"

Kaden already had his phone out and was dialing 911. He wasn't sure the police would be able to make it here in time, but if they were successful they'd need some way to transport the victims away after the fact. Unfortunately right after he got connected to the operator, his bracer was hit by a stray bullet and he dropped the phone.

"Damn it! DIE!" He screamed again, throwing a nearby pipe as far as he could towards the gunfire. A satisfying thud and cuss echoed out and the boy grinned wickedly. He glanced back to the Energy Warrior and scuffed, rubbing his wrist. "I've going to work on getting these weaklings over on this side out. Do whatever you think you're capable of, but don't expect me to bail you out if you get in over your head."

He'd launch himself quickly towards the cages, harsh explosions blasting open the gates as the helpless victims begged him to save them. He blew a hole in the brick wall and shouted back. "THERE! AN EXIT! SAVE YOUR DAMN SELVES!"

SHe listened to him… and with each word… she felt the need to punch… the ****… out, of, this, damn, brat!! Brag? Lecture? Cli- awww heeeeeelll no. She looked at him and narrowed her eyes thinking ‘Bang….’ ‘Bang….’ ‘Bang…’ Every time he left himself open to her…. All it would take was any of these shots from her that he wouldn’t be expecting to knock him off balance… THen these goons could easily shoot him and only one of the handful here had to get in a good hit…. Just one… and when they did the others could fill him with bullets...And he’d be gone…

This kid was going to get the wrong person pissed… one day….He wouldn't last more than a year if he didn’t learn his lesson at all in that year…. SHe walked over and looked at the gun meen remaining on the walk ways and on the ground before blasting from her feet and front flipping onto one as she formed large claws twice the size of her normal hands and stuck low to the ground as she ran and just as the men started to aim at her she shot out 2 weak blasts from her eyes to move their guns out of the way of her direction.

They though shot as she did this causing them to miss her just in time for her to stab one in the chest with her claws and threw him over using his weight that she swung over to the other side of the walkway to throw off to help her spin on her foot as she flung her other foot square into the man's side sending out an energy blast making him fall off the walkway.

Seeing a few men aiming at her she jumped up and just barely missed some bullets as she grabbed onto a pipe on a ceiling and swung legs up to touch the ceiling that she kicked off of with a blast and shot herself down diagonally at one of the shooters and shot the other with an eye blast making them fall off as she stabbed both claws into the 2nd shooters chest and tackled him down riding him down to the ground where he landed flat onto another shooter.

She then jumped off him and onto another gunner that she wrapped her legs around his neck and swung forward making him fall forward as she extended out her arms and used her core hips and legs to swing him what would now be behind her to throw him at the next gunner letting go of him. She got up to her feet and turned her claws into a large shield that blocked the bullets of the last gunner standing as she walked at him and then suddenly turned the shield into a spike extending it quickly forward to stab the gunners hand making him drop the gun.

She then reabsorbed the spikes energy and jumped up giving the man a spinning kick to the face with an added energy blast knocking him the **** out. She then grabbed the dropped gun and swung it at the gunman who had one of his buddies on him as he was shoving his buddy off and started to get up. She shattering his nose and grabbed him by the hair before he fully fell again and was nearly out cold.

SHe tossed the gun to the side and pulled the man up to just barely his feet with his bent from how weak they felt now. ”I could have shot you 8 times throwing you off and signaling these adults were you were… they all could have shot at you then and if one jhit you just right they could have all killed you with all the bullets….I said I had been a hero… I never said i still was…”

“Next time you piss someone off make sure you watch them like they could kill you” She then bit his neck tearing off a massive hunk of flesh and swallowed it baring her fangs before she tossed the man down to the ground as he screamed in pain and kicked him in the face knocking him out. ”If you get yourself killed… don’t come back… you won’t like who you’ll be upon coming back…… also… totally and utterly **** off… cause you don't know what youre talking about cause you know jack **** about me… so don't ****ing talk to me like a child who doesn’t know ****…”

SHe started to walk off. ”Oh and never have i met someone technically older than me who has acted so immature… I only last week turned 16 and you're clearly older than me so what's you’re excuse for acting like an immature little girl who just recently came out of her preteens?” SHe said as she shot up onto the walk ways without ever looking back and started to leave.

The mysterious heroic stranger was really starting to grate on Kaden's nerves, but at least she finally decided to start helping. As Kaden focused on getting the hostages safely out of the warzone, she took out what was left of the shooters. He was about to praise her for her delayed assistance, but the girl had already geared up for another of her poorly timed and annoying speeches.

"Hng. Advice for you: a real hero doesn't hesitate to help people in danger. Every moment you wasted running that annoying mouth of yours, a hostage of one of us could have been killed. Don't walk around calling yourself a hero if you're this mediocre! And I'm only 16 too, Energy Idiot!"

Probably could have done without the added insults, but useless idiots walking around comparing themselves to real heroes really pissed him off. He picked up his phone, thankful he got a nice expensive case to prevent it from breaking...
He'd hang up, figuring the operator could glean what had happened by the gunshots. He already heard sirens anyway.

Kaden would stick around long enough to make sure that the Meta's were in the safe hands of the police, then give his statement to the cops himself. He didn't really care to notice the media snapping pictures of him in the after glory of his newest success... until he heard his mother in the crowd screaming out to him.

"Kacchan!"

The next day, when the headlines read "New Aspiring Hero: Kacchan!", Kaden would scream out his anger.
